(Dunno why Geoff always provides new info to EGS but there you go :shrugblob:).
It's pretty much the only event in which Epic still announces stuff and it's basically because Geoff wants to give them a space to fill some time. No others give a shit about them anymore but Geoff

I didn't grab much in the sales, but there were a few games I couldn't pass up. Those bring Pac-Man Museum+ and Lovely Planet Remix. I've spent more money on coffee gadgets...
Excellent purchase (Pac-Man Museum+). (y)
I hope you are enjoying it. ;)

So much fun stuff in there, and it's the kind of compilation that, in my case, I end up launching every day or so, even if it's for 5-10 minutes, just to squeeze in a play or two of one of the games included.
Check everything, since even the lovely compilation credits unlocks stuff. :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:

As a bit of a curiosity, the company behind this compilations made... Splatterhouse 2, 3, and the NES spin-off Wanpaku Graffiti.
Talk about a departure.

So I've been hearing about these "Utawarerumono" games but I don't know what is the recommended order to play so if someone here could enlighten me I would be super grateful.

Since earlier I mentioned the PAC-MAN series (because of the PAC-MAN MUSEUM+ release), allow me to quickly mention two things, in case anyone is interested:

First of all, with all the rights complications with Ms. PAC-MAN, leading to its non-inclusion in further compilations, and the character being changed in several games, in case anyone is interested in owning this game (which, I would guess, is at risk of being removed one of these days) the individual release, as part of Namco's Arcade Game Series, is still available, and it's on sale for less than 1€:

And second, as I detailed in a post I'll link to, the NAMCO MUSEUM ARCHIVES Vol 1 release includes a true gem that isn't very well known: an 8-bit "demastered" version of PAC-MAN Championship Edition, that is insanely fun, and well worth checking out for those who enjoy the series, or score-attack games in general.

Here's another gameplay video, followed by a link to my previous post about the game:

prelude to the fallen (remake of the first game) -> mask of deception -> mask of truth

the order is the chronological one

the new RPG (monochrome) is a prequel to mask of deception/truth duology

This shitty rockstar launcher.
I've bought RDR2 and can't play because apparently my steam account is linked with an old rockstar account I made I don't know when.
The email associated with it is deactivated so I can't log in since I can't remember the password.
I'll try with the procedure to remove the link...

Almost 32m and still no Kingdom Hearts.
I do think they will come next year, it makes sense to release them without any other S-E release nearby. Stranger of Paradise is likely to pop-up shortly after the 1-year mark and KH might be at any random day, what if 2 years mark? Who knows, but IDK, I guess it makes sense to me to release them in a quieter period.

just shows how much of a huge success it must have been on the Epic Game Store. Square is, obviously, really happy with the amount of money they made there, and doesn't feel the need to publish it anywhere else.
:timinator:

Either that, or as I was saying, their janitor hasn't found the time yet to publish the Steam version. Those floors at Square HQ don't clean themselves.

Now THIS is what we really need to know.
Bah let's be real, we need a release date, but we can't fault Atlus for a weak release calendar this fall.

edit
Which, come to think of it, is a little worrying as they already announced a slate of remasters for the beginning of the year. Where is SMTV, you motherfuckers ? :thinking-blob:

How do you participate? I was playing last night and didn't see anything different.
Im not sure if its still up, it just affected some of the missions you played by putting a new boss into them and making all the maps dark af so that you cant see anything anymore without a flashlight. Honestly, the gamer should be that dark by default, its much more atmospherical

Yeah, just looked up a video and I see the affected missions were visible on the terminal. I was live most of last night and it never triggered for me. :/

Still have my unopened Switch copy lying around here. I am sure Atlus will announce the PC port when I open it.
Then open the fucking thing!!!

That's how I manage it. Not with self control, but with no budget!
It's actually easier when you have no money which is usually the case for me.
But it's harder when you have some but you know you shouldn't spend it on games.

With the current inflation in living costs, especially heating, energy, and groceries, I am still stingy with buying new games, even if they cost less than a bi-daily run to the supermarket.
I am looking at a sale, seeing that it is less than 3 days of food, and still won't buy it.
Although I was never one to buy one game after another, I'd rather play my evergreens for hundreds or thousands of hours. If a game interests me narratively, I will watch it on YT or Twitch.

Still waiting, also the chat support doesn't work for me? The popup is empty and I can't find the "start chat" button inside the ticket.

Got to play a fair bit of Darktide over the weekend. Really enjoying it so far. A lot of fun.

I do have a couple of minor complaints. Why is it nurgle again? I mean there are 3 other chaos gods to choose from, Genestealer Cults and Tyranids. The other factions are not necessarily known for city warfare but could still work.

there needs to be more maps. I think there may be 5 or 6 at the moment. The blackout mode does help as it is so easy to get lost at that point. I also think there are a couple of reverse maps, but not 100% sure on that. There needs to be a bit more variety as well. Most of the maps are Hive maps, with only 1 outdoor maps. While understandable to a certain extent there is more variety they could add, such as the upper levels where the more affluent live, the corpse starch factories and so on.

the tutorials outside of combat are none existent, or at least I haven’t seen any. For example the explanation for how, when and what maps have the blackout mini event on them is poor. Turns out the symbols on the right hand side of a level on map selection turns out to be the game mode. For example Horde Mode or the aforementioned mini event.

The technical side still needs a lot of looking at. I have a lot of LoD issues. The game has crashed a few times and i can’t even remember the last time I had any crashes on a game. the random people who join your game can drop in and out of games due to crashes at their end or random disconnects.

however the game is just so much fun. It’s so much fun that it tends to overwrite a lot of these faults. Especially when you are online with friends. The above really looks like I am down on the game. But I have spent 13 hours on it over the weekend. Which should be an indication of how much I like it.

There are 5 maps, and 13 missions total, that use different layouts for these maps.
I agree that it lacks variety there and it's the #1 thing they gotta work on for post-launch support.

Nurgle's always been the poster child for the Chaos Gods, even though we all know Slaanesh is where its at.
