Don't even think about getting Reforged. The best version is still the classic Warcraft 3 + Frozen Throne. If you want to play the campaign, then remember to launch the Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos first, because not all campaigns are visible if you launch the game through the Frozen Throne exe file.
Piracy, cross your fingers you have old discs somewhere or buy them somewhere online.
If you didn't back up your installation before the Reforged update, then I don't think there is a way. There was a trick with opting for a PTR version of the game and that would install the pre-reforged version, but I don't know if it still works.
that's a shame, it's a pretty damn good puzzle game. I'd probably do the same for most games where I lost a big chunk of progress, thoughI was halfway through The Pedestrian last night and when I got back to the game today, my progress was gone. Huge bummer. Lost my motivation to continue playing.

This is the company that announced a The Last Remnant remaster, pulled the game from sale on PC but only sold the remaster for consoles, so you can buy neither the remaster nor the original for PC currently. That was 4 years ago.I keep forgetting how truly bizarre some of Square-Enix's platform decisions can be. From talking with a friend who just caved and bought a Switch, I realized that games like Harvestella and Octopath aren't on Playstation.
And I was just reminded that they announced a new Theatrhythm game but only for Switch and PS4. Just... why lol. Why can't they just be normal?
