I attempted to play
Prey (2017) with my 360 controller... Apparently, you are forced to activate Steam controller API to use a controller in the game. So I had to exit the game, and activate that for the game. Back in, the official 360 controller profile designed by Arkane is loaded automatically!
"Nice!"
I end up in the menu, I can control the mouse pointer with my right stick.
"Interesting choice..."
I then find out, I am completely unable to click on any menu button, since "click" is not mapped to anything on the controller.
"That sucks."
I double check the controller profile, can't find anything mapped to clicking. Re-import the profile. No dice.
I decide to load my old save using the enter key.
Game loads.
I can controll the camera fine with the stick, except the sensitivity is off the charts. I then attempt to use... Well, any button at all on the controller....
NOTHING works.
Nice
"official" controller profile. I check PCGW, and it list some kind of controller hack mod you can enable to force the game to use regular Xinput instead, but that it shouldn't be needed, since the controller issues "should be solved" since some patch...
