LRB1983 I don't really see issue here. As long as physical versions exist, which is a good thing (but less and less useful), you will have broken street dates.
Nintendo can't come and say, 'ok, some people got their game already, we advance the launch by one week'.
I mean, sure, they could make the digital version available now, but in a remote cabin in the boonies, some people without online would groan.
There is no winning, except dropping physical. And even then, I'm pretty certain publishers would still keep to a release date.
