Got my new PC up and running. Outside of the internal Wi-Fi receiver being kind of crap (had to use my old USB one to get decent speeds), it's working like a beaut. Playing Wukong and Helldivers 2 maxed out and Deadlock and Overwatch 2 with HDR is awesome.
Finished the demo (it covers the first two hours of the game) and it sure feels like a sequel to Kathy Rain. Comfy PnC game, with neat writing, interesting characters and puzzles that expect you to think a bit, without expecting dream logic.
Last week was Pentiment's 2nd anniversary. I interviewed Josh Sawyer for RPG Site to discuss how he feels about Pentiment now, cheese (not coffee), his work on Avowed, book and film recommendations, The Name of the Rose, how Seinfeld influenced a character design, and a ton more.
I'm sorry, but I can't offer any advice. I think I got lucky because it just worked out of the box. My last monitor was also a decade old so any sort of new monitor would be a massive improvement.
My condolences. The amount of games you will be missing out on will be staggering.
Like Mat Piscatella and others have been saying, consoles market aren't growing for a reason. And with Xbox out, Sony can can do what they want and with Trumps idiocy, I expect everything console-wise to become far more expensive.
Consoles don't have a bright future.

Don’t have a pc! But I do have a Mac and a steam deck for some games.
Oh I’m not lacking in games to play. Also if I never bought another game, I would still have 3000+ games to play on my deck. So I’m all set either way.

FWIW, HDR injections (or even just PC HDR in general) are still kind of hit or miss. There's no one stop solution for everything, and you must be willing to tinker with it. However, when properly calibrated, it looks fantastic, especially on an OLED screen.

So I am in Chapter 2 and I just been going around collecting items and stuff. I noticed I can't go to Blackwater (|| because wanted there from intro) ||) but I am wondering if I want to get the legendary animals there - can I use the trapper and the fence in thieves landing?
Keep in mind, haven't really done any missions and I am in Chapter 2. I will most likely take a boat around Blackwater, will I have my horse? I guess if I stay near shore and whistle that works?
Or save and reload - my horse will be there?

Thought the game couldn't run on Steam Deck with the soldiers amount increased. Glad to be wrong though. They are probably aiming for Verified status too if so.

I'm enjoying Wukong more than I thought I would. It's very much Souls-lite, but after getting my teeth kicked in by Erdtree I'm down for something a bit more kinder and gentler. Also I know basically nothing about Chinese mythology so seeing something new is fun.
Also I think I'm going to get AC Shadows and Monster Hunter Wilds on PC. Was going to get them on PS5 but I honestly think my monitor is nicer than my TV and if I want to play it on the TV I can use remote play.

The documentation was updated to say that the description of the content of a season pass doesn't have to be detailed, for example, saying that a season pass or DLC has 2 new weapons is acceptable.
Saw some people wondering on other places about what the season pass documentation meant for fighting games, if they had to announce all season pass characters as soon as the season pass goes live, but the updated documentation not needing detailed descriptions means that fighting games can keep doing the season pass character announcements as before.

From what I saw on the statistics, the overwhelming vast majority of the images they cited were Pepe images, which in of itself isn't hateful but depends entirely on context. The rest of the stuff on the list (I.E: nazi stuff) is way smaller in count, and I'd agree that stuff needs to go.
However, from what I hear, there is a senator that is trying to push for regulations on Valve that apparently takes funding from Disney (Who in turn invests in Epic Games), so this could very well be another situation where a politician is bankrolled to intentionally cause damage to a competitor that's larger.
Apparently this works on the Steam Deck and Proton now, I downloaded it a bit ago on Windows to try out, but I gotta download it again to check here.
All Valve really has to do is deincentivize joke reviews and then completely get rid of the jester award. Most stuff on the Steam forums nowadays is grifting (on either side) and engagement farming for steam points. Not to delve into politics too much, but there's cases of people who make a forum post crying about "woke" stuff in games, just to then delve into their post history to see them defend that stuff anyways. If that's not grifting, I don't know what is. That word has completely lost any of it's meaning at this point.
There was another example where a indie developer did a tweet dunking on a Steam forums post from another grifter asking if the game was that, just to then have the developers thank them for the post, which in of itself is false flag marketing.
I honestly think those two changes would improve the discussions boards by a ton.
