Yep. Hard to be excited for these technologies when AAA devs use it as a crutch to hit the same framerates and resolutions we used to have but now with stutters and worse image quality.Yea you know, i don't think i am willing top accept a future where new GPU's always launch at these insane prices while simultaniously games are more and more """optimized""" solely with DLSS in mind if you want to have any performance at all, when i can't even tell the graphical differences between a brand new game and one from 7 years ago anymore
An official Steam Deck Geforce Now app is nifty. I might subscribe to it for a month to see how the performance is docked. They are also updating the other DLSS technologies which will benefit RTX 20, 30, and 40 series users.NVIDIA DLSS 4 Introduces Multi Frame Generation & Enhancements For All DLSS Technologies

I'm annoyingly tempted to buy VF5 to try the series out for the first time. It's a shame it couldn't have been on PC when I was in college and first trying out fighting games.Proper footage. Man I so hope they stick to this style and concept, totally opposite from most fighters adding juggles and specials and shit (and even VF fell victim to this to look more stylish like Tekken adding impact glows and shit like that after the first 3-4 games that were attempting to be martial arts simulators).
The more you buy, the more you save. Why buy a 5080 over a 5070 ti?
From my understanding it's only getting 4090 performance with all the fake frames, FG and DLSS4 all enabled.4090 in performance
Yeah, that's probably a pretty misleading bit of marketing hype. I also haven't been too impressed with DLSS3 framegen thus far (I haven't used it extensively, but in every game I've tried it in, I saw noticeable artifacting, especially when moving the camera horizontally), so idk how multiple AI-generated frames are going to look in practiceFrom my understanding it's only getting 4090 performance with all the fake frames, FG and DLSS4 all enabled.
So I would think it's not really.
Yeah, the new DLSS model is looking pretty nice (from 03:17 until 07:06):One thing that it really nice coming out of the NV presentation is the new transformer-based DLSS model.
(It seems like this is coming to all existing HW that can run DLSS)
Seems like so, the digital foundry video has a couple examples about ghosting at 05:03 and 05:20.I wonder if the new transformer model for DLSS 4 is going to fix the ghosting problem with temporal solutions. Will be interesting to hear the opinion from someone like ThreatInteractive who constantly derails against TAA solutions.
Oh, you're one of those asymmetric gamepad sickos?
AI processing is the only explanation I can think of...Why buy a 5080 over a 5070 ti?
Only need these two
You play games?JA3 is actually REALLY dang good, highly recommended!

Hopefully they can get eGPU support working decently in Game Mode (like with the ROG Ally), alongside NVIDIA GPU support working.Steam News - SteamOS expands beyond Steam Deck - Steam News

Nice, thanks
Haven't played it but I remember reading about this a few months ago. I think it's more of a glorified chat room than anything else though.
Cheers! Another for the wishlistThe wife and I had a go at this over the weekend and it was alright....

Is Game Mode even usable yet on NVIDIA GPUs with Bazzite?
Nintendo console is always about exclusive. Switch 1 had a very successful first year which led to subsequently great years, thanks to a carefully-calculated launch schedule of games.I'm curious about the Switch 2 and how well will it sell. I'm sure that it will eventually sell over 100 million units, but will it be able to reach the 146 million that Switch 1 sold? Or do you think something happened between then and now to make it where it will fall a few tens of millions units short?
Will parents still buy them for their kids or will price play a roll until Switch Lite comes around and knocks the price back down to something closer to $200.
UMPC exist, but those are not selling in the 10s of millions of units. Cellphones keep getting better, you do still have cloud steaming and other options that exist.
So long as Switch 1 is being supported will that keep the growth of Switch 2? Why upgrade when there are still games being made for Switch 1.
What was the difference between PS5 and Switch sells. The PS5 is still selling but it doesn't seem to be selling as much as prior consoles have right? Or something like that.
I'm not buying a Switch 2 right away, but eventually when Nintendo releases the remake of Pokemon Black and White, I'm buying that Special edition Switch 1/2
As long as they price it correctly (under 400$) and it has BC it should be fine. maybe not 150 million but it will definitely reach 100-120 million which is still a big win for them.I'm curious about the Switch 2 and how well will it sell. Pierre-Loup said "we have a ton of hardware efforts going on". Very interesting.
