What, Void Bastards IS on Mac, was so sure it wasn't when I looked and I was going to go beg for it in the Steam forum haha. But what sucks is the coupon goes out the same day I get money but the coupon goes out in the morning before I have a chance to get steam funds.T_T

Minoria looks so cool, I cannot wait for it. I also hope the dev isn't done with Momodora series though, it has surprisingly interesting lore that I'd like to see further explored.

Steamworld Quest is up

(will probably turn it into general Steamworld series OT later on)

I have always watched all of the shows EXCEPT pc gamer thing haha so guess nothing changes for me.
I actually watched last year's PC Gamer show, and it was a pretty decent watch (especially compared to previous years, where it was a complete bore.
The two presenters did a good job, the female presenter was funny and very easy on the eyes ( :giggle: ) and then SEGA decided to kick ass, and announce two Yakuza games and a couple of other Japanese games, and it made it all worthwhile.

Yeah, the PC show last year was actually pretty good, getting more comfortable with the lower budget aspect of it and using the strengths of day9 as a presenter.

It was also a more innocent time where we could hear announcements for games and just think "that looks interesting and it's coming for PC... nice!!" instead of replaying the trailer to see if mentions any store (I'm looking at you Maneater).

Anyway, I'm also on the camp that can't believe that is really looking forward to the MS conference. If they play their cards right (and they are doing that so far) they can get a huge amount of goodwill back from the whole UWP fiasco.

a MAJOR asshole ;)
What... no "Epic asshole" pun? Too obvious?

In happier (but not for my wallet) news, SteamWorld Quest blindly bought. I had way too much fun with their other games and it's cheap. Now I just have to find more money somewhere because between all these sales and releases I'm spending waaaaaay too much.

A mildly interesting thing - that most of you probably already know but I didn't - I just found out thanks to the Spire of Sorcery development update: among the various data developers have access to on Steam, there's one that splits the number of times a game has been added to the wishlist by language and country, which is a helpful tool to understand where to invest when translating a game.

That's why I keep adding Chinese games that don't have an English language option to my wishlist. ;)

OK, so what was everyone's beef with Dead Rising 3? I remember it getting a bad rep at the time, but the short time I tried it out, it seemed as a more modern take on Dead Rising 2. Controls a bit better, Slicker UI.

Also, funny that it actually seems to roll with some of the story elements from the two awful Dead Rising movies...

Love Evil Genius, so I can't wait for EG 2.
Hopefully it will live up to the original game.

I knew it was coming, since several months ago I participated in a small survey from Rebellion to give feedback on the name of the sequel, and the logo presentation.

All the people I know that have played it say it's awesome and wonderful, the team keeps doing an stunning job with this robots :D
Yeah it's awesome how consistently good their games are! I should really pick up their most recent games.

It's not as silly or challenging as the other games with much worse psychopaths. I mean, I really liked it and so but DR1 and DR2 are so much better IMO. Stay far away from DR4 tho.

I didn't like that they moved away from the talkshow format, but it was the best of them last year. I hope, as much as I will dislike it's epic focus, it's as good at new reveals as possible, egs or not.

The MS show will be the other I watch just to see if PC actually gets some stage time.

.... ok.. fine. Everyone keeps talking about how good it is.

I will buy Void Bastards even though Rogue-like is not my favorite genre (with some exceptions). Might as well use that 25% off coupon.

Insert bully emoji here :p
Yeah I'm in the same boat. I really like the look of Void Bastards! It really is tempting me right now, especially with that coupon. It shouldn't though, as I'm already drowning in my 2019 backlog let alone my whole library on Steam o_O

Monooboe Hopefully Void Bastards is in the Summer Sale as i don't think you can gift me the coupon and i buy the game and gift it to you then you pay me back would work.

Kvik Void Bastards FPS segment is not anything like an immersive sim really, not if you're expecting Looking Glass style I.S. You're essentially running around the ship looking for materials/fuel/food/ammo before your O2 runs out in 7:30. there are traits and modifiers for everything to help shake things up on each derelict and between runs when your client dies.

Think FTL but the ship combat bit is replaced by Ship FPS.

Warhammer: Chaosbane dlc model is yikes.
Yeah. It's ridiculous.
They even had timed-exclusive content for pre-orders during that Warhammer weekend.
So, if you pre-ordered the game after that weekend, you are already missing out on content.

Pre-order bonus content. Timed-exclusive content. Multiple editions. DLCs. Microtransactions.
I like the genre, and this game would be something I would be looking to buy, but I honestly reached a point where I can't be bothered to deal with this crap.
Especially not when I'm yet to finish Grim Dawn, and I have the latest expansion of Titan Quest to play (thanks to The Queen :cat-heart-blob:).

Whenever I see a game that locks me out of content because I didn't buy the game before "x" date (even before release), and presents me with multiple editions (each more expensive than the other), details plans for future DLCs and whatnot, again all before release, I skip it.
My time is limited, my money is limited, my patience is limited, my backlog is immense, and my alternatives endless. :)

Yeah I think I can wait to play it. Summer is here and I should spend it outside.:D
