Now I want a Baten Kaitos collection. :steam_cleanseal:
God I wish, sadly I think it's a no-go since it's partially owned by Nintendo. Plus trying to get those prerendered backgrounds up to speed on modern resolutions when the assets are probably all gone is also a breakpoint. I still have my gamecube copies at least, as long as my wii and gamecube still work. :sweaty-blob:

People actually still buy foils for more than 10 cents, who knew?
Fat stacks! 💵

I remember when a regular card was around 0.50$ and foils could go for 5+$. I bought so many games by selling cards it's ridiculous.

I wonder if there's an easy way to see how much money you've made by offloading junk on the Steam marketplace.

Why do I always think it's a good idea 4o put my computer in storage, that I will some how magically become a more active person.XD Instead now I'm just bored and miss playing games haha.

I did however go to a nude place and started working on my tan! But now I'm all red and need to stay inside today haha!

I think enhanced steam used to do that.

When cards first launched you could $1.20+ for just the standard Borderlands cards. God only knows what Randy spent that cash on.

Bought Dicey Dungeons on Itch. First time ever that a site charges VAT for me.

Not that bad but unusual. Will never understand why Americans show their prices before tax.
Because in the US there's no national VAT but there are sales taxes levied by states, conties, and cities so with online purchases the amount owned isn't known until payment information is entered.

FF13 is fun :drinking-blob:
Yeah! I need to play more FF games but it's the one with my favorite battle system.

Hope deserves to be bullied though.

:disapproval-blob:

The combat system is indeed interesting... but the story is fanfic-tier garbo. And the fact that right off the bat the exposition is filled with hard-to-follow terms like Fal'cie really doesn't help!

Many complained about its linearity... and even though it did feel too on-rails, it was ok. What kept me playing was the fact that everybody was saying "it opens up after 20 hours!". And yes it did. It stopped being a final fantasy and became something closer to WoW.

It's the only final fantasy where I had to use a trainer just to be able to finish the story.

obviously I don't mean any disrespect. De gustibus non est disputandum...

Played about half an hour of Gato Robo and so far it is okay. Competently made Metroidvania but nothing exceptional. But for 5€ I won’t complain.

Only gripe so far is similar Downwell you unlock new colour palettes by playing the game. Not that it is entirely bad but I think more options should be available at the beginning and the more crazy ones unlockable.

Interesting. In Germany it is either 19% or 7% across the board depending on the product and is always included in the price.

Similar feelings. The lack of color options also got to me.

I sold a foil for $8 just a few weeks ago. I had two of the same foil so the other is still up at that price. It took around six months of being listed to sell but that worked out.

I found the exposition to be the most interesting thing about 13. The Fal'cie, l'Cie and Cie'th are reaaallly interesting concepts. I found that and the world itself to be really fascinating, a shame it was all hidden in the Datalogs and the actually story was kinda whatever (I don't remember much about it) and I was so disappointed with the sequels just dropping this only interesting aspect of the lore in favor of some dumb time bullshit.
So much wasted potential dammit.

If you go https://steamcommunity.com/market with enhanced Steam enabled, to the right of the popular items listings there'll be a box like this:

It might take a refresh or two for it to work. Seems a bit fiddly.

Itch's handling of VAT is unusually annoying.

Not only do they not show you the cost up front, they also require you to enter your address every time you make a purchase so that they can determine that you do in fact still need to pay VAT.

What I do with cards is I sell everything worth over 0.13€ and buy everything with buyorders of 0.03€ I've probably bought alot more than I've sold, but still don't feel I'm wasting money.

Anybody here a (pro) kerbal space program player?
I played it a fair bit a year or so ago. Terrific game if you like space adventuring. Can be pretty complex. I stranded a fair few Kerbals on the Mun before perfecting my interplanetary technique.

If I had saved all trading cards funds (not that it was possible, since initially wallet limit was lower). I'd be able to get a free Valve Index and still have some left for games.
And everyone knows how useless VR is, thus Steam Trading Cards are too.

And thanks to it's Epic exclusivity, I made 20,06€ from Metro Exodus cards, even though I missed first days where cards were most expensive.
Could've made more, but got too lazy to craft boosters everyday.

Trading Cards really are one of the best feature of Steam.

is there any sort of website out there where you can see which games you own that are profitable to craft boosters for?

What they do? Have they said anything specific to that effect?
They don't hate achievements. They just more or less don't care about them

And by not caring I mean that do care to some degree. They did something about achievement spam games. What they don't care is that they don't make a bigger showcase of achievements. The only showcase they have is the rarest achievements

What exactly do people want in terms of achievement improvements?

Maybe I use achievements differently to most people, but the Steam implementation isn't really missing anything for me. I would like a faster way to compare to friends in a specific game, currently that takes too many clicks.

Do other platforms even have an achievement showcase (rare or custom)? I really like that feature.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who did this. The combat was interesting at first but there was so much of it and it became so annoyingly repetitive that I just wanted the game to end... but I was too far along to just abandon the game. Thanks to CheatEngine I got to see how the dumpster-fire of story ended!

I foolishly bought the whole trilogy during a Steam sale, and tried to play the second one... But I jumped ship after 5 hours or so when I realized it was going to be hot garbage as well.

13-2's story is hot garbage, but its gameplay is way more diverse than 13. There are mini-games and puzzles and the whole monster catching and training angle is really fun, it's also way more open.

I did the same thing with the second one, although I think I jumped ship even earlier than you.

Thankfully I never bought the third one.

Uh, never made it past Barthandelus in the FFXIII, the game was boring and irritating before that with Hope's endless despair, Vanille's unstoppable orgasms, Lightning's "I'm a SOLDIER!" shtick and Snow being an idiot, so I never bothered to flex my muscles to beat the guy. The only bad thing about it is 3 additional grands I've spent on XIII-2 and Lightning Returns.

I personally want a platinum equivalent on steam. Right know there is just a counter with "Perfect Games" and you can't actually lookup which games those are without a 3rd party stat tracking tool. The completion rate stat also seems to be bugged for a lot of people.

Also it would be pretty neat if they made DLC achievements a separate list from the main game. For example I unlocked all 50 achievements for Fallout 4 at launch. Now after all the DLC released it dropped down to 60%.
It may seem like a small thing but it actually discourages me from doing all the achievements.

Yes! Cusom audio files support would be the best but if it's coming then probably as steam market items.

yeah, that might be cool

or if each game could have its own audio for unlocking achievements (which the devs could provide ... just like cards)

Alright I will keep trying the tutorial then before I move onto the main game I will watch that.
I honestly found playing the career mode along side that guys videos taught me loads more than the tutorials did. I'd recommend sticking at it as the game is very rewarding once you get the hang of it. Nothing like the feeling of landing on the Mun, blasting back off, rendezvousing with your orbital space station and returning home.

From the steam pages thread

but i have ... FFXIII is the best one!
If you're idea of a good game is the equivalent of a prototype you would.
You need to experience the swagness of Balthier
The brotasticness of Wakka
The Non-conformisim of Quina
The gallantry of Edgar
The revolving door that is Kain
The bossness of Barret

You need more FF in you, child.

So, OCTOPATH TRAVELER launches this week.
I didn't follow the game at all (though I do remember reading some divisive comments here), but I rather like the look and soundtrack of the gameplay videos I've seen.

Is it worth a look?

And, is there any deal around (outside of GMG's 22% off on their VIP section)?

thanks ;)

Does anyone know a good Japanese adventure game (not VN or hybrid, pure adventure game)? I remember playing Glass Rose a couple of years ago, and while it's a terrible game, it has a distinctive feel to it that is very different from the Western made games. Would be interesting to try more of it.
