Steam Labs Patch Notes for Friday, July 12

We’ve seen a great response and a ton of feedback from all of you in the last 24 hours since Steam Labs released! In just over a day, we’ve seen over 3 million page-views across the experiments. The
Interactive Recommender itself has generated a quarter-million clicks through to game store pages and 36,000 subsequent wishlist additions spread across 5,839 unique games. We think these results are pretty great for just over a day of activity with an experimental feature.
We’re still sifting through all the feedback and suggestions you’ve made for these first three experiments, and we’ve already made a few changes based on some of the most common requests. Here are the quick notes on today’s updates:
Steam Labs General
- Added responsive mode to the Steam Labs website for proper display in mobile (though we know there are still issues with some video playback on some devices)
- Added more purple where purple was necessary
Recommender
- Added checkbox to hide recommendations for games that are already on your wishlist
- Recommendations now respect store tags you have already marked to exclude from recommendations. You can set those here at any time: Login
Micro Trailers
- Added pages for games tagged with Physics, God Games, and Voxels
- Adding anonymized tracking codes (same as used throughout the rest of the store) so game developers can tell how much traffic is coming to their store page from micro trailer pages
Thanks for all your suggestions and feedback so far!
