Note for the people interested in Spyro that it's a bit less "platforming" than your average game in the genre, and more "running and gliding".
Spyro does not jump very high, and it's often an excuse to push you to find from where you have to glide/run from.

And it's pretty fun and unique, Spyro is pretty great.
Except the flying challenges.
Those can fuck off.
I agree. Although I'd say that Spyro 1 is more of a " traditional" experience than 2 and 3. Those two introduced new mechanics and mini-games that made the series feel pretty unique.
I also remember thinking that 1 was considerably tougher to complete...

Hello again everyone! There's a hurricane passing by, so I'll likely be without power for a few days. DAMN YOU WEATHER! :jj_mofo:

In DOS 1 and 2 there's a key (left Alt I think) you hold down that labels all the items lying around.

Damn, I had no idea lol, thanks.
Good luck with that hurricane, hang in there and give us updates.

I dreamed about Death Stranding tonight.

There was a new gameplay preview during TGS

Somehow we all found out it was actually an XCOM inspired RTS that takes place on a 1:1 scale map of earth with millions of Units and revolved around genetically altering your Units like Spore but a million times more complex.

The entire Internet went mad and was very upset about this, where as i loved it.
They then published a demo for it on PS4 that i managed to boot on my PC, thus proving that the game would have a PC release as well since the game was already optimized for PC.

Just so you know.
I bet this was a premonition.

I've played Man of Medan for around an hour last night. I had a weird error with my mouse, as in I couldn't click anywhere, because the game would alt-tab to desktop. So I used a controller.
I don't like the fix camera nor the tanky controls, but I expected not to like them because Until Dawn was the same. At least I don't fail most QTEs now due to not knowing the PS buttons.
Apart from the weird issue with the mouse and the horrible tank contols, the game seems interesting.

I played the Shared Story with my brother: I like the fact that we're not seeing the same things and scenes sometimes, I'd prefer to have the collectibles shared, though. Instead, you collect only the things you personally pick up / watch.
In the intro, he was playing the default character, who's hallucinating and seeing some kid running around and hearing whispers and laughs. I didn't experience any of that, because my character didn't have any hallucinations. We even faced different "monsters" near the end of the intro

And on a lighter note, I also started Agent A - A Puzzle in Disguise: it's cute, like a light-hearted, cartoony version of The Room. The game should take about 2 hours to finish (I'm 1 hour in and at chapter 3, there are 4 chapters in total for now).

I still have hopes that everything shown of Death Stranding so far is just a weird VR Mission or some other training simulation made by the Patriots. And in reality the game Kojima has been making all this time is MGS6 with Norman Reedus as Gray Fox.

my headset broke, can't listen to stuff while I grind in gacha games, guess I'll get a logitech g432

I've been using my Platinum Wireless Headset lol. Thankfully Sony had the foresight to include a port for a cable instead of just relying on the wireless dongle (I don't even know if it would work on PC wirelessly). I have a 3.5 meter flat-cord and it works surprisingly well! Big 50mm speakers, durable construction, and work VERY well with Windows Sonic (virtual surround sound).

Of course my backup is and always has been Sony MDR-V6's. I've had the same pair since the 90's lol, they just don't die!

... I guess neither of these would work for you if you need a mic though.

Hmm, just googled it and looks like Homeworld always had a pause and order function.
That's cool, I had so little to play already.
:ripblob:

Oh and Uplay+ is not available yet. It was a ruse to make me open the launcher. I see you Ubi !

Can't get access to Uplay+. Just get error no matter where I click on the client or the site in the browser.

Hmm, Uplay+ seems to have opened.
It also wants to save my payment method. So I swiftly select Paypal. Then it fails.
Ubi gonna Ubi.

Edit. All good now.

Isn't Uplay+ ridiculously overpriced for what it offers?
Free first month. They can dream of me renewing. Dreaming is cool.

That being said, at the time of this post, IMPORTANT INFORMATION : Anno 1800 is not available on Uplay+
Throws the fucking table out the windows. All the tables.

Edit. That being said I guess it can be handy to pay a month for the occasional new AC.

Due to technical reasons Anno 1800 will not be available on Uplay+ at the launch of the service. We are working to make it available for players as soon as possible. We’ll provide a more precise date when we can.

I want a refund of my free month :disapproval-blob:

Preordered Vampire The Masquerade 2. No idea why, as I've never played the first, but yeah.

Also, stupid credit cards from stupid banks from a stupid country. Tried to buy Spyro and the complete edition of Witcher 3 right now and it rejected the payment. I hate these corporations and I hate this country so much:steam_pig_mad:

October 1 I imagine.

Funnily enough I almost hit the buy button on Vampire 2 yesterday too. I heard that there will be hands-on previews on October though, so in the end I decided to wait for those.

There was a hole Anno 1800 there, it's gone now.

As you can see I used Uplay+ to install Starlink. I expected nothing...

The problem with first person view is that the best games are all third person
Lies! Deus Ex, Thief and HL are all FP only!

On a different note, finally finished the main story of Kiwami. It took me 20 hours and overall completion at 33%. My thoughts are the same as before, but I gotta say that Nishiki was one of the hardest bosses in the series, thanks to the Beast style he turned into complete wimp. The fight against Arese on the other hand is still pretty damn hard, just two dudes doing Matrix on the rooftop.

But I STILL don't have an idea what the plot is about; Russian Rastaman is some next step in human evolution or some shit and everyone is trying to kill him before he kills them or...I dunno everyone who is remotely story related gets killed.

What's the deal with CTR and Medievil? Will they also come to PC a year later or does Sony own those IPs?

CTR will probably come to PC, yes, as it's an Activision IP and it's already out for all the consoles.
Medievil tho, that's a PS4 exclusive as it's a Sony IP and that remake/remater (call it whatever you want hehe) it's going to be exclusive for Sony Systems.

:blobcheer:

Spyro is a bit too rich for my blood at full price especially with a packed September. Is it only available for purchase on Steam and not other sites like GMG? or Humble? I have had some humble credit for over a year and I can never find anything to spend it on as it is usually more expensive than elsewhere :(

+ 50% off sale

Great little puzzler, it's not really a golf game and more about planning moves. Still need to complete a few levels, guess the time has come. Also nice that they added an achievement for the additional world, many devs don't when adding content.

My review.

I was watching some videos of Spyro and it made me realize how much I'd love a Bugs Bunny Lost In Time/Time Busters remake. It'll never happen but I'd be all over it.

I'd love a remake of that too! That era really was the golden age for 3D platformers.

The main thing about PS1/N64 era platformers, namely the non-mainstreamly popular ones, is that their control and movement did not age well.
Croc 1 uses TANK CONTROLS and I remember the camera following you as you turn, and when you hold Back, you WALK backwards instead of turning and moving towards the screen @_@

Who are these guys (SimFabric)?
They have a significant amount of games listed as coming soon (and only two, the re-releases of Saboteur I & II already released), all as developers, so I'm wondering how can they be working on all these games at the same time?

Some of the games look very cool, despite the lack of information (and concrete release dates).

I really liked Wuppo. There were a couple of moments / puzzles / boss fights that could have been tweaked to make the experience better. I hope they address them all. I still haven't beaten that final boss.
