Killer Queen Black just launched. Supports crossplay. Originally launched as a niche arcade game in 2013. Also available on Switch with XB1 coming later this year.

Currently sitting at a 84 on OpenCritic.

But whats really interesting to me is the game has a 4 pack. I thought steam stopped supporting multi-packs a while ago? Glad to see them back though!

Arsene Duck Game has a 4-pack so i think the devs/publishers use the option less frequently than it used to be.
4packs were discontinued around September/October 2015 but games that already had them were still allowed to sell them. Duck Game was released in June 2015, a few months before they were discontinued.

The devs of Warhammer Vermintide and Armello were both told by Valve that multipacks were discontinued.

Can we seriously just get devs to stop releasing new games? How are any of our wallets supposed to withstand this unsightly barrage of games?
Honestly the wallet is the least of the problems, the bigger one is time (assuming one isn't buying everything that looks interesting without playing it).

Agreed. Ive been on a bit of a spending spree lately, anything on my list that is around a £5ver ive bought. Its amazing how many quality games you can get for the price of a lunch.

So many games to play and Nov/Dec is looking packed.

This is my experience in Battlefield 5 so far.
  • Click on a menu option to matchmake into a 64 player server.
  • Load in, there's somewhere under 40 players in the match.
  • Stay around for ten minutes to see if it ever fills.
  • The entirety gameplay loop feels like running towards objectives for 30 seconds to a minute, killing one guy, then getting shot by someone I never saw. Then respawning and spending another minute running to do the same thing again.
  • It doesn't ever fill, so I leave.
  • Back on the menu, flip through the server browser directly, find a game that's actually full.
  • Match is a total beatdown for my team, barely get any objectives, no-one seems to be PTFO.
  • Since the match was a beat-down, when the next map loads, the server is a quarter empty, obviously almost entire from my side that got beat-down.
  • Eventually give up because playing like 18 on 31 isn't fun.
Is this how Battlefield has always been? I must have some kind of rose-tinted glasses from the BFBC2 and BF3 era, because this feels like shit. Teams are never balanced, and I'm spending 60% of my time in the game just running to objectives with no one else PTFO.

God damn, for as much fun as Spyro 2 is, the second boss is fucking terrible. Garbage. :tanjiro_disgusted:
Yup. I think there's something wrong with it. I'll just quote myself from the Spyro thread:

Aaand I completed Spyro 2.

They must've screwed up something (it's definitely a bug... or shitty design...) because the bosses are way harder than they used to. It took me a while to understand how to fool the AI in order to get the "perfect" skill point in the second and third boss.

The second boss is basically a glorified aimbot... and the third one probably uses parts of the same code...
Gulp's (and Ripto's) projectiles will ALWAYS hit you if you run. Instead of running around as in the original PS1 game, you need to stand still, then walk and change direction as soon as he starts shooting... no need to dash.

Ripto is a bit odd because his behavior seems to be switching between two modes... slower projectiles that don't predict where you're going to be and projectiles that behave like Gulp's. Honestly I got fed up... and I cheesed him after I unlocked the permanent fireball upgrade.

Nah. Mind you the last BF I played for more than 10 hours was Hardline but from what I see BFBC2, BF3 and BF4 had a feeling that DICE just can't replicate anymore. I can't say I'm able to recognize BFV identity among the likes of Hell Let Loose, Battalion 1944, Post Scriptum. DICE needs to make something regarding this for the next BF.

I had a similar experience in BF1, so I didn't even buy BF5. EA's games aren't for me anymore I guess. Although I'll take a month of Origin Access when Respawns Star Wars game is available on EA's cheapest service.
Better curation is the answer :thumbsupblob:

From what I've read and heard from people playing both BFV and previous BF, BFV has solid gameplay for the series but everything built around it is worse than previous iterations. No custom servers, like some previous entries had, exacerbates the problem, because comparing the quality of a decent custom server to one with 0 considerations is always going to be a bad look. Earlier this week I hopped on to play and it took joining and leaving SEVEN matches to find one that wasn't in a different country, had a healthy population, and no hackers. Considering the join and load times that's over half an hour of just trying to find a good server.

Okay, I'm glad to hear that other people feel the difference too. It's an overdramatic description, but playing BFV last night felt like DICE was gaslighting all my old memories of the franchise and making me wonder if it was never as good as I thought...

Maybe I'll reinstall BF4 to compare.

Blizzard's really on a roll huh

After confirming that the guild name should be back to normal and citing a "careful investigation of your account warning," the unnamed moderator made clear that this kind of automatic takedown may very well happen again: "There isn't a way to stop people from reporting this name, as some find the way the term is used offensive. If you get actioned again, you can appeal like this, and we can look at it once more. For now, though, you have your guild name back!"
Like how about ban the bigots false reporting? What LGBT person would go around reporting very obviously LGBT guilds. THE G LITERALLY MEANS GAY

From outside the guild looking in, it's super easy to read the guild as being the offensive one. I don't doubt some of the reports were from LGBT people, considering how often basically all the words involved are used as slurs.
