That's amusing. It mirrors the 12/88% split of thePoll is closed. 58% voted "NEVER!", 30% voted "No".

Only 12% of the people who replied are true PC Gamers. Everyone else is a hater steam fanboy*That's amusing. It mirrors the 12/88% split of thes.
Not that I have any idea what meaning you could get from that ¯\(ツ)/¯
Isnt Epic on vacations or something like that loloh this is just too good!![]()

In an ideal world, sure.
Guess what'll happen? Pockets will be lined, and we'll be no better off than we were before.
love me some trickle-down economics ... because that absolutely 100% of the time works flawlessly
by which i mean - it NEVER fucking works ... not a single goddamn time has it EVER worked
Fucker just wants a piece of Valve's pie
no, he doesn't want a piece of volvo's pie ... he wants epic to BE volvo ... as in: he wants to be the ONLY store on PC
he said as much himself
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprise if Cliffy leaving and the almost bomb of original Fortnite (that was in development hell too) spooked him to the point he looked over at Gabe and Valve rolling in the money with (appearance-wise) no game development and thought "looks like a sweet deal". I would bet money that ifis successful, Epic won't make another game, at least "tttrrripppplllleeeee a" quality.
If ever he wasn't completely up his own ass on this whole EGS business, he's now clearly so all-in he's got a view of the world partially blocked by his own front teeth.(it's the entire thread)

He's also spewing economic theories that only exist in econ1000 textbooks that exclude actual humans in their hypotheticals because the theories fall apart when you do.
Crazed Cuckoo Capitalist Tweets
It's more of the same, you guys know it. I was just in the mood to take it apart today.
It'll be all Valve's fault, duh.I wonder how he'll be spinning when he sees the shitstorm that's about to happen in TV streaming with broadcasting corps pulling their shows for their own exclusive services.
You can almost imagine the PCGamer editors scrambling around looking for all the shitty hot takes that make non-Epic companies look bad. They'll be running with them for weeks.and in other news: The gamification of gaming has reached new levels of meta weirdness (points for you if you can tell what they're talking about before clicking the link)
Also, no other storefront that tried to force people into using it with exclusivity was successful for non-exclusive games as well. I don't know what he's talking about.
In judging whether a disruptive move like this is reasonable in gaming, I suggest considering two questions: Is the solution proportionate to the problem it addresses, and are gamers likely benefit from the end goal if it’s ultimately achieved?
So I believe this approach passes the test of ultimately benefitting gamers after game storefronts have rebalanced and developers have reinvested more of their fruits of their labor into creation rather than taxation.
For our potential customers' benefit, we're removing choice and forcing them to deal with our company. It's for their own good, even if it goes against their wishes.(it's the entire thread)
You can see it when you look at Epic. Wonder how much of Timmy's money is trickling down to his overworked, exploited employees...If ever he wasn't completely up his own ass on this whole EGS business, he's now clearly so all-in he's got a view of the world partially blocked by his own front teeth.

I never thought a billionaire game developer would seem so fucking naive. Fucking hell. I mean the guy is so completely blind, for example they've completely poisoned the Kickstarter well as so many folks don't trust them or developers to not betray their trust later on. The Shenmue/Phoenix Point debacles have shown this. Brute force just won't work Tim, he talks about 'challenges' well good luck with the challenge of changing people's minds that you're not a complete tit.
The hypocracy has always been there in all his madcap actions and PR going back years. I love how he's setting up a walled garden whilst railing against other walled gardens. lol, jealous of being a little lttp eh? Tinfoil hat time but I wonder what their analysts or strategists have seen on the horizon that has lead to them pushing out EGS far too early?
Fortnite money won't last forever but it's still huge.
Unreal Engine must bring in a ton of revenue.
Then there's pappy Tencent who'll bank roll stuff so Tim doesn't have to use his own pocket-money.
I can't see how Epic are hurting for cash so badly that they have to rush out EGS in the state it's in with the attitude they have. It's curious to me.
They could always, you know gasp, eek!, faints develop more games. Imagine a game developer developing more than one game, let alone using IP they already own for it... What a world we live in.I think they are terrified of investors fleeing the moment profits begin to dip. Once Fortnite's popularity dies off (and it's looking like it's beginning to flag), all Epic has to fall back on is Unreal Engine. And even that isn't as lucrative as it was last generation. Getting into the PC distribution marketplace is their Hail Mary, and if that fails, you better believe the investors are going to drop them like a hot potato.
I'm at the point where I don't feel like buying a new Jazz Jackrabbit or Jill of the Jungle from Epic anymore, even if it comes to Steam day one. That bridge is long burned, pissed on and nuked from orbit. They could always, you know gasp, eek!, faints develop more games. Imagine a game developer developing more than one game, let alone using IP they already own for it... What a world we live in.
Fuck, shopping cart fans at the end got me.glorious
although , Steam logo should be on the sleeping guy next to her

Seems that Tim went from annoying to annoying and sad. I mean, EGS hasn't been directly mentioned by Valve once, has it? I can't help but think that those kinda of tweets is him trying to get some form of attention, even if just a 'yeah tim, we know you have a store now' from Gabe. Can't imagine what Tim will be doing in about two, three months if he doesn't get it by then.
