Interesting. No idea what it could be then for it to be considered AAA.
I find it unlikely that Sports Interactive and Amplitude Studios would be working on something that would be considered AAA, so then the options left would be:
- a game from Relic (though they're also busy with Age of Empires 4, it could be possible I guess?)
- a game that SEGA is publishing from another developer (like how Sumo Digital developed the all stars racing games)
- a new announcement from a JP studio, though usually they would have waited for TGS for something like that
I guess that's all I can think of.

Yea that's what I'd been planning to do, like I said just see if I was missing half the combat or something. I looked at a couple videos and as far as I can see, I'm actually doing things right, the scaling is just fucked. The one normal story mode that I saw (which is what I'm doing) the boss was level 49 vs. my bosses level ~120, and that fight (even though it wasn't like a speedrunner or even let's play) looked way faster. The other one I looked at was the second hardest mode, vs a level 140 boss, and THAT also was faster (he was just doing more damage). So, despite using maps to go hunt down every damage upgrade in the game, the scaling has doomed me to be worse off than the guy that just played through the story without wandering around, I guess. I was even using a damage trick the guy in the 140 level fight wasn't using, although he was way better at not getting hit obviously
I've ranted about it a few times but I was massively disappointed with it. I think there's a half dozen metroidvanias off the top of my head I'd rather replay than do NG+ or another playthrough of Bloodstained. It came really close to the SotN perfect mix but they overdid the crafting / RPG stuff and it ruined it for me (because as I learned later, I was hella unlucky mostly, but also because I didn't want to go grind for 5 hours to make up for that).
Most people seem to like it though so I think that just reinforces my point that there's too much RNG if it's possible for the game in a genre I love that's mirrored after one of my favorite games of all time to be not fun for 10+ hours.

Wanted to update and thank everyone who offered helpful tips last night with my new PC build problems. I cannot thank you all enough for the help.
So the good news is that I got it working! I was finally able to get into BIOS and update it. Since then everything seems fine and I should be able to send those spare parts off to my friend soon.
I have no idea if clearing the CMOS is what helped or if it was pure luck, but whatever it was I'm not complaining!

You know what can make your game stand out? Voice Acting. I'm sure that it's not cheap, but when done right it does "pay off".
I was playing this one game and there is no VA in the game and all of a sudden it gets to this one part and you do hear a character talking. So out of what I have played in that game that was the only time there was VA.

Yep, it was honestly one of the first things I should have done, but by the time I thought about it I was already tired, hungry and had a bunch of cuts on various fingers.

Its basically the official pc gaming thread with steam in the title, so all but anime is allowed.
Wondering if Arma3 is worth the 12CAD for Humble if i dont do multiplayer? 2 was fun but i bounced off it pretty hard after a couple hours.

I think we can discuss almost everything on any platform in this thread. Just yesterday we're discussing Fire Emblem. Having said that, it's also important to be aware that corporate bootlicking "Nintendo/Sony/EGS can't do no wrong" etc. is still frowned upon (it's even in the TOS).
