I really doubt anyone thought that Elshaddai was going to be a huge seller. It's a passion project for nostalgia gamers and "odd game" youtube videos.
It's the kind of game that gets people talking about the company and will get coverage pretty much everywhere.

I wasn't expecting it to be £10 but those prices are super high, i'll probably get it at launch for the discounts. I wouldn't pay the full non-dicount price for it though. I wonder if there's a licensing reason the prices are so high?

Now all it needs is some mods to replace the entirely too smooth blue gradient with something else and the button icons could be more fitting as well and we are in business.
There is this mod to change the blue background to a darker shade of blue (though seems like this one only fully works with FF1, the creator of the mod is still working on 2 and 3), colored icons and buttons icons mods:

Lame! But good to know, thanks :)

Thought of getting Astalon: TotE on Switch, but then I remembered both my joycons are busted, and it's currently on sale on Humble, so I might as well grab in on PC.

I'm sorry for the long tweets but I think they are worth the content giving the current behaviour on regional pricing.
I think it is a case of people making a profit by selling trading cards.

You are guaranteed to sell your cards for at least 4 cents each (there are buy orders for this amount), then you receive 2 cents per card, so the 3 cards will net you at least 6 cents in total, which is the price of the game. Maybe more profit than that could be made in the past.

The reasoning for this is rather simple. 0,06€ in ARG and the game has Steam trading cards so I assume people just try to get the game for "free" technically by selling the cards back in the market.
Beaten by Tomasety! Once the arbitrage is gone, like cards going for 3 cents instead of 5-6 cents, then the sales will stop. If the dev wants to stop the sales faster, he could price the game for 0.09 € instead of 0.06 €.

like the zombie game is selling for 7 ARS ... it , thats like price of a random card ... how is it so supsicious 1k aegiw people would buy it when its bascially profit for anyone who buys it and sell its cards
This.

Even with people abusing the system, 95% of all units coming from Argentina seems utterly absurd.
Maybe a botting system buying cheap games for cards?
Yeah, the numbers are so absurdly large you'd think everyone, everywhere would be at it. Talked about here, Era, RB etc... but it's not.

A couple more games I'm interested in are releasing later today (and even more tomorrow and the day after). Biggest one is of course Lawn Mowing Sim. :hugging-face:

Save your Mundane Job Simulator (tm.) money for Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 instead which drops tomorrow.

The 4-year gap between releases has allowed the dev to blow out the stops with new features, expanded systems and refinements.

Regarding IPs that see iterative sequels, it's legit one of the most impressive leaps I've seen in a long time.

Eh, it's only a cheap SD card short, it's fine. The CPU and GPU requirements bode very well for Steam Deck's status as an Elden Ring portable.

edit: wait, are they fake?

Ohh, I don’t think you have to worry about derExperte not picking up CMS tomorrow lol

Played first one on Amiga back in the day. Too confusing for my young brain. The lack of a manual due to... slightly shady reasons ifyouknowwhatImean probably didn't help.

Bundle with VR (and OST) costs the same as game alone, mistake?

Yepyep. Looking at my wishlist August is too wild (about 40 releases, damn), so I'll actually have to pick and choose. But CMS21 is indeed an almost guaranteed purchase. Because cars.
