Yes, unfortunately it has abysmal performance even though it doesn't even look that good in my experience as well. Sucks, because the game itself is pretty fun.
Yeah, what I played is promising but the game is just abysmal on a technical level. People shouldn't be paying for shit like this.

All these japanese banned VNs have to do with Valve's Campo Santo adquisition time ago. ; ).
And usually banning reviewers are the same two.
The better can japanese devs do is release the game on steam with only japanese language or (even only chinese) and then update the game few months later with other languages.
Chinese only vns with schools assets are overlooked by reviewers.

I hate this so much, I still remember when Valve banned one the first VNs to suffer Campo Santo's review "The Key to home" (Ie no kagi) just because artist was MUK_MonsieuR, a well known hentai artist, even this game has none porn CG frame and it's fierce criticism of child prostitution (quite good and harsh/sad plot).

Playing Minecraft, Rimworld, X3 AP, etc with mods that massively change the gameplay and/or the depth of the progression / crafting.

I am wondering: Are there any games that do that from the start or after an expansion/DLC/Patch
Like, for example, if Xcom had the option to play normally, like it is now, or with an expert mode, that deepens the crafting, variety of tech/weapons, maybe more enemy varients (doesn't even need more enemy types, just enemies that behave differently or with other types of loadouts, etc.)

Only example I can think of from the top of my head is Fallout NV with their hunger mode, but that is pretty rudimentary.

Well, because !
But to develop a little, this is more about a death by a thousand cuts than one main reason.
If I had to choose one anyways, I would say that right now I’m far more interested in a PC upgrade than keeping a dusting up handheld. With the impressive resell ability of these little machines, I don’t lose very much from the purchase and can fund one of the big fronts in my upgrade. Well, more like help fund, but yeah it would go a long way in allowing me to buy a case, a cpu and a cpu fan without taking a big hit on my savings.
The big item left will be the gpu, but I’m torn and as much as I want one naow the new SKUs are rumored to be powerful enough to warrant waiting and trying to buy one (and fail, because scalpers).

Blossom Tales 2 is out now.

I wonder how it will do sales wise.

On one hand there are more Switch systems out there now compared to years ago, but at the same time making a game like that, may not actually sale nearly as well. Even on Era they talk about how it's from that time period of when there where not that many big name first/third party titles and it was just a few indie games.

From what I remember the PC version (Steam only I think) sold less than 20k copies, meanwhile the Switch version managed to sell something like 500k (maybe it was actually 350k), the point being that it sold very well on the Switch. From what I remember at the time after just 1 or 2 sales the devs/pub for the PC version just stopped caring about the PC version and hadn't put it on sale (period for it's last sale to when it was released on Switch).

I am a bit miffed at the Chaos;Heads Noah news, but I already have a copy of the ISO of the Xbox version, and I know the CoZ team is working on PC port ( which seems nearly finished) and a translation, which is making good progress. So either way, I'll get to play it. But it's sad that the entire Science Adventure series won't just be on Steam. It would be really nice for preservation and for better access to the games in the West.

It's been so many months since it was 1 year since KH released on EGS and still no sign of it.

My last hope is that SE will release them on Steam once they fully reveal KH4.
