Control was a 8.5/10 for me but would have been higher if I had had more time with it. (library rental) The weirdness elements were actually slightly tame compared to what I expected as a decade long reader of the SCP Foundation Wiki. My only disappointment of the game was how it had been toned down from its SCP origins and some gameplay frustrations, especially at the end.Okay, just finished Control: High Seas Edition, did not do much exploration, no side missions as I want to do that stuff in the Steam version. Did use a trainer to easier play through the story as that's what I cared about.
It was good, but it was rather a bit underwhelming, honestly, feel like I expected more of it. Can't exactly pinpoint what's the reason for it. Great level design and I really liked the weapon forms. However, despite it had great level design., much of the game had the same type of level design and colors, which made the game somewaht bland halway through. Liked the powers you can use.. The story was in the beginning somewhat confusing, but interesting yet it became rather predictable halfway through and I was dissapointed in how all the mysteries and stuff came to be in the end. I liked how they explained what happened in Alan Wake in the game, nothing on Alan though, his whereabouts remains unknown, it was primarily about what they called the events that happened in Brightfalls, not gonna spoil anything.
I give it a 8/10.
It's better than Quantum Break, but not as good as Alan Wake which is still one of my favorite games of all time.
My interest in Control mainly came from it being a story driven SP game and that it has some connections to Alan Wake. Been waiting for something regarding Alan Wake for years.
Will definetly buy on Steam when it's out. All expansions will be out by then, including the last expansion which apparently has something to do with Alan Wake.
Now that I have completed the story in Control, I can finally say that I can remain in peace with EGS exclusives, as in, Control was my most wanted EGS exclusive, many other Im interested in too, like Outer Wilds, What The Golf, Blands 3 and Satisfactory, but those are way easier to wait on to release on Steam than Control. Control was the only EGS exclusive I simply could not just forget about existing, I just kept thinking about it.
Volunteer community moderators? Come on. I know many companies do that but I hoped Valve was better in that sense. Pay your fucking full-time moderators (and translators, since Steam localization is also done by volunteer community members) and stop parasitizing on people's goodwill and sense of accomplishment only because they do work for free for a billion dollar company they like.Valve could've done more, only 34 moderators for 3.6 million active users is frankly ridiculous.
(Oh yeah, let us remind you, and we will give you these rad emotes :tga_drop: :tga_trophy: for helping us test this new feature)
Should I just return it then since I think I will find that annoying.I have the same free scroll issue on my G502 (which is not an SE version). It was that way out of the box.
Dunno about the RGB stuff. Never really touched that outside of color-coding profiles.
G403Does anyone know what other USB Logitech mice that have the LighySync option are looked upon as favorable?
I would assume Steam integration would still work if Steam itself was run as admin? That part not working kinda makes sense, but seems like the DRM should check pre-launch.ive noticed something recently,
both ashen and devils hunt and a few other unreal engine 4 games if you run them as admin it completey bypass steam drm and steam integration (achievements etc) and the game still launches fine.
lol
Do they actually use steamworks drm?ive noticed something recently,

the point im making is, ive brought ashen devils hunt and few other games on steam, launch without running game as admin, steam works and friends achievements time tracked all works.Do they actually use steamworks drm?
And I was saying what you're describing sounds like the game running as designed when not launched through steam. If it doesn't have baked in Steamwork DRM, Steam won't care if the game launches without it, you just lose all the steamworks features. That this loophole exists is only a problem for the same scenario you described, which I have to imagine is rare and I doubt there are many accounts doing this before someone catches on.the point im making is, ive brought ashen devils hunt and few other games on steam, launch without running game as admin, steam works and friends achievements time tracked all works.
launch the game as admin none of that is working but game works fine.
effectively i could refund the game through steam now and still play fine.
or even finish the game and then refund because running as admin the game time and stuff isnt tracked
This kind of hypocrisy makes me laugh every time. I'm looking at the comments on their HL:A article and everyone's like "Yeah it should totally release here" and the Ghost article everyone's calling PC users port beggarsOkay people are very strange. Pushsquare or what ever it's called is really weird. I see some articles about "why Half Life Alyx should come to PSVR" and stuff like that and people say ya it should come to PSVR and then you see stuff like them making fun of some people on PC wanting the Ghost of T (The Sucker Punch game). Double standards I tell you.
Oh and Pushsquare even reached out to a Valve employee to ask about the possibility of the game on PSVR.
I mean, is it the same people? I know some people have that level of hypocrisy but mostly I expect it's just different ones. This kind of hypocrisy makes me laugh every time. lashman's LiS2 push is starting to have a reverse effect on me, little by little.
I call it the Undertale effect.
You're right, I shouldn't generalize like that, but I have seen some people think both ways.I mean, is it the same people? I know some people have that level of hypocrisy but mostly I expect it's just different ones.
Wouldn't surprise me, A Plague Tale is part of Origin Premier, Control is clearly coming to XBOX Gamepass at least and RE3 is coming soon, get people interested.
From reddit. I hope this is real.
Good thing I bought it centuries ago. Need to give TLR another go, sometimes it feels too generic for my liking. The Last Remnant Remastered now available for smartphones
Square Enix has released The Last Remnant Remastered is now available for iOS via the App Store and Android via Google Play for $19.99.gematsu.com
PC died for this.
There is nothing generic about the gameplay though.Good thing I bought it centuries ago. Need to give TLR another go, sometimes it feels too generic for my liking.
Yeah, the gameplay is one of a kind (if slow), but everything else seems like a hodge podge of different SE games, the towns look like somerthing scratched from FFXII with similar races populating it, and story is whatever. It has its charm tho. There is nothing generic about the gameplay though.
Honestly, I am fine with never seeing The Last Remnant on PC again. Rarely seen a game where I grew to hate the protagonist with such a passion. The Last Remnant Remastered now available for smartphones

Had the same impression overall .. From the trailers I've always pictured the game taking place in a periodically changing environment, or something you'd have a hand over since apparenty the building has its own consciousness and it just didn't feel anything particularly unique / special outside of the premise and AhtiOkay, just finished Control: High Seas Edition, did not do much exploration, no side missions as I want to do that stuff in the Steam version. Well it's like Hexen (Amid Evil) vs. Duke Nukem (Ion Fury) styleBetween Amid Evil and Ion Fury what would be a bigger bang for a buck? As far as retro shooters go I'm more of HL, Unreal, Undying guy than Blood guy.
Then I guess Ion Fury has an advantage. Amid Evil would have to wait.Well it's like Hexen (Amid Evil) vs. Duke Nukem (Ion Fury) style
Ion Fury for sure but the devs are utter trash beingsBetween Amid Evil and Ion Fury what would be a bigger bang for a buck? As far as retro shooters go I'm more of HL, Unreal, Undying guy than Blood guy.
Oh, didn't know that, but now that you mentioned it I vaguely remember threads on the other site, guess I have to dig them up.Ion Fury for sure but the devs are utter trash beings
Gonna do an old Doom engine playthrough of just about everything I can think of, also need to buy Quake II
That's neat. Maybe it drops today during Keighleys.REmake 2 Achievement Image Suggests MAJOR DLC - Rely on Horror
More than just a letter? Maybe, considering we just discovered that the Xbox One image for that new REmake 2 achievement reveals more than we thought!www.relyonhorror.com
oh shit the 4chan leak!
Which one of you weirdos did this?Unrelated to the rest of the thread, there is a new paper by Nvidia to generate portraits of fake people.
I remember someone did it on anime images, I don't remember how.
It's my most played game on Steam, the amount of content is incredible!New Total Warhammer 2 DLC rolling out today:
Adds two new sub factions and a couple new units for Dark Elves and Skaven (evil rats).
- Malus Darkblade has to balance his demonic possession while looking for a cure.
- Snikch is the Skaven Masterassassin and leader of Skaven Clan Echin. It is said that he can bring down entire nations with a simple snap and a command towards his assassins. But that would be Heresy (Note: He can).
They are going to release a mayor patch alongside the DLC called "potion of speed". In addition to balance changes it will add improved AI routines that should significantly improve turn time. TW2 never left my disc since release and changed a lot since then. Hard to recognize it tbh, maybe not the best game ever, but incredibly addictive and every faction plays completely different. Even sub-factions can be different. The amount of content here is mind blowing,
