I was expecting DF to make a video about it at least or something (maybe tomorrow?)

I'm guessing that the only difference will be higher FPS and that's it?

I'm hearing that the Detroit port is god-awful on Reddit. Not that it matters, the game itself was bunk to begin with...

Well I am sure that all they have to do is reach out to Epic will more than be happy with helping, after all they don't want low quality stuff on their store with no user reviews to see if the port is bad or not.

I don't think that ever happened before. Can't even prepare one new voiceline in the trailer?
I watched the trailer again and yeah my bad
Seth has the same va from sf4. I wouldve preferred a mix of male and female tbh.

People often talk about regional pricing and pricing in general... and I just remembered that I had to shell out 129 CHF for quite a few first-party N64 games (DK64 and Conker's BFD come to mind).... adjusting for inflation, that'd be 145 CHF (FYI: 1 CHF ~= 1 USD).

That's crazy.

Nowadays I'd hardly consider anything above 30.- (unless it's something I'm unreasonably excited about... for example, I'd gladly pay 100 CHF for a new Viva Pinata on Steam).

Remember that Chinese game that was a mix between WWZ, Division, BR, Anthem and a few more things? it was made by NEXT and it was about the capabilities of 5G or something like that, well, it's on Steam (the page), the problem is that it's region locked for China.

ARK · SYNCED:Off-Planet / 重生边缘 · AppID: 1008080
Region locking it seems strange when, according to their Steam page (via SteamDB) they offer their game in over 20 languages, and dubbing in both Chinese and English. Didn't know there was such a multi-lingual audience in mainland China. EFIGS, Russian, Polish, Arabic, and even both kinds of Spanish.

One thing I read is particularly amusing -- apparently the game spends ~15 minutes on first startup compiling shaders.
... Steam actually has a feature to fix exactly that (Steam Shader Pre-caching). And it's not even a feature anyone has ever brought up (I think).

The game should consider itself lucky that Disco didn't release last year, just saying.
Last year, we had Pillars of Eternity 2, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Vampyr, Octopath Traveler, Ni No Kuni II and Monster Hunter World if you consider it RPG.

That award is just completely ridiculous.

I always thought that it was pretty ridiculous that Dragon Age 2 won over the likes of Witcher 2 or Deus Ex HR in its year on several sites.
Detroit winning "RPG of the Year" in a year as stacked as 2018 is far more stupid though.

The fact that a game that is not a RPG (Detroit) won this award is even more stupid, imho.

They probably checked everything.

Don't tell Valve, but package isn't region locked, could be possible to add when it releases.

By the way do the choices change that much in the game?
Quite a bit, though often enough it'll still mean things generally get back to a set point before diverging again. As you get closer to the end is where you generally start seeing much bigger swings with individual main characters able to be killed and some variety in the ending they receive.

One thing the game does quite well is after every chapter you can see the entire decision tree for the chapter and there's simply a ton of possible things to see and do in a chapter based on all the different branches. But essentially the game will always bring you back to the main path but the way you get there can be quite different (skimming online one example details in one chapter the character can hide out in a home and meet a homeless android, which was what I saw, or you can take a car and lead police on a high speed chase). In the end that character will get back on the main path so their next chapter continues on but often it'll change small things as you progress or it'll add up points towards different outcomes and how characters interact.

I tend to enjoy all David Cage games going into them knowing there'll be issues with the writing, pacing, and other factors. But I still find that extremely engaging and I always want to see what happens next. If you don't go into Detroit looking to find things to complain about you'll probably have a decent time. And then rightly come online to complain about how Cage poorly handles the sensitive topics that he always feels the need to include in his games.

Takes couple of minutes even on my lousy gtx 970.
But yeah, optimization is not very good in demo version, will wait for Steam release :blobthief:
just use a trainer :p
But he can't skip lame puzzles or pretentious story though :shrugblob:

I got an email from them about the offer, it's just valid today.:D Just check your mail if you have anything from them.

just use a trainer :p
I'll soldier on and search for a trainer later if it becomes an issues.:D Block+heavy attack seems the best way to do it now. And yeah if I die I just quickly exit to main menu haha.

Now that the decade is essentially over, that review from PC Gamer becomes even more ludicrous:
Rich McCormic said:
Dragon Age 2 is not what you expect. Hell, even during preview sessions, I hadn't anticipated it being this much of a traditional sequel. But by locking down the context – the world and the politics – BioWare were free to fill their creation with more character and vitality than any title in recent memory. The best RPG of this decade? Nine more years will tell, but for now, yes.
Aged like fine milk.

While Hitman 2 was voted Metacouncil's 2018 game of the year, many people are no longer playing the game, and didn't try the 2 new maps from the Expansion Pass.

Since we are approaching a time where both the game and expansion pass will probably be heavily discounted, I just wanted to, once again, highly recommend the game, and suggest that those who own the game, and didn't play the new locations, do so.
Both maps are really cool, and very different.

I only played the second one, Haven Island, yesterday, since I haven't had much time to play anything recently, and it was a lot of fun.
It's a very open map, an island resort, with plenty of opportunities and ways to approach your 3 targets.

And, a reminder that this month there's plenty of new content and events going on in the game.

The combat in Hellblade, can one skip it somehow, any patches? I rather just have a moody walking sim.
Glad to see I'm not the only one disliking the combat. Or the game in general. While I've enjoyed some of the puzzles in the first part of the game, it was sad to see that they are being repeated throughout the rest of the game.

The environments, lightning and facial expressions are incredible tho.

I like hellblade's combat, at least the concept of it, it just lacked depth, but it's probably the only thing I like about that game outside of the visual, those puzzles were horrible, hopefully they improve the combat next game.

So I have not been iding for cards for 1-2 years or so due to both Idle Master Extended and Archi Farm or whatever it's called not working, I only have gotten random card drops and cards when actually playing the game.

So today I was using another wifi than my home network and I randomly checked on Idle Master Extended on my laptop and it suddenly starts working apparently.

I have over 550 cards to idle.

There's a lot of money to get, but...I have to sell over 550 cards, as long as IME is working.

The best difficulty ever would be if Nintendo worked with FROM to make Dark Souls. Imagine how great a "Nintendo Hard Dark Souls" would be and how much respect and admiration you'd get from everyone also how satisfied you'd feel from beating the CHALLENGE!

Games aren't supposed to be FUN or an escape from day-to-day drudgery they're supposed to be HARD like life is! Grrrrrrrrrrrr!

I never idled cards.
So, pardon my ignorance, but is there any (safe) application what allows me to quickly farm cards without needing to have Steam installed?
Also, does that software allow me to quickly sell huge amounts of cards quickly?

thanks :)

yes and yes

well, you do have to have steam installed ... but you don't have to install all the games you want to idle

and to mass-sell card you need a user script that helps with that

but yes, all of that is possible
