I don't necessarily agree that it's always true, but I can certainly agree about good people either being twisted or not making it in most cases.but that's precisely HOW you climb the ladder ... good people just don't do this ... that's how capitalism is constructed
also - it doesn't matter what the people at the top want ... they all have to answer to shareholders and their sole responsibility is to make as much money as possible, no matter what
