I rented Midnight Suns on Xbox, but decided I'd rather play it on Steam Deck. I'm waiting for the Steam complete edition to be about $30, which probably won't take too long if it sold that poorly.

Yeah, I miss AA games
I think the problem is most publishers wouldn't want to charge less than full $70 for a smaller budget AA game and if you charge $70 customers are going to compare your game to AAA $70 game.

I would like seeing smaller AA games. Star Wars Squadrons was a great little AA experiment and it seems to have worked out for EA.

Looks like they kept the same exact animation system in the game which is unfortunate as it was very janky and uneven. When platforming it's not a huge deal it just looks weird and a bit "off", but in combat I had a rough time in the first game because of how unsmooth it was. It never felt fun or satisfying I constantly felt like I was fighting the janky animation system to learn attack patterns and parries.

Lol @ 5:28 and the combat bits right after, those weird monsters only have decapitation coded or something & it just looks so wrong to have all of them end so...

You are making a lightsaber game and can't devote some time in proper piece cutting like something like Wii Sports Resort's sword mini games had? Come on.

Pathfinder has a Season Pass 2?!?!
Is this a first ever? What's the point of the season pass?

Didn't see anyone post it here. A new CGI Resident Evil movie is coming this summer. Leon, Chris, Jill, and Rebecca are in. I liked previous 3 CGI movies so I'm looking forward to it.

Yeah based on Twitch views Hogwarts will be ginormous release. I doubt that Jedi Survivor will sell better. So far from announced games only CoD has that chance.

The live action RE movies are terrible but the CG movies really aren't much better. At least they're bringing Jill back for this one.

For the first time since I can remember, most of my PC gaming isn't on steam. Currently playing Wasteland 2 and replaying TW3 on GOG. After I finish Wasteland 2 I'm tackling Shadowrun Hong Kong. I got both for free at some point in the distant past and decided to finally play them while I wait for RE4.

There's a few games out there that have tried a season pass 2 that I can remember seeing, but I think it's the first time a RPG/CRPG has done it.

To be honest pathfinder DLC has historically been uhh...not great, in both games. So the announcement that we're getting more didn't really inspire a ton of confidence especially with most of the studio working on the warhammer game now.

I couldn't even finish the base WotR, it was a good game but it was just too long and I got tired of it. I can't imagine even more of it.

That's one of the better months in recent memory for me.
I absolutely want Pathfinder 2, even if I have no idea when I will find the time to play it. It's a game I've almost bought a few times already. Same goes for Othercide, that has been on my wishlist for a while. I might also want to check out Thronebreaker. And though I had never heard of Shady Part of Me before, it looks like it might be a nice Deck game.

I will throw out there that if you liked fallout 3 or fallout 4 you will probably like fallout 76.

It is nothing like it was at launch. It has fully voiced NPCs and an entire questline/storyline that is doable solo and base building (You can completely ignore it if you want or just make a 1x1 with random shit

It really isn't horrible, It's got some random multiplayer shit thrown into it because yeah it's a multiplayer game so there's events etc but they literally removed a PVP battle royale style zone from the game because no one was using it since the people actually continually playing the game was so adverse to PVPing and just helped each other out. It doesn't mean there's not like dick heads but its an online game.

I've been playing it recently again with my friend and it was fun, but I bought the game at launch so maybe im just stupid.

I think most of the major issues were fixed, though the Switch version was the one most affected.

Personally I'm planning on using a few mods though, if they work with the Steam version that is:
  • Improved lighting - I don't like the remaster's lighting and the excessive bloom, hopefully this mod will be an improvement overall.
  • Sonic model and animation fixes - mostly fixes and/or adds animations at the start of stages, the remaster is missing animations that the wii version had.
  • Remix swap - the remaster includes both remixed music and the original wii music, and each zone has 6 stages and 3 themes, this mod makes it so the initial stages of each zones have the original themes while the later stages have the remixed themes.
Same for bosses, other than the final zone/boss, there's 6 bosses and 3 boss themes, this mod makes it so the initial bosses use the original tracks and the later bosses use the remixed tracks.
  • Gameplay & UI Fixes - misc gameplay and UI fixes, and it restores the original game's lives system instead of the Tails rescue system from the remaster, though this could be the most likely mod to not work in the Steam version?

Oh, yeah, Sonic Colors has a pretty greedy DLC, while the deluxe edition is not much more expensive than the base game, it's still a pretty bad practice, pretty much SEGA cut the remixes from one of the zones and made these a DLC/part of the deluxe edition (Planet Wisp remixes)...
Got the game, the mods do work, but the game has... shader compilation stutters. ._.

Comparison pics, before and after mods:

They're not using the hedgehog engine for this? Because Sonic Frontiers has none. I'll wait for 50% sale or more then.
The original Wii game used the hedgehog engine, but the remaster was outsourced to Blind Squirrel (studio that handled the Mass Effect remasters). Apparently the remaster is using a fork of the Godot engine to handle the graphics (which they named Blind Squirrel engine), while the rest is handled by the game's original code or something like that?

Randomly found this tweet... oof... (about Sonic Colors Ultimate)

Anybody playing FFXIV with Gshade, delete that shit ASAP. Dev is turned out to be a total cunt and has essentially stooped to placing malware on your machine to execute remote shutdowns.

There is a guide out there to convert from Gshade to ReShade proper, let me know if you need help and I'll do my best!!
