Smash salt on twitter is making this slow work day go by a bit faster. I'm pretty disappointed there is only one new remix though. 3H's has such a fantastic OST that would've been prime for some amazing mixes.

Aside from that, the new trailer for the new 3H DLC looks fantastic and is out much sooner than I thought. I'm super excited to dive back into one of my favorite games in years for a 4th playthrough now.

While I commend MS' efforts, I would like to meddle as little as possible with the Windows Store and any games offered through it. So far that's been holding strong as I've hardly gotten anything from there.

I was just browsing the news about it.
Can you explain this shit to someone who hasn't played :
How many routes are there ? I think it's three ?
Is this a new route ? If this is not, should I do two routes and leave the last for this ?

Basically I'm not clear on the game structure, and this is not helping.

There's 3 routes you decide on in the very beginning, but one of them splits into two different branches. I'll leave the rest vague for spoiler purposes

We're unsure atm if it's a whole new route or a side story that's added into the game and accessible through any of the existing routes. They did call it a "side story" iirc, but for example, you can see both Edelgard and Hilda recruited on the same team which was literally impossible before in any of the routes (and may still be as it could just have been made for trailer purposes). Another example is that the trailer uses different colored borders for the dialogue boxes as each route has it's own colored border for the box.

People are coming up with their own theories, but if you're really that worried you could just wait since it's only about a month away.

While looking for an Era thread on google I found out that gaf has a thread specifically to talk about Era. This was the first time I browsed gaf since leaving it along with many other regular steamgaf posters, before era was created. That thread is insane. Just the fact that they feel the need to have a thread specifically to shit on era is pretty telling.
Tons of people saying that they want Trump to get reelected just to see the meltdowns there... They're even comparing stats between both forums (number of users, posts, etc) in the hopes that era shows any signs of crashing and burning. I genuinely pitty these people.

Yeah. I think from what ive read that they work by allowing you to re-map rather than be new extra buttons (but im not sure). Im hoping Steam will recognise them as new buttons. I guess then it will allow me to fiddle about with the controller configuratior.

P2 is long existing proof that you can make an RPG that's less than 50 hours while still having an exceptionally strong cast of characters. And also that making the game longer and giving characters more dialogue doesn't necessarily make them better.

Persona 3 and 4 took me 40 hours, Persona 5 took me 110 and god I wish it didn't.

With all the promotions going on i got 6 months of gamepass for 1€ (+ giving ms my payment details) and i barely use it. If i'm really into a game i'd rather wait for a sale later on where i get a version i can use reshade with (and mod where that matters) and for just demoing the games i don't bother because i'm too lazy/annoyed by having to clean up after them (even if it's just a couple console/ps commands).

Well since Ampere will probably be out by then, guess i'll have to upgrade my 2080ti with the 3080ti for Cyberpunk. Unless the ti launch is later down the line.

I stopped buying their games altogether. Period.

High prices, for poor ports (frequently lacking content, or graphical effects available on consoles), and on top of that an appalling DLC policy (with ridiculous amounts of DLCs, for ridiculous prices, + pre-order or early purchase exclusive content, season pass exclusive content, ...).

No, thank you.
Especially not when there's so many alternatives around, from companies that don't see their customers as purely "whales", ready to be nickel and dimed in every release they put out.

Interesting, $49.99USD/$64.99 CAD on console, but only $39.99USD/$49.99 CAD on PC. Definitely not complaining though. Canadian regional pricing is worse than their other titles though so that sucks.

Unfortunately it's kinda pricey.

Leaning getting removed was a big one PC peeps rightfully complained about. An artform we almost completely lost during those dark times. Still FEAR2 is good and fun imo, the series only really went into the crapper with 3.

Also speaking of mayo, one thing I'm realizing from these gifs is that I'm not using anything remotely like enough heat sink goop for my CPUs. Because this is just ... more. If you want serious sub-zero degree performance, you've gotta use it all, plus more.

Im gonna laugh if Google will pay the Stadia timed exclusives to be delayed for consoles, but will release day 1 with the PC version. Happened with Darksiders Genesis.

And I can't wait for all the "competition!" posts online.

Playing with kb/m will improve the combat a loooooooooooooooooooooooooot better. I can't stand playing with controller for this game.

I believe it's extremely unlikely that Horizon won't be money hatted by Epic IF it ever comes to pc in the first place. But we got Halo MCC on Steam, so anything can happen 😉
