Era is pretty dumb, I was looking at the comments and some of them were talking about how the comments on Gematsu were creepy.... The hell if any one is creepy it's Era. Era tries to pass off certain things even though it is as likely guilty of what they are accusing others of, aka Hippocrits.

They just live to year down on other people and place themselves on a high pedestal.

Or are they only saying that stuff on era since the mods will "protect them"
I'm not sure if the things is shown or not but I was told to put it under "hide" and for some reason it won't let me edit on mobile.

To be honest, Gematsu comments are a cesspool.
As much as I have never seen Sal Romano and the mods be terrible people on their site or elsewhere, a lot of comments are Gamergate powered, especially concerning their weeb tendencies. Anything that "censors" or may threaten their otaku games with lolis in panties get theirs in a bunch. A few of the people there would not last long on Era, and certainly not here either.
The open forum threads are fucking awful, with mountains of "totes not porn because it's cropped lol" and assorted dubious twitter links.
And that's without even talking about their console wars which would be at home on Gamefaqs circa 2007.

Gematsu is the best for weeb news, but it's damn hard to have a decent conversation with a worrying amount of participants over there.
I started Children of Morta, it's nice. But as much as the RPG/rogue-like systems are well integrated to one another (a first I think, usually it's just pretext to grind until you reach X number), it does feel repetitive.
In large part because there are few enemy types. Bats are damn boring.
Cool game, but might drag on a bit...

If anyone is interested in some puzzle games, the Draknek & Co games are really cheap on Humble (especially with the monthly discount). They come out to a little over a dollar a piece.

Ok, so, thanks to Parsnip and his idea, I made our trend line in terms of development of our little community when it comes to this threads and looks like we are doing good, don't you think?

What happened in July? Why such a huge decrease from previous month? Vacation time?

At this point just look up SFM vids like everyone else does.

$90 for digital clothes 🤣
That's $1.8 per costume. Cheaper than actual physical clothes :p

I played it over a couple days last week and got really bored. It was a grind, then it had some decent pace for a bit, then it got a grind again. I ended up putting it down and then honestly completely forgot about it until I saw you post about it.
I think it could have helped if there was multiple paths to take at the same time. Going through the same level, randomised though they are, toward the same boss over and over got me down.

The only Dead or Alive that you need to play is Venus Vacation.
:Merkel:
The only one i've played is Xtreme Beach Volleyball 3, best PS4 exclusive, straight up.
Wish i could try VV but the Workaround never worked for me

It's growing slowly. The devs are changing their soundtracks dlcs to proper soundtracks :)

It was three soundtracks when Steam added soundtracks
Oh nice, that's a much better solution than what it used to be

What's he doing to update it from his last game other than going for blue instead of orange?

What exactly does it mean when I get "Query account by CD key" email?

This is an automated message generated by Steam account administration. It is being sent in response to a query made by a Steam user to discover all account names associated with this CD key.

It's pretty telling that this f2p volleyball waifu game feels less cash grab than the mainline DOA. In Venus Vacation, you have a chance to unlock girls and get most of the outfits for free, and if you don't want to get literally every single costume for every girl, then it's realistic to save up enough v-stones on them just by clearing weekly events and missions. Extensive DLCs is the reason why I'm not going to bother with DOA6, and honestly, all those fighting games should stop with that multiple seasons passes nonsense.

While indeed the style is similar to his previous dungeon crawler (his last game was actually a simple maze game), which kind of makes sense, since the game is basically a spin-off from Das Geisterschiff / The Ghost Ship, changing the colour is surely not all he did:

I get that the style may not appeal to everyone, but personally, I find the combination of wireframe graphics, with his minimalistic (kick-ass) soundtracks very appealing.

In other news, this FMV title is finally available in Early Access:

Dead or Alive is the closest one can get to playing a Virtua Fighter like experience from what I've gathered.
At least until Virtua Fighter 5 is actuall released on Steam :V

Is it RPG like Inazuma Eleven to have a story like the manga/anime or just soccer with very rudimentary story stuff?

For those following Half-Life: Alyx, an event notification went out earlier stating that the whole Half-Life series was free to play until Half-Life Alyx is released:

It got deleted instantly, so I'm thinking the announcement might come later today. Maybe with news about HL: A.

It was a genuine question, the style is pretty sweet and appealing in both.
I find so as well. :)

It's obviously also a limitation of being a single person doing everything, including the soundtrack.

Speaking of soundtracks, there's a free 4 track soundtrack "teaser" available to download on bandcamp:

Sadly, it doesn't include the trailer track, which I quite like.

He is also doing the soundtrack for the upcoming game SKALD:

Here's a few free tracks from the demo backers received:

One last note, since I'm talking about the developer's soundtrack work: while not advertised, for those who own Das Geisterschiff / The Ghost Ship on Steam there's a free soundtrack sampler included. Check the download folder, it has 8 tracks (7 from the soundtrack, and an unreleased track that was planned, but dropped, from the next game). On top of that, there's some free remixes available as a free DLC (which, I assume now with the recent changes done to soundtracks, everyone should be able to download):
