Much to my surprise I really enjoyed Ar No Surge back on the PS3, gonna be nice having it on steam along with Ciel.

Not very helpful.

Edit: It must be this: Origin: EA Play

How many cards can be farmed for that price? :moneyrat:
I don't think Steam sub includes all games listed on that barter.vg link. On EA website they have many less games listed on it.

It seems the sub contains a total of 44 48 games?

Reason: EA official link doesn't match Steam store games list

Looks like that deal is available through March 9th, which is nice. I have a few other games "scheduled" to get through, so I can wait a while before biting on that deal. Fallen Order is available through that, which I've been pretty interested in, so I may try to squeeze that in March sometime

I could not think of a truly bad game I played this last year.

There were two game returns and one game I wish I returned, but they were not bad, bad just had some issues.

  • Extended storyline with a prolonged ending, hundreds of lines of additional dialogue, and multiple new areas to explore.
  • Several new major puzzle chains along with many small additions and tweaks of existing puzzles.
  • Enlarged game environments to fill up the entire screen without any black bars on the sides.
  • Countless visual improvements, such as more character animations, better lighting/shadows and extra weather effects.
  • Streamlined mouse controls with an intuitive single click interface.
  • Controller support done right. Lean back in your chair and take smooth direct control of Kathy, with no messy cursor getting in the way.
  • Expanded and remixed soundtrack by the original composer, Daniel Kobylarz.
  • Five brand new motorcycle designs to unlock and customize the Katmobile with.

I have to say, in an industry rife with PBR, with procedurally-generated planets and ray-traced everything, I'm a little stunned at how dense and good-looking WoW's new-ish areas are. It used to be that this game had the most absurd scale to its world, country roads feeling as wide like LA's 6-lanes highways. Not anymore. The density is honestly a little stunning, all of it with a forward renderer that's just doing the good old stencil-based, perfect reflections of all this like it's no-one's business.

Not bad for a nearly 20 years-old game.

Between 2005 and 2008 I worked on Project Revolver.
Beginning its life as a sequel to Jade Empire, Revolver evolved and changed course many times throughout its development.
It was recently revealed in more detail in the book "Bioware: Stories and Secrets from 25 Years of Game Development".
To celebrate, I sifted through the archives and blew 15 years of dust off some of my favorite pieces from that project.

yup, WOW has been pretty good with environments ...for a long while already, really. and they kept updating their engine pretty much all the time. they do have raytracing support in now, too.
