At this point me waiting for GoT is like everyone else waiting for Bloodborne.

I'm surprised they didn't push the game back at least a couple of weeks. That's probably when a lot of people will start to run out of things to do in Palworld.

It's very funny, Xbros hold on to dear life to whatever resembling exclusivity, and PS bros shit on anything not on PS as if it that thing isn't deserving of PS Game (tm) status.
And Nintendo bros are claiming it rips off Pokemon while in the same breath denying that it is in any way or form the same as Pokemon, or that Pokemon fans would abandon the "real" Pokemon for this.

Personally, I really hope we get TLoU Part II and God of War Ragnarok this year. Getting those two on top of Horizon Forbidden West would make this year pretty great for me, as far as Sony ports go. Until Dawn would be icing on the cake. And I'd be down for the Team ICO games for sure.
I'd say they can keep Gravity Rush but if there's really a movie coming then that probably increases the likelihood of a remaster/port.
Almost done with 100% Yakuza 3, a pretty painful experience overall due to the semi-broken minigames. At least the main campaign is relatively short so Legend playthrough won't take too long.

It can be simple. In Elden Ring, for instance, it suffices to overwrite start_protected_game.exe with eldenring.exe, and it doesn't protest too much. No EAC -> no MP.
This can even be done (without in any way touching installed files) in a command line in Steam's launch options:

Different games may have different implementations / behaviours. That's the only one I have with EAC.

Finished Ryse Son of Rome. The game is pretty short. Gotta say, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Runs really well on the Deck.

The Eurogamer rant article on Palworld is even more absurd when you watch this video from their YouTube channel, which is a lot more positive. But given the bio/info from the authors profile(s), its maybe less surprising; but still very weird and oddly childish.
My main standout sentence when I glanced over the article was: "Much of the grumpiness around Palworld so far - and admittedly, a not-insignificant portion of mine - comes from its success. "

since the devs of palworld are posting the sales daily and we know it's at 7 mil (I guess more now) I'm gonna point out how fucking deranged steamspy estimations are

It's pretty normal that different people will have different opinions, and I kinda respect Tapsell for openly admitting that they are probably biased and grumpy about how a supposed Pokemon clone is making so much money. It reflects quite accurately how a very, very vocal minority feels about this game and as such I find it useful. None of his criticisms are per se wrong. It is merely survival/crafting game, without much of a story (yet!) and if you love Pokemon it will probably not fully live up to the comparison with the old games (yet!) as story was always a big part of the draw.
Of course it also ignores that just base building, catching more pets and levelling up is also really fun, and a big part of what makes Pokemon and games like it before so engaging. Deep down, Tapsell probably understands this and doesn't want to admit that his favorite franchise has been a bit stagnating and that the appeal of Palworld isn't simply "stealing" design ideas of the pets, but also simply presenting familiar mechanics in a fresh overall package. Something that The Pokemon Company really refuses to do much (Arceus was really the closest they came in three decades).

I understand your point but personally I can't find even a little bit of respect for someone who is so blinded by his fanatical devotion to a virtual pet game from a specific company that he can't do his actual job and assess a different game fairly and objectively.
Mivey Story was a big part of the draw for older Pokemon ? I would object at first glance. There is a world, some very limited lore, but I don’t see any semblance of story in most of the early episodes I played. There was a remake whose title I forgot with some nice beats, but if we are talking older episodes, before Platinum, maybe even included, story is non existent.
