Alright, so after having finished the Zero Escape Trilogy, which incidentally were completed games #50, 51 and 52, next up I'll be working on Treasure Adventure World and World of Final Fantasy proper.
What's your take on ZTD (spoilerfree), does it compare well to 999 and VLR? I generally already felt that VLR was less cohesive and interesting, though it certainly had far more sheer content and more paths a lot of them felt really repetitive and it just takes to long to get to the really interesting bits. The characters are also less interesting, and it lacks the mystery of 999, opting more for shock value (which isn't to say that 999 didn't have any "shocking" moments, I just feel it had a better ratio of "interesting ideas" to "slasher horror".

questions for those that have tried the gamepass on PC. is there a setting that will have achievements pop up to know when you unlocked one?
Which game? Wolfesntein II had achievement notifications enabled by default.

I've written my thoughts on them here: Community - The Visual Novel Council | All Choices Lead To Here

ZTD is still an entertaining experience but goes even farther than VLR with the "shock value" approach and twists for twists sake that feel pretty bullshit.
I agree that 999 is the the best overall package out of the 3 games.

Can't you recreate the old email?
Would assume it's taken since it's like 10 years now, and it was really common. "Death_****" with year of birth at the back, made it during the edgy years and stuck with it for pretty long.
Looking back now, probably should have kept it but oh well, only game the account has is Lost Planet Extreme Condition so not much lost, just sentimental value.

Same thing with me, had an older Steam account (by like 2 years) for when Portal 1 was given away for free (not sure when, sometime around 2010 or 2011 ?), and I lost access to the email account, something on Yahoo.
I didn't really care about digital gaming back then, it wasn't until Humble Bundle V or IV that I decided to actually build up a library on Steam and then started to regularly use it.

I remember from the finale of The Last Wish, that Geralt figures out/guesses that Yennefer was once a hunchback, due to the slightly unnatural stance she had (presumably something like muscle memory, and even then it took even a Witcher long to really notice it, and it felt more like guesswork on his part) and I'm sure that there isn't a single witch in the books that actually uses illusion magic to permanently alter their appearance (while they can appear like different people altogether, that would take quite a bit of energy to maintain for extended periods of time, from my understanding. And it wouldn't fool other witches, not unless it's a very high level spell, which would be even harder to maintain and there aren't that many people that can pull those off to begin with)
touche. I'm working through lady of the lake, so I don't remember a lot of the last wish anymore. thank you for correcting that

was playing the messenger. so i guess it depends on the game if they are enabled huh?
I think Durante ran into the same problem (Well I did too but I didn't bother with trying to "fix" it).
Iirc you need to turn off "Focus assist" in the notification center options. (Click the speech bubble symbol in the task bar -> click expand to see all the options -> disable the moon symobol (focus assist).

Otherwise the achievements only pop silently in the background.

The elf sorceress (Francesca IIRC) didn't need to use illusion magic.

I’m experiencing some strain in my right wrist and hand and I’ve been using the mouse with my left for a while so I can only play slow games. Wolfenstein is out next week and I feel bad. Won’t risk it and I’ll wait for my hand to heal but it sure sucks. I was looking forward to it.

Im gonba wait for reviews for Wolfy Youngblood and Cyberpilot. Im hoping Cyberpilot works well with the Rift. Seems like it only has WMR, Index and Vive controller input support so far.

Whoa! Did they fix the issue with Steams Average game completion score!? I suddenly have 33%, I used to be stuck at 32% and I've only recently played Return of the Obra Dinn and I only got 16% on that still so it can't be that. So it seems they have done something.

Deques Weren't you also stuck? Has it changed for you?

The closest I could find was this: Glamour. Note that in the books Yennefer only uses it sparingly, and so that can't be the reason she doesn't look like a hunchback. I believe that kind of drastic change isn't done by illusions.

And also Glamours seem like, again, they wouldn't really work on a trained mage. In the books they seemed quite adept at spotting simple illusions. The Nilfgaardian (lol at milf) sorceress you talk about is Assire var Anahid (who gets killed in Witcher 2), and if I remember correctly, it wasn't just that she didn't use glamours, it was also that she generally didn't care about her appearance at all, and she changed that after becoming a member of the lodge.

I'm currently playing Super Lucky's Tale and it's fantastic. I bought it somewhat expecting a generic 90's platformer (I did play the first one on my Vive for some odd 30 minutes and it was charming) but it's either a) I'm just a sucker for this kind of game (stares at Spyro, already sitting in his library) or b) it's just really good.
It's probably both.

The character design and the animation are just funny... And I love those redneck worms. I almost completed the second hub, but on one of the loading screens I saw a character looking like Macho Man Randy Savage... can't wait to meet him. Oh yeah.

Mine is still showing 53%, I should have 54% according astats

I also started too many games and unlocked too few achievements, so my AGC has been lowered

Mmh, I kinda want to clean my 4k TV but I swear those things must be made of crystal. Don't push too hard, beware of scratching it, take care that your liquid isn't part this or that.
I'm a little terrified, really not in a position to buy another set, to say the least.

Just get one of those screen cleaning products (one with many good user reviews just to make sure) on Amazon and a microfiber cloth. Spray a bit of liquid on the cloth and then use it to gently wipe the surface of your tv. You won’t damage it.

I was about to say something along the lines of "someday I'll play World of FF when Square stops asking a stupid price on it" but lo and behold they've already done one of their signature completely-out-of-the-blue-and-with-no-fanfare permanent 50% price cuts that FF games get. I should get it as soon as I have the time for it.
Masashi Hamauzu is legit best composer of this generation.

Yeah I did it with some no alcohol wipes, with no real microfiber cloth or even trying to wipe the screen, afraid to scratch it. Looked real good at first but now I can see some traces. Eh, still miles better than before, so...
Haven't put it on since, afraid to discover some damages :drinking-blob:

While the TV dried gently I took this opportunity to re-plug the HDs where I put my ripped movie collection. All this shit because someone talked about movies on discord and I felt the vague desire to watch something. Yeah, it will go well, I watch maybe three movies a year nowadays and always feel underwhelmed at the thing I just watched.

I'm fairly certain I'm so depressed that I have bad impulse control.

Finished Katana Zero.

Cool game. Sort of Hotline Miami with a sideview and a similar soundtrack. Can get sometimes a little bit too hectic in the later levels which some are a tad too long and sometimes I thought the hitboxes were bullshit but definitly recommended.

Wish there was a easier way to jump around in the memories in Return of the Obra Dinn, as it is now it's little cumbersome to go around in them, I have a clue but I just have to find it in a memory.xD

What about the secret boss

World of Final Fantasy is great tho.
!!!

The writing is hit or miss at times, but the game itself is fantastic and i hope they'll make a second one.

I like that Mark of the Ninja can be played at one's own pace to plan and navigate through sections at their leisure.
The game would indeed offer more challenge to those who wish to seek it, but as someone who is in it for something of a 'chill' stealth experience it is delivering.
I am going full pacifist from stage 2 onwards and I am liking the additional challenge I am giving to myself by not removing enemies.

Finished AC IV: Black Flag yesterday. I think I ended up at atound 80% complete.
I actually tried doing everything but the endless collectathons became too much. And I realized I would never replay the main missions to get every optional objective.

I really liked Edward as a character. Can't entirely say that I followed the main plot,
since it seemed he did everything the assassins wanted but for himself, which apparently failed even though he didn't fail? But realizing it was better to do it for the assassins was the magic ingredient?
I totally caught the twist with
James Kidd
far before it was revealed though.

Onwards to AC Rogue!

maybe I'm remembering wrong, but was there a steam market/inventory extension that became not safe? Like they changed something and became sort of a spyware?
Was it steam economy enhancer?
