Which is better, Far Cry 4 or Far Cry 5?
4. 5 was an utterly snoozefest for me. It's a miracle I managed to play through it. I had to use different cheats to get through it. It wasn't bad, just completely and utterly uninteresting.

I bought New Dawn long time ago on sale and have yet to find an interest in playing it because of 5.

sony only have themselves to blame for that
Yeah, I'm sure the fact that 6 Far Cry games are almost occupying more than half of the top 10 and the usual top 10 is 10 places down doesn't have any impact :p

What's the reason for having only one save slot? Is it so it can emulate an mmorpg game?
That's not really something new, Hollow Fragment (which is the first game) has no manual save either, the game saves on changing location (which you do pretty frequently).
Lost song saves as you sleep in the inn and Hollow Realization has autosaves as well (haven't played these yet, wanna go through HF first when time allows)

I prefer five over four, but five was my first game that I played on a high refresh rate display. So, I'm biased.
But both are UBI open world games. You run around liberate camps and gather resources. Five is a bit more streamlined.

Couldn't find the GOG thread here so I ask here:

I decided to downlaod Ultima 7 (VII), but I can't and that's what confuses me. Ultima VII Complete Edition are in my GOG Galaxy 2, but install button on it is greyed out. It also don't show up in my GOG library on the website nor searching for it on the website, but googling the GOG page the game up and says "owned".

Do they still have that GOG downloader thing? If so turn it off. Or try the client.

I like GOG Galxy 2 as it has a lot of options for the library and stuff, but the client feels like it's hold back with ducktape. Crashing issues, library issues, sync issues etc.

EGS on the other hand is stable in the way that it doesn't crash, but it lacks so many features (which I guess is the reason it doesn't crash) and it is slow and laggy which is amazing considering how small my library is on EGS compared to my Steam library.

Using Steam after using GOG Galaxy 2 and EGS makes me feel Steam is running on black magic.

Sure there are things I want Valve to do better, but it's so fascinating to have an installed library of 50 games or so and the amount of features, yet the Steam client is neither slow or laggy or rarely ever crashes.

So far there are only 2 things that made Steam slower or freeze up for some seconds which is when I want to load up my uncategorized/not-installed library of thousand games which means that Steam must load up all the library game pictures and when I had game icons enabled so when I scrolled down quickly Steam froze, so I disabled game icons.

Edit: Installing Alpha Centauri on GOG made Galaxy 2 crash.

Edit 2: Jesus christ, Alpha Centauri is stuck at 551mb/570mb. Is GOG getting their servers and client codes from the MS Store?

The one thing that slows down Steam consistently for me is opening up the tab with all my collections. Presumably because it loads artwork to display on each category. Though, I also have over 70 categories and I don't want use the simplified library, which does load them smoothly.

I vote 'fuck that noise'.
If you want to replay them, that's fair, but if it's just to have them on steam, I'm sure there will be other sales.
:cat-heart-blob:
this. It’s a fairly pointless reason if I were to be blunt I’m afraid 😕

Oh to be fair again, that's a thing we all did at one point or another I think. I just genuinely want our friend to avoid doing the same 'mistake'. Or doing it with full knowledge of the relative pointlessness of it. That is if he indeed has access to the games via other means.

I did a voice of reason post. Damn, am I getting old.

I had a quick look and there seems to be a problem/conflict with Ultima VII Complete Collection and Ultima VII with the Expansions. I cannot install Ultima VII Complete either. Someone mentions a workaround in this thread but i haven't tried it yet or done more than skim the thread tbh.

About 2h15 min till Death Stranding is out. Connected my PS4 controller so Im ready. I don't do pre-loads, so I will start downloading when the game is out, but I have fairly fast Internet so shouldn't take much time, I guess 1-2 hours to download.

Started Tacoma. Tried the first AR session in the personnel quarter and I am already in love. Such a unique take in story-telling. .

That is pretty much exactly my experience with FC5 and ND... I didnt use cheats but it took me a long time to play through it because it was so utterly boring (for the most part). As always with FC, my favourite part was taking over hostile outposts.

Would it hurt steam to give us a proper count down, instead of "two hours, but it could also be three, or maybe closer to one"?
JaseC has been begging them to fix it for YEARS now :p

guess Gaben just doesn't like Australians or something (can't say i'm surprised, though :p)

Ola Sondej: Dying Light - Hellraid is a game mode that’s based on the currently-on-hold project. While it contains locations and assets from the original Hellraid project, it is more of a fun introduction into dark fantasy in the Dying Light universe.
..
The two games are very different from each other. We decided to use some of Dying Light’s gameplay mechanics, implement those of Hellraid’s that wouldn’t interfere with the overall experience, and which fit well. Our end goal is to build a different world within Dying Light - the dark fantasy setting, the enemies, the weapons.
..
OS: The original Hellraid team is currently working on different projects within Techland - Dying Light 2, our unannounced fantasy RPG, and Dying Light which is still receiving regular updates - including Dying Light - Hellraid.
..¨
OS: Never say never, but the game currently remains on hold. Right now we don’t have any plans in terms of working on Hellraid as a standalone title, as we’re fully focused on developing Dying Light 2.
...
OS: We don’t think of Dying Light - Hellraid as the final DLC and we plan to continue our support for Dying Light.

If that Tomb Raider thing is more than just a bundle of the existing games, I might be in.
I'm not expecting a remaster, but a modern controller support and achievements would go a long way.
Yeah, I would be thrilled to get native basic resolution options + anti-aliasing options built in and achievements. For the 360 era trilogy just throw in achievements and the exclusive 360 DLC for Underworld.
