Thanks Anonymous User for Insomnia: The Ark. If my memory is right it's the RPG that took forever to ship and went from a nice isometric view to a more mundane one. Always been curious about its dieselpunk universe.

It is in Fahrenheit, temp was -29° C with -34° C wind-chill. Somewhat close since it's approaching -40°, the one temperature they both agree on.

Very impressive! Those co-op levels are something else. I also watched part of a GDQ speedrun the other day, and the amount of coordination that's required for these is next level.

I was wondering, at 0:51 and later at 0:59, one of the players (the white ninja) seemingly lands right on top of a bomb (or rather walljumps off it) but it doesn't explode. Is there some kind of trick to that, or is it actually just the right angle?

Tangent: I didn't realise how massive the 30x series PCBs are until I hold them in my hands. I was upgrading my 980 to 3070 last weekend and the 980's PCB is bloody tiny in comparison. Anyway, carry on.

yeah it's definitely a hardware issue. Maybe New World's title screen was badly programmed or whatever, but like I said a page or so back, internal thermometers are supposed to throttle clock speed or trigger an emergency shutdown before it gets hot enough to damage anything, that's literally why PCs have them

Well, I don't agree, we have seen how big the rereleases have become for Square-Enix in general and to be honest, the main problem here might be who owns the rights (quintet in this case) and if S-E is willing to help them allowing the team to re-release the classic.

I think this is the best moment for something like that.

Is this thing any good if you're only interested in the single player?

Its alright. I only play single player stuff, got this a while ago. Its campaign splits between 3-4 mini stories across the allied forces so you get one where you are a regular solider in a tank crew, one you are a pilot, one you are a message runner (i think, its not very memorable). They are all fairly standard, each one is a few chapters long so you can get through them in a couple of hours. Worth a play if you like the setting and FPS. It looks very good graphically if you have a beefy PC. Worth a Fiver. Last story is pretty good, Laurence of Arabia stuff.

Observation: despite of the EGS summer sale, there is barely any dev or pub advertising their games on sale on EGS, only so far Ive seen on Twitter is the publisher of Mundaun and Stonefly and there is barely any talk about the sale either.

Like, Days Gone is currently on sale on Steam and EGS and the game's Twitter page is only linking to the Steam page and mentioned EGS in the same tweet, but no EGS store page link.
