Interesting to hear. Koei uses the default steam regional pricing in Canada so its actually really good pricing here.

EGS will fail but subscriptions won't be the cause and I don't think that we should be worried about them. Subscriptions are super popular in the film and music industries but you can still buy the content you want to own. I see subscriptions as a replacement of rentals and I use them accordingly. I suppose it is conceivable that subscriptions will become the mainstream way of consuming games content in the future but it won't be anytime soon.
Yeah I think owning games and subscriptions will go side by side. I use Spotify but I still buy vinyl records of music I really like. It's different with games sure but I still prefer to buy some games over say playing them on game pass.

Also, when it comes to Steam it all comes down to PC optimization, bugs, and the services. I don't think users are that critical about the quality of writing and story in games.

Metasteam has a hard time accepting the fact that David Cage is a....very good video game director.
I hope subscription gaming doesn't take over from being able to buy games. I doubt it will. It will sit alongside traditional ownership (well, licencing).
Personally the subscription stuff doesn't interest me. I don't like a time limit on the games i play and i typically play more indies and smaller games rather than the big AAAs and so buying a bunch of them in a Steam sale which I can play at any time in the future works best for me.

Is it in metric and English? Wonder if it's tied to a regional setting in Windows or something.
Yeah, I thought it would be tied to language because I couldn't find a setting for it, even in the config files. No way to change the language manually it seems, but even then I would prefer to play it in English. Eh. I'll survive with imperial units or blame any poor performance on that

This actually made me want to replay the first game so I can go through the whole story in chronological order but I don't have the time. Fortunately I still have the bonus episode to play. Gonna be great to see Max again.
You get so attached to Rachel and then that very last scene of the ending reminds you of what happens to her and it's such a punch in the gut. The last choice was very divise with players just like in the first game, 48% told Rachel the truth. I did as well.
One thing that surprised me is that only 19% of players got Rachel's mother to appear in the end. I got that scene, I'm assuming it depends on the dialogue choices while talking with her at the mill. Speaking of which, that part was pretty anti-climatic, Chloe gets knocked out and then when she wakes up the fight is over.

So much looking forward to getting Saints & Sinners and Darksiders Genesis on the summer sale despite that I won't play them immediately, been wanting them for so long.
