Im really enjoying the Titanfall 2 campaign. Played it a while ago. Its the only game i have on Origin and so I havent really re-visited it as i just dont fire up Origin. Picked it up on Steam and just finished ...

The mission in that facility where you hop back and forward through time

Its a really good shooty bang game. Glad for those that like the MP that it has a bit of a player number boost.

You're right. It should be all anime stuff and not some.

exactly

whoever proposes to keep Anime out of this thread, or generally reduce its presence anywhere, they have my support

Edit: while I'm at it, there's something to be said for information or exposition density. The amount of proper nouns that this game machine guns into your brain is astounding. I recognize that this is a very subjective thing, but pelleting the player with nonsense words and names out of the gate and keeping up a rapid pace throughout, while expecting you to make sense of it is uniquely off-putting to me. I suspect they partly recognized the issue, because they do keep track of key information for you, but it's only accessible in the space ship. Would be nice if they just abstracted it to a menu you can access anywhere, instead.
Just out of curiosity... have you tried Final Fantasy XIII? If you haven't I think you really should! I'm 100% certain you'd love it! I still don't know what Fal'Cie, L'Cie, Cie'th, etc. mean...

Lashman's Egyptian Swim Club - Because he's in Denial!

StarStruck looks bonkers, it's a shame i'm pony at rhythm games :(

Didn't see any mention of this, so for anyone interested :
Rayman Redemption is a reimagination of the original Rayman game from 1995. The features a lot of new content, including new worlds, levels, minigames and stuff to collect and complete.

Also, are there usually steam summer sales on software like aesprite? Or do these never happen?

What should I expect if I install Ubuntu when I buy my PC? 🤔 are there driver issues or something?

Nappael is usually the guy to talk to about this from what I see. I think there are issues if you're going to dual-boot since Windows 10 updates sometimes breaks the other OS, but I'm not 100% sure.
Ah I see. I honestly I got scared off Linux in 2010 because I couldnt get it to run properly.

I tried Xubuntu and Mint, things were pretty stable and there weren't any issues on a Thinkpad, I think they improved pretty well these days. I read some people nowadays install their different OS on separate drives if they're still planning on Windows 10 + Linux so maybe take that into account so things don't break. Sorry if I wasn't any help.

I just wanted to say that kio was right and that Industria is pretty great. Unforgiving difficulty though, couldn't bring myself to finish the demo, but I'm sold on the world.

NarohDethan There is a Linux Gaming thread that didn't get many replies. Give it a bump.

Linux Gaming - Thread of the Millenium

I think drivers are in a much better place than 10 years ago and tech like Wine and Proton have really helped expand the gaming side. There's obviously going to be some games that don't work well but if you're Dual Booting you can just drop into Windows for those.
How often Windows 10 will mess up the bootloader and bootpartition i couldn't say but there should be fixes available for that if it happens.

Also, there's "Live" distributions of many Linux distros which you put on a USB stick and boot from it which means it doesn't write to your drives and would be an easy way to evaluate if your hardware will play nicely or not.

I'm really happy that Titanfall 2 got a new lease on life. Its campaign was really quite good and I'd love to see a Titanfall 3.

In Steam Festival news, I tried out three demos of turn-based games that I also wishlisted. The Captain is Dead, Black Book and The Hand of Merlin.

It's a turn-based FTL about managing disasters on a spaceship. I don't actually know if it has a randomized map and stuff as I haven't completed the demo but it's an interesting game with a Star Trek inspiration, if a bit too slow compared to FTL. Fun fact: the tutorial is narrated by an off-brand Q! He has the look of Q from TNG's first episode, Encounter at Farpoint.

This is a roguelite card battle RPG about a young witch trying to free her loved one from hell. I really like the look and I really liked the more story-based approach as you explore hotspots on a map, pick up quests and make decisions.

This game is a roguelite XCOM in arthurian times. Seriously, it has the shield cover icons and everything! The demo was pretty short and the game's production values could be better but I had enough fun to wishlist it and follow its development.

I also used to be hugely into anime from like the late nineties to after two thousand but sooner or later the question came, "what the fuck am I doing with my life?"

Edit: I still ask that daily, so what do I know?XD

There was a time when I watched several shows each season. Then it got less and less, until I wasn't just into it anymore. Might be a quality issue, might be that I don't feel like a badass pirate anymore because I can watch all of it legally now :[

I still read some odd, long mangas and the only time I watch Animes now, is when I watch the anime version after reading the manga. Space Brothers were the Last Anime I watched because of it.

I discovered as much from playing Prey, but Outer Wilds is confirming that I have a strong fear of getting lost in the emptiness of space without a safety net. Very freaky when you get out there in just your suit.

Edit: aaand there's underwater stuff too :suicide-blob:

Do card prices generally go up or down during the seal?

This looks promising, but why rogue-lite?!
