I don’t understand why Sony isn’t more aggressive releasing on PC. Aren’t they suffering from the chip shortage (like all) = lower sales on PS5 area?

Any recommendations for JRPG's that are not party based?
The Ys games usually, though the more recent the game the higher the chances of a party. Still, Oath/Origins are so damn good. If Ys counts then so do the various Mana games (Mystic Quest Game Boy too for Pal) and Rune Factory games. And if they count then maybe with a bit of a stretch so does Zelda. If the party Ys games count because you only primarily control one character and the rest just do their thing or you switch to them then so do the Tales of games.

Ed: there are dungeon crawlers/roguelikes like Shiren the Wanderer/Mystery Dungeon games to consider, some first person/ish like Beyond the Labyrinth.

Not party based in the sense that you're literally the only character doing the fighting, or you control only one character with an AI party, or multiple character but only one at a time is fighting?

If it's the former I can't really think of any "traditional" JRPGs that would fulfill that criteria.

There's Lightning Returns with excellent combat and experimental design choices, but awful story

Then the rest is pretty much Action-RPG territory

The Ys games before 7 are also solo and fantastic:

Xanadu Next is excellent too, not a huge story focus but what's there is excellent

Gurumin is a fun romp as well, but the port isn't really that good

They don't need money and they can spread out their releases in a way that will allow them to have regular PC releases because enough time will pass for games to tap out console sales.

I really want to play Hivebusters and I have Gears 5 on Steam, but the DLC is not on sale and I really don't wanna use game pass for it, it's a big game by gb and Im afraid it's gonna take my hdd hostage.

Y'all need to understand COVID fucked up lots of things.

Yeah, Keighley, Schreier, Zhugex and Phil Spencer has all said that covid really fucked the games industry.

That applies to new games but there are quite a few old (>3 years old) releases that have already sold pretty much what they could on consoles.

I explained my theory before they are using older titles to fill the gaps until new releases are ready for release on PC. That way they have continuity instead of releasing bunch of games in single year then waiting years to release other batch.

I've played some Lobotomy Corporation and so far it's super captivating. I'm really glad there's no time pressure at all, that was one thing I feared when reading that you need to make it through days. But nope, you can "grind" as much as you want. The "pressure" is coming from the monsters you manage which can go wild based on things you do or how much work you do with them.
The first fixed monster is pretty harmless and I've been lucky, I think, with the 2nd one as well. It's fairly harmless :)

The 3rd one seems potentially less amiable though :thinking-face:

We'll see :evilblob:

Also the soundtrack

Blood circulates all over the body wink wink

Bro the day Bloodborne comes to PC I'll have an aneurism out of sheer excitement lmao

Mars is both the god of war and a planet in an orbit circulating around the sun...

makes 3, i'm sure we can find a 4th game for the "circulates" hint :upside-down-face:

Thanks for mentioning the Ys games. I have them on my wishlist.

Does Lighting Returns runs without problems or does it have the same problems as the other two games in the trilogy? I have read about technical problems in XIII and XIII-2.

Oh, oh, Parasite Eve is another awesome one! And Quest 64, Crisis Core, and Kingdom Hearts probably counts. Maybe the pre-LAD Yakuza games as well. And Panzer Dragoon Saga, a duo of rider/dragon doesn't really count as a party right? They use the same pool of action points after all, might as well be visual only. CrossCode is a modern kinda Mana-like game as well. Not really Japanese I don't think, but clearly modeled after that. Undertale is another JRPG-like.

Sony can take a hit from their gaming division and absorb it from their other divisions I'd imagine, so they can take their sweet time with their PC roll out

The answer is never that simple with SQ ports. :p Compared to the previous two entries, it is a better port overall and runs well. You can also check out the pcgamingwiki for more info. However, if you experience odd frame-pacing or micro-stuttering, then you'll have to use SpecialK's frame limiter with the Sleepless Render Thread option turned on.

I just took a look at the website that Reddit is using to auction off the 3 NFTs and this is currently one of the highest auctions on the whole website:

It is going for like $8 million. Did I just pirate that image?

NFTs are weird.
To answer your question, nope. You didn't pirate it, nor did you steal it. From my understanding NFT's are just a proof that you own the rights to the art. The art itself can be distributed anyhow

If you enter giveaways at Steam Gifts then in 4 days, they'll be doing a bunch of giveaways for their 10 year anniversary:

A good example of why SteamVR being platform agnostic is a good thing for Valve: a friend of mine bought ther Quest 2 a while ago, but buy all non-Oculus exclusives on Steam. Both because it's cheaper and he trust Steam to keep his games more than Oculus.

Not locking out non-Valve HMDs from Steam VR games was a good decision by Valve.

lol :-D
my hinting game needs to improve my hinting game , never though someone would think of this one from that

Lol, I honestly don't see what you're hinting at and I'm very familiar with Sony's games.

So my wife will be unemployed again starting next week. We were going to have dinner with our best friends at a restaurant and watch Portugal's game together but now I have to cancel, gonna need every cent until she finds work again. It's fucking depressing.

I started playing it a couple of weeks ago and can't get smooth performance no matter what I do. I think I'm going to give up on it. I'm glad it was through family sharing, though I guess I could've gotten a refund if I bought it.

Same thing here, I've bought just yesterday Boneworks and Pavlov on Steam, despite they're also on Oculus Store, and when I'll the money, I'll buy only non-Oculus Headset: Facebook it's the evil (I'm sorry for the developers anyway)

Grabbed my first selection, mostly stuff very cheap or I knew I had been waiting for a good sale (Cozy Grove and Foregone). I'll probably pick up some more but have to debate what I'll actually play right away. Content warning: Contains anime games

beware catherine spoilers

just finished catherine on a blind playthrough, 8.5/10 to me honestly
it has what you can expect from atlus, sick OST, nice storytelling and characters, i really enjoyed the whole debacle about alcohol trivia

i just really hate the whole shit about the choices
i wanted to go for something on the order side, but after i got the katherine bad ending, it felt as though i would need a walkthrough if i was to get a heavily order/chaos instead of a middle, kinda bummed out about it, but the ending itself is alright
not a bad ending by any means, more like a normal ending

But what is exacly an NFT? Another EA game? Need For Tits?
Imagine, you paid for a receipt. except it's not a physical receipt. It's digital only and exists in a blockchain ledger. And that receipt grants you ownership to an instance of some piece of art. Not the piece of art, the artist can still do whatever they want with it, just an instance of it that you can claim you paid for.
Like if you paid to own a receipt for this:

You can own a receipt for that copy. I can still use the gif and so can everyone else, but that copy right there in that post, you have a receipt for it. Congrats.

It's the digital version of this

Undertale must be very popular in Japan. From the looks of it the top tweets from Japan about the Summer Sale have been about this all time low price for the game.
The game was basically a cult classic in Japan before it even received an official localization and console ports, but it definitely didn't hurt that 8-4 absolutely nailed the localization. It's honestly so good you could mistake it for being originally written in Japanese if you didn't know any better.

It's arguably even worse than that because there is absolutely no arbitrary limit on NFT and they represent literally nothing. The NFT represents itself, essentially. You could have multiple NFTs for exactly that same piece of art and they'd be equally valid (and worthless, except to the people paying for them). It's a bastard child of art collecting and pyramid schemes wrapped up in environmental devastation.

Yesterday i stumbled upon documentary about Mont Saint-Michel and boy did it bring memories of AC Multiplayer. Just look at this

I am still convinced that it was one oft the more unique multiplayer released to date and it is sad that Ubisoft abandoned it (they abandoned many things near and dear to me, cough, Splinter Cell, cough). But there is chance that it will come back now that they want to push F2P releases of their big franchises.

So yeah i really miss Assassin's Creed Multiplayer.
