I agree, i ranted at length in the deck thread due to cutscenes glitches.
The issue to those are codecs, until Valve fixes that stuff you need proton GE to have cutscenes working
Honestly, no one should depend on system codecs for video playback on PC in the 2020s.
It's such a massive source of potential unique per-user issues even on Windows, and also not necessary in the least given that VP9 exists and is freely available.
But of course, that doesn't fix existing games, or those ported by companies who's best practices for PC porting are at least a decade out of date, so Valve will have to continue working on it.

If I had to bet I’d say that in 10 years we’ll be talking about practices that are 2 decades behind.
Also it’s why I always find it crazy that somehow the outsourcing of port is seen as a company not caring, it’s much better to leave stuff to people who have experience in the field rather than fumbling about

Kind of a wasted opportunity with millions n millions watching twitch this past week. Should have just done an event even if you don't have anything big releasing this year. Ubisoft in particular needed to have one as they announced a bunch of stuff last year that has yet to release so why not update people with news.
Maybe we will see some stuff next month or the pubs are waiting for Gamescom. Sony needs to have their own big event as well soon.

Johren is trash mainly because they keep mosaics on their english releases.
