Dragon Quest X Offline launches September 15. An English version will probably never happen.
I feel like an English localization has to be part of the motivation for this to even be a thing. Especially since there's a Steam release.

You're right, but I would not be surprised if Valve would ditch the $399 model. It's the least popular model, because like you said its storage is not enough and Valve is most probably selling it at a loss or at least making no profit from it. Making new hardware is always an act of balance between price and feature set and you can only do so much when you sell your console for $399.I think a model with an OLED screen would be nice, but don’t read too much into people buying the most expensive model and Valve having free reign to price how they want.
In the end, if Valve can get adequate storage on the base model then that will be the more popular one. It’s just PC gamers know 64gb is nowhere near enough.
The Deck’s price right now is good enough. We shouldn’t be hoping the price goes up and some sort of specs arms race ensues.
Yes and no. Basically they took the storyline from the MMO and made a single player, normal, chibi Dragon QuestThis is the first time I hear of DQ X offline. I'm curious, I guess "offline" also means "single-player" here? (Rather than "not an MMO, but still with MP, which would be more interesting to me)
So it is really a new game, new code base and everything? That would make a Western release with localisation also far more likely.Yes and no. Basically they took the storyline from the MMO and made a single player, normal, chibi Dragon Quest
Yeah, I don't think it even uses the art assets from the MMO. It's basically a remake that strips out all the MMO elements. So it is really a new game, new code base and everything? That would make a Western release with localisation also far more likely.
I don't see why they couldn't just have it be release by 'Blizzard' at that point?
I don't really care much for THPS 1+2
But THPS 3+4 is what I personally grew up on and I was hoping that they would work on those but I guess not.... .
Enjoy your games everyone.
Rodney is just a madman in that video.
Probably because it wouldn't be on brand.I don't see why they couldn't just have it be release by 'Blizzard' at that point?
I mean besides the usual reasons Activision does anything to streamline their output to COD and Blizzard MTX.
Keep up hope, it will happen.

How/where do you do that? Cant find that anywhereGo into the game details page and press resync Steam Cloud.
Steam version is already confirmed, actually. Please… i want that dqx offline on steam
Ugh, I got hit by a steam cloud error on the PC, but I can't find how you correct it like on Deck. Great.How/where do you do that? Cant find that anywhere
Yeah i meant an english version, that version will probably be region locked tooSteam version is already confirmed, actually.
What we need is an english version confirmation now.
Making a JP only PC port and Steam release seems pointless, so I think the Steam release pretty much is confirmation of an English localisationSteam version is already confirmed, actually.

You were spot on. Nice eagle eye.on 1:14. the wall of games show Tiny Tinas Wonderlands...which isnt sold on Steam yet. hm. i wonder if thats one of the sneaky things they do sometimes (like, Mirrors Edge Catalyst showed up in the reveal of the new Library before EA games were back on Steam)...or just a mistake.
A Steam release is not a confirmation of an english localization, after all Bandai Namco released this on Steam without an english localization only in asian countries, wouldn't be all that unlikely for Squeenix to do something similar:Making a JP only PC port and Steam release seems pointless, so I think the Steam release pretty much is confirmation of an English localisation
It should be next to the "Play" button in the game details page. Where it says your current Steam Cloud status. On my phone now so can't screenshot.How/where do you do that? Cant find that anywhere
The previous video showed a first look at the TFE GPU Renderer, which showed rendering sector geometry but no objects or HUD. This time, I run through another level to show objects, the HUD, weapons, and the automap. There are still a few issues here and there, but the GPU renderer is getting much closer to the finish line.
Of course, the software renderer will be maintained. But the GPU Renderer offers much higher performance and correct perspective rendering when looking up and down. Despite what the UI says, the renderer uses 8-bit palette emulation.
Note - the remotes are a lot harder to hit without auto-aim. -
The cloud status icon next to Play button might be clickable when cloud is out of sync for any reason. I think that's what I saw when I was messing around with Elden Ring saves to get all the endings.How/where do you do that? Cant find that anywhere
Yes, it's single-player, in the vein of DQIX from what I remember. This is the first time I hear of DQ X offline. I'm curious, I guess "offline" also means "single-player" here? (Rather than "not an MMO, but still with MP, which would be more interesting to me)
Both Bandai Namco and Koei Tecmo have several JP only PC ports under their belts.Making a JP only PC port and Steam release seems pointless, so I think the Steam release pretty much is confirmation of an English localisation

I stand corrected, I guess then it is at least possible that there might be an English localisation at release.A Steam release is not a confirmation of an english localization, after all Bandai Namco released this on Steam without an english localization only in asian countries, wouldn't be all that unlikely for Squeenix to do something similar:
Got another late start today so things have been a bit of a mess. We'll probably start with some more Neon White today. Need to keep Valdien and Blu on their toes.
Hmm, I'm not seeing anything like that. The cloud status icon next to Play button might be clickable when cloud is out of sync for any reason. I think that's what I saw when I was messing around with Elden Ring saves to get all the endings.
It's a little troubling that I don't remember it with 100% certainty considering I just did it like couple of days ago.
It looks like this for meHopefully it's just a bug, although I don't really need cloud TBH because I only ever play on this PC :V
Nothing for me, but opted out the Beta and it's gone so that'll do for now :VIt looks like this for me
Then you click "Out of sync", then it fails, then you click retry and it maybe works. But clicking Play always fixes it for me.
In my case it happens when I have games installed both on the Deck and Desktop, playing on one machine always causes the other to display the sync errors until I play on the other machine or manually resync. It's a bit annoying.
pretty sure only one is on steamSo Valve banned this yet they allowed TWO Criminal Girls games?
The audio seems to be USB only, but it doesn't say the adaptive triggers are USB only. I wonder if they managed to get that going over bluetooth.
I winced when they crushed the Index, and it only got worse from there.
Surprised they didn't throw some bacon in that blenderValve vidéos feel like internet, 10 years ago.
