Sorry to be a bother, but is this what I should use if I want to replace the case fans ? (not the cpu one, the front ones, maybe even elsewhere if there are possibilities)

Reviews are so so, maybe I could aim for better.
I wonder if this peak is when AC Unity crashed on me, immediate return to desktop. But then again, wouldn't the PC shut down in that case, and not just a game.
I promise I'll shut up for a while about ATOM RPG ( ) after this post.
I know I can be a "pain in the ass" when a game I'm looking forward to is about to launch, or just launched, so I'll try not to overdo it.
Anyway, I would just like to point out that apparently owners of ATOM RPG get a 20% discount on the new stand-alone expansion, since I managed to grab it with an additional discount, for around 8€ (sweet price ).

Depends on what the various hardware/Windows max limits before shutdown are set to. The [game] crash might be the result of the heat but not in response to it.
Oh fuck I missed that it's the CPU temp, so while changing my case fans could be good, the Ryzen standard fan seem to be doing a poor job.
And I sure as fuck don't want to unscrew the thing and apply thermal paste.

Check the CPU Fan is actually working.
Check the Fan Curves on the monitoring software.
If the CPU is overheating and the fan is spinning then replacing the thermal paste would be your easiest option.
Is AC Unity quite demanding? Does this happen in other games? Are you running with all the sliders on Max and you might need to drop some settings?
Seems like it's going to be nickel and dime content for a probable season pass price to me. Hope I'm wrong though. I already bought the expansions and was just hoping there was going to be another big hit, not a dribble of content.
I'm interested in playing the game a lot over a short period of time, not playing the game for a bit when little bits of content arrive over a long period of time if that makes sense.
I normally play those kind of games for hundreds of hours, until I get bored. Because I've seen most of the things there are to see and I've done all the things I like doing, over and over again
Total Warhammer 2 changed that behavior for me. Whenever I "burn out" the game is close to a new patch that brings me back for another 50-100hours
But to be fair the "patches" are also excellent. The last one (December?) revamped the AI turn calculations (a lot faster now), added a new free sub-faction for Bretonnia, The paid part added a new Dark Elves sub faction and a new Skaven sub faction.
The update coming this month will revamp the ork faction (free), add a new high elf sub faction (free). The paid part will add a new ork and another high elf sub faction.
Those sub faction (or leaders) either bring their own mechanics or significantly improve the faction as a whole by adding important units, sometimes they do both.
This really works well for TW2 and it constantly brings me back, But as you said quality is the deciding factor: The DLC in TW2 is a good mix of free reworks, good free and excellent paid "leaders" & races. It's incredible to see how the game evolved and changed over the years.
We'll have to see if CiV 6 manages the same quality with smaller DLC as they did with the bigger ones.
Constant updates are of course also a big part of the paradox games, but are also mandatory to have imo. They are more like the traditional Civ expansions.

I don't even know what a fan curve is and if hwinfo can tell me that
Still after changing my 2500k to a 2600x and my 970 to a 2060, I would have hoped the CPU didn't reach 100c peak temp.
You are right that I changed two major settings. I went from High to Very High and as I am playing with a 4K TV that can display 1080p/120 I set it to 120hz.
Depending on what the game do with the 120hz option, overheating could maybe be logical.
What make me think it wouldn't be a total waste of time is that my front fans are old and super weird. They only seem to work when I set them on the wrong bios option (pwm or dc IIRC).

Hm... I have mine connected to the fan controller of the Fractal Define R4 case. I just set them to the lowest setting so I don't hear them (5 Volt). I just have 2 case fans in the front as intake and 1 in the back as exhaust. I have a cheap Hyper 212 cooler installed on my i7-4790K (which also is a CPU which generally gets hot) and don't have any overheating problems. It's all super silent in idle and only a bit louder with really cpu intensive stuff.

There is one simple way to test if your case fans and/or the case itself is significantly influencing your CPU temperature: Open the side panel and run the game again. If the CPU still peaks at 90-100°C, than something is wrong with either your CPU cooler (thermal paste application? mount pressure? contact?) or your bios settings (too much voltage?).
If it goes down by 20°C+ than it could be time rethink your fan/case solution.
I'd already be happy with some kind of optional but standard sub 4k dynamic resolution / 60 mode for all games.
I'd also be surprised.
Have you seen the DF video about Bloodborne running at 720p/60 in PS4 pro boost mode?
Such a good example what people are missing out because of the lack of graphical options.

I'm only guessing, but I assume some kind of "regular Xbox mode" will be there, for old games without a patch. I do not think such a mode would make sense for "new" games though. The whole point is to buy a new console to get better graphics and not get the same stuff as on the old console that you sold on ebay for 80€
and salmonella because you ate a hot dog at a gas station that you stopped at, on your way to send the package with your old xbox.
I think first games will run on one, s, x and series x (at least some). The sticker will be just advertisement to encourage people to buy series x asap.
It's similar nonsense to the "VR ready" sticker on PC.
Or maybe there really will be a "lower" end console alongside series x, maybe a series s? And "optimized for series x" will advertise additional graphical features on the box, like with PS4 and Ps4Pro?
Playing on m&kb, it was utterly impossible to control. I gave it a try, I really did. Games like these are right up my alley and I wanted to enjoy it, yet couldn't because of how impossible to figure out the controls were.
It's a damn shame because this looks like a fantastic, cult game in many respects.
Interesting, I actually had the opposite problem. where keyboard was a lot easier to do the quick-turn dash and backflip, not to mention pole balancing. There's a SimplifiedJump mod on RainDB that lets you bind the more complicated unexplained moves like backflip and belly-slide to a separate button. I believe the developer started developing the game with the keyboard in mind, which is possibly why throwing spears can only be done in a straight line (thank goodness for that, or it would be literally impossible to play on keyboard).
That said, the game does seem like it's purposely hard to control at first, controlling a floppy thing with procedural animations and whatnot, but I eventually got used to it.
Reminder that VirtuaVerse will be released tomorrow!
And with some sweet regional pricing!
(I can't say if price is sweet everywhere, but at least they made an effort, which is something most other devs don't even bother doing.)
Full disclosure: the programmer is a friend of mine.
I can vouch for his deep love for point and click adventures, and for his love of cyberpunk, sometimes expressed with some really crazy AF pet projects.

You have more intestinal fortitude for weird controls than I do then . But at this point the game captivated me so much that I watched the ending on youtube, I just wanted to know .

I had two of those (TC) that I got off from some deal (free after coupon) lasted for about 5/5.5 years, since those have 6 year warranty technically still within warranty, but for 5.5€ retail price, I just replaced them with new one (PWM PST).
Not sure if it's good idea to take version without PWM (for controlling fan speed), at least here that one is 5€, so only 0.4€/0.5€ extra (PWM/PWM PST respectively). PWM PST lets you share single PWM connector on motherboard, so that's good idea unless you have many free.
Looks like you get a 20% off for owning the first game, nice. It's also pretty cheap, I guess it won't be as long as ATOM. It's touted as an expansion after all.

I dont think Microsoft can pull an Apple like situation where they sell devices with different specs, so I hope that the lower end Xbox rumors aren’t true.
So you are saying that the peak is not that big of a deal ?
After the new update killed my ipad yesterday and several hours banging my head against AC Unity to finish this pos, I wasn't in the best dispositions.
Still, 100+ celsius

100C is scary, I think that chip shuts down near that temperature, too. I'd try some stress tests (Intel Burn Test, which works for AMD as well, despite its name, the AIDA64 CPU+FPU stress test, for example)
Run a temp monitoring program at the same time (though AIDA has its own, so you shouldn't need it there) and check your peaks. Maybe it was a special case, but it's still concerning. Especially since the Ryzen stock fans are actually quite competent if you don't OC.
Ok, be brave, this could be a long day.
I should backup every single personal file on my ipad and do a full reset (already tried the soft reset, no dice)
And then dust off the PC, do a stress test, and try the same settings in AC Unity but with an open case.
Oh, and now the fridge does a strange buzzing.
I must have crossed a ladder while stepping on a black cat. All the while defacing the name of God.
This is my current theory
Civ 6 dlc went on sale some time ago
We are 1 month away from summer sale
Wait til summer sale and get discounted dlcs then and use gg.deals to find cheapest price.
After looking up this one Youtube video it occurred to me to connect my N/S to my PC and then just pass on the audio to my speakers and well it works. I am getting some nice sound out of the thing, Now the big con out of this is static, I am hearing static when I have my PC "listen" to my N/S.
Is there anything that I can do to fix this static sound that I am hearing or no?
I plugged a AUX cable to the light blue audio port on the back
I recently found CiV 6 plat for 30€ (31€ now).
That's not a terrible deal, if you are missing both expansions. And yes, the CiV 6 Expansions are kind of "big". Especially Rise and fall is considered mandatory afaik.
Sounds like interference from the other components or something. Typically motherboard audio boards aren't the best, especially when it comes from interference on line-in.
Typically you need an external card or even a better internal expansion setup. You could try a ground loop method or maybe some type of audio compressor/limiter.
I just turn the input off in the control panel when not using the switch as the switch is usually much louder.

Just looked at that Storm Boy and first time I see a game where it says that it wont count as a +1 nor will the achievements count. It says there in "Profile Features Limited", Whats the reasoning behind that?
