This looks good, but it is hard to predict the quality of the title, as it is a new dev studio.
Call of the Sea is the debut title from Out of the Blue, a game developer studio based in Spain.
That being said, the game is published by Raw Fury, which seems like a reliable publisher on Steam.

I like the idea of Lovecraftian vibes, even though it does not transpire from the visuals.

We wanted to keep the essence of the classic H.P. Lovecraft stories while at the same time giving it a different approach.

Not a pulp one, like Call of Cthulhu, but not a cosmic horror either. So instead of having a passive subject that is drawn into madness by circumstances that he/she cannot control, our purpose is to tell a story of a resolute woman, involved in a mystery, and a journey of discovery and acceptance. Not only the acceptance of other realities outside our own but also focusing on how the discovery of events at a greater scale can lead us to the acceptance of who we really are. A story of mystery and adventure, but at the same time a story of self-discovery.

While most Lovecraft stories are a descent to madness, Call of the Sea is a rise to sanity.

But at the same time, we’re telling a tale that also has many things that would fit a classic Lovecraft narrative. You not only experience the discovery but the collection of facts from those who have lived a horror story. That is one of the reasons we wanted to tell Norah's story. And her search for Harry. A female protagonist witnessing a Lovecraft tale told by letters, and at the same time living another one.

I guess this means the posibility of a future Shadow Warrior 4 game will be likely published under THQ Nordic brand.
The videogames industry is heading towards an oligarchy hierarchy.
I got bad news for you (not that bad). Their games will be under Koch Media Group

From here
Flying Wild Hog is the developer behind the Shadow Warrior series. The developer and its team of 260-plus sta across three studios in Poland join Embracer Group under its Koch Media Group label.
Flying Wild Hog is currently working on four projects together with well reputable external publishers, and will continue to operate as an independent studio in the Koch Media Group

It's limited to streaming. Not exactly what enthusiast PC gamers (the ones most likely to have heard of Sony's 1st party games) expect.
It's good to have the option but native > streaming any day.

Great ! Today my plugged DS4 keeps disconnecting from Hades !
Rofl, the solution was to play it via Bluetooth. The same mode that was disconnecting me the other day.
I have a big power issue or Hades joypad support is a trash fire.

About CP2077

I decided to no longer play the game.

I put the tweets aside as outliers from bad apples and didn't think to hard about the oversexualized posters in the game that focus on genitals. It's normal for our society to reduce people to the attractiveness level of their bodies and why should a dystopian, future society be better? It being worse makes sense.

Reading through the transphobic OT left a bitter aftertaste in my mouth though.

Why is a game, that is claiming to be inclusive to trans people not allowing to change the pitch of the voice independent of the pronoun?

It doesn't take a genius to understand that calling a soda "chromanticor"
(Chromosome Manticore) is an insult. Especially if that soda is marketed to trans people in the game.

What's up with their cosplay photoshoot? Why hire a (cis) Woman and stuff a dildo into her swimsuit?
[UWSL]Why not hire a trans model and do more tasteful cosplay stuff?[/UWSL]

And then the problem dawned on me:
CDPR is reducing trans people to "chicks with dicks". Being trans in the game means having male and female sexual organs at the same time, that's it.
I have the strong suspicion that's the limitation of the understanding of the people calling the shots at CDPR.

That's neither inclusive nor an accurate or helpful portrait of the trans community.

[UWSL]Most RPGs don't have trans options. But CP2077 is doing something worse. It's willingly painting a wrong picture. [/UWSL][UWSL]And that is a problem.[/UWSL]

[UWSL]Now, I'm not telling you to not play the game and I'll stay out of the OT.[/UWSL]
[UWSL] I'm also not saying that there is necessary malicious intend behind CP2077 portrait of trans people. But best case scenario: it's ignorance, paired with stubbornness and that has a similar result as malicious intend.[/UWSL]

[UWSL]And whoever came up with chromanticor and whoever greenlighted the idea: you are both assholes. [/UWSL]

I've been playing Genshin Impact almost every day since it was released.

"Haters gonna hate" indeed.
I've been playing it off and on, but the grind is becoming real since I've started ascending characters. Thankfully the best girl (Lisa) is free so I have no real interest in the gacha aspect.

Our current estimate is that online multiplayer for Steam will be ready in early December. :cho:

I am disappointed: I discover that artworks in Alluris are some common assets.

Yeah the download speed on release day was silly. It was perfectly fine for the recent 12 GB (what the hell) 1.1 patch though.

Exactly my point as well. Both the game itself and CDProjekt Red (through their marketing) have done nothing but convinced me that I don't won't to be near this game.

Mind you, I could CDProjekt redeeming itself here. Apologize and remove this chromanticore bullshit, and a general statement acknowledging transphobia in many elements of modern culture.

I've only played the game till Heavensward released but it was surprisingly good for an mmo!
The story telling in FF14 can match some single player RPGs.
I mean it's still anime in nature, so " " sometimes.

Fun fact : FFXIV Shadowbringers is the highest rated FF game since FFXII.

Hey everybody, lots of new stuff to talk about on GameDataCrunch.com!

We've got:
  • New Genres & Tags

Some folks have told me that Game Data Crunch is saving them dozens of hours a month. That's great! So here's our pitch: we're always grateful for anything, but If Game Data Crunch is saving you lots of time and money at your job, we kindly suggest giving us one hour's worth of that saved money each month. If you like what we've done so far, imagine what we could accomplish with a bit more funding!

etc.

I didn't like the idea of Like a Dragon as a mainline game and I still hope they either return to the previous style or make a new game/series for that instead but I have to say it's one of the best JRPGs I've played in ages, the turn/party based combat is pretty good, lots of in depth sub systems and side activities as always, a lot of funny shenanigans and a pretty decent serious story in the middle of it. More successful in bringing JRPG to modern/urban style than Square for sure.

I started Halo 2 last night, and I'm enjoying it a lot more than the first Halo so far. It's almost one set piece after another instead of running through endless amounts of copy-paste corridors. The game is also less frustrating on Heroic difficulty. Dual wielding makes a huge difference against larger groups of enemies.
