wish they'd re-release that on steam ... and those 3 Blair Witch games as well while they're at it

:negative-blob:
Watched some let's plays of those games a few years back since I never played them myself. They seemed promising, but still a bit lackluster.

The woes of being a PC-only gamer and an older gamer: People are excited about a "Nocturne" game coming to PC and you think to yourself "but Nocturne is already on PC".

Trying to find a copy of that is a task unto itself.
One day Nightdive will Kex it and I will have the Strangers sweet, sweet physics-powered trench coat

I'm having a miserable time with Amnesia Rebirth. I think it's a boring game with a trite plot, clunky mechanics and unoriginal scary moments with a "been there, done that" feeling that permeates the whole game. You know that moment in boring horror games when you find yourself so bored that you react to every scary encounter with a "yeah, OK, now get the fuck out of the way" instead of feeling scared or even a little immersed in the events? That. I think I'm close to the end of the game but I'm not sure I want to get back to it.

Nocturne on PC is pretty much a sure thing after P4G. Atlus Japan wants to see if lightning strikes twice.

I think I'm about halfway through but have to say I'm not loving it so much either. It's as I kinda feared, its feels like a step back after Frictional were able to flex with something different with Soma.

It still is quite tense and creepy but in a rather stressful way that I just can't be fucked with right now.
It may be moreso me, but when I'm stumbling around in the dark and have no idea what to do at times, battling the insanity meter and the pathetic lighting resources is just annoying.

BTW if youre annoyed with the resources, you can modify that to be less annoying - I wrote a quick guide on how to:

I it seems there are many kind of "regional pricing" practices in place.

Xuan-Yuan Sword VII just got released and I was curious too see regional pricing from Chinese developers'/publisher's perspective and yeah....unfortunately
"regional pricing" politics related.

Honestly it feels bad seeing this. I hope not many of you are affected by this.

Edit. Sorry, I was too slow redacting the post, got beaten.

I like how Ubisoft went through all the trouble of ‘unifying’ their services and having a new skin for their shitty store but not enabled paypal for my country
I know this is the last thing you want to hear regarding this, and I'm not defending Ubisoft but goddamn I hate PayPal so much and I hope I never again have to work or interact with them in any level. So much I won't blame any store for not using them outside US and EU.

My G910 is dying on me. Might pick something from China instead of going with Logi again depending on their support.

Good I didn't buy Watch Dog Legions. It's a mess.
Quality wise it qualifies as an Epic exclusive.

Constant stutters while driving around. I assume my CPU can't keep up? I'm altogether heavily CPU limited, especially without Ray Tracing enabled.
Cars without RT reflections can look weird in motion. The Sky with DLSS enabled flickers and looks grainy. Car controls with a keyboard are 💩 and not much better with a gamepad. The game doesn't feel very polished and a bit janky.

RT reflections are nice and seeing the game world being reflected in buildings is awesome. But the rest of the game doesn't look that good.

Ah and did I tell you that this SP game must be online all the time and that it installs anti cheat software?
All to protect ubi from losing valuable mtx money.

Glad the reviews mentioned that....

What's your CPU/GPU? I'm not getting stutters (ryzen 3600/2060 super) or flickering with DLSS on. The driving being crap is spot on for my experience as well though (and what I remember of WD1 and 2 too)

This is one of the first tutorials in Watch Dogs Legion:

Nice to have options! Only "Q" works to hack the drone though.

It is pretty impressive to include a major error like this in one of the first tutorials in the game.

Rushed PC release?

the worst part about this one is taht it happens ALL the time. The button prompt for hacking something might be Q today, but tomorrow it decides to go with R, then it goes with Q, then with C, etc. I've shut down drones that I wanted to hijack, etc, all the damn time.

Just here to let everyone know, if I'm not already in talks with you about a PC game for sale, I apologize but I am not continuing the sale.

The issue was that I had stored too many discs in low quality cd binders, that I moved around many many times over a decade and there appear to be a reaction on some discs. This led to wear one side edge of far too many discs. I'll be honest, its been more than 5 years since I had installed a game via disc, so I haven't been checking on it. It isn't right for me to keep disappointing people due to utterly predictable personal fuck up number uncountable.

IF I'M CURRENTLY WORKING OUT A DEAL WITH YOU, THAT DEAL IS STILL VALID AND I WILL CONTINUE TO WORK WITH YOU OVER PM. ALL DISCS WILL BE TESTED! IF A DISC DOES NOT WORK, I WILL LET YOU KNOW.

Console games, I'm still keeping it up for the moment.

Again, I apologize.

MP9 in Vertigo is pretty OP. I was able to get a lot of kills with that little gun. In some cases I was even able to get 3 kills in each round in a casual match.

By the way just be aware that for the VR HMD that the people involved with it have a history of products involving adware. So they may try to pull something on people.

Yep. I haven't bought a Ubisoft game since Black Flag because I can't stand their horrendous optimization. I will keep not buying them until they either fix their shit or I get a CPU that can brute force consistent 60 fps. And only if they release on Steam of course.

Every upcoming game targeting the console launch will probably arrive on fire, I urge everyone to not pre-order anything and wait for benchmarks and reviews before buying.

What's your CPU/GPU?
Night sky is fine, look at the clouds during day when you drive around.
3900x, 2080Ti

edit:
short performance example. This is 1440p + DLSS at the high preset (two steps down from ultra), without RayTracing.

GPU load is at 74%, which means I'm in a heavy CPU bottleneck.

Even with those settings, I'm getting, occasional, sudden dips to 50fps and back up to 60+. Especially at high speed.
Clearly my system is being overloaded, but if a now midrange 2080Ti can't be fully utilized than upgrading to a 3080,3090 doesn't make sense either for this game.

Fells a bit like they took all the problems that AC:Odyssey had and emphasized them.
