Bright Memory Infinite added workshop support and OF COURSE someone already added Tifa, 2B and Ada Wong.

I mean, isn't that the whole purpose of workshop?

Please don't be shit, please

I need a The Movies successor
Now that Microsoft owns Activision, maybe it's time to remind Phil what the people really want.
man, the Movies was so unique
It's one of my favourite games ever. I spent hundreds of hours just building the perfect lots, nevermind making and editing films. I still have a backup of my old saves somewhere.

Sucks the sim aspect was the weakest part. Here's a screenshot of the best star I ever had:

Goddamn, was it hard to build up relationships.

Viz is something, didn't they try to publish video games at one point?

I'm not sure if that's is something that they are still looking into.

By the way, it looks like Viz is now giving people the opportunity to publish their manga on Viz site. It would appear in the online Jump service that they offer.

I don't think it's going to catch on, there maybe some cool manga that does comes out of it (I'm guessing that this is mainly something being done for outside of Japan?

As of now you still have Line Webtoons that really took off, and I've even seen physical comic being sold at Target that are Webtoon Original series, which is pretty insane to me actually.

So far I have seen at least 1 decent series.

I checked out PureDark GTA V DLSS and FG mod and it is kinda impressive. He uses Nvidia Optical Flow to estimate motion vectors. It works well for DLAA, not that well for lower DLSS presets. But I wonder if Nvidia would to put some work into it could it be driver level feature? Could you have DLSS and DLAA in every game without developers actually implementing it?

The Steamcommunity displaying refinded tastes as expected

Out now
Sadly, looks like Deck compatibility is rough, needs a patch or two :/

Good timing for me with the MGS collection release.

Because after 90hrs of BG3 and 100hrs of Starfield..... I am very RPGeed out.

Just an excessive amount of questing, adventuring, roleplaying, companion stuff and dialogue convos etc etc etc. Loved both games so much but yea there was some burn out.

Being able to now sit back and play some classics on my Deck feels good. Hopefully they patch out wtvr issues. I haven't much used my Deck since the summer too when I played a bunch of Stardew.

Also the MGS trilogy is so so good. For those who never got the chance to play them make sure you check them out. Its up there as the greatest trilogy ever imo alongside the Dark Souls and Mass Effect trilogies. The games are so unique to this very day they ooze with quality, incredible sound and they pretty much pioneered the stealth genre. They are a once in a lifetime experience. Playing them in order from the MSX games to the PS2e ra....you pretty much see the birth of a genre. You get to see PS1 and PS2 in all their glory. Kojima and his team squeezed everything they could out of 2 decades of hardware.

I know I'm a broken record, but after some deliberation I think I will skip this collection and do a scanlines playthrough. MGS1 and to a lesser extant MGS2 raw are not my idea of a good time nor what they should look like.

Ingame download zone for Master Collection don't work on Steam right?.
I wasn't able to download visual novels and japanese editions. (It works on all consoles).
This editions and visual novels at least on consoles you need to push "donwnload" for north-american english, japanese versions for all games and 4 visual novels.
So if you don't do this you don't get them attatched to your accounts.
when you try to access there you go to Steam site but not to ingame DLC.

yep it should be there but no:

I was able to do all of them except

METAL GEAR SOLID - Master Collection Version North American Pack
METAL GEAR SOLID 2: Sons of Liberty - Master Collection Version International Language Pack
METAL GEAR SOLID 3: Snake Eater - Master Collection Version International Language Pack

I'm assuming they're just included if you're in NA? Got mine from GMG if that's anything.

weird since console versions is not region blocked and you can download everything.
Could you download videos from "bonus content"?
mine appear this way:
and when you try to download it just go to steam portal.
My key was from GMG too.

seems I'm not the only one with this issue:

Apparently it runs better in GE, so it may be a matter for Valve to fix.

Konami need to fix the lack of cloud saves, though.

Have you clicked the check mark under the DLC area? I clicked it and it's downloading 7GB worth of stuff.

So you were able to redeem those language packs I mentioned to your account? For me it says no license.

nice, when I created the first reply I looked over there and only was the pre-order bonus. XDDD now there're the four videos.
Thanks ^^.
(now appears the other languages on MGS1).

About Mario Wonder, I'm conflicted. It is truly wonderful, like one idea per level, so so good. But I fear the game part is boring as fuck to me. I blame the perfect easy balance for maximum accessibility that transforms into fuck you, I won't do that when they amp it up in special levels.
I'm not finding my difficulty in that.
I guess World 4 was less boring, I have hope for 5 and 6. Or something like that, I don't have the number of worlds in memory.

But boring or not, it's video gamey as fuck, no bullshit, this is Mario, here are platforms. On point. I should play more Nintendo, it seems they are one of the few who don't bloat their games to hell and back.

So they do not crash on GE? that's reassuring

Well... have you played Mario Odyssey? :cold-sweat:
Good point, stars, stars everywhere :sweaty-blob:

I'm again looking into making my Deck a viable emu machine. So cross saves are a must. Maybe Syncthing ? But wouldn't I have to launch it every time I want to sync ?
There is also the Steam version of Retroarch that seemingly does it but no duckstation there.
Are there other options ?

This Chinese FMV dating sim has over 30k CCU. I love seeing weird stuff like this blow up on Steam.

About Metal Gear Collection - per IGN
A post-launch patch is planned to add a number of visual options in the games, including a CRT scanline filter

Which is cool, but I barely skimmed the steam reviews and I'm not sure if this will be enough for me anymore. The collection seems to have issues.
We will see once the scanlines are patched in anyway, not right now.

Worst problems for now are locked resolution and audio issues. I don't see them fixing those, we'll have to see what mods can do

Finally got around to starting Control, been sitting on it ever since they gave it away on GOG. Game is cool. Can't bring myself to care about what's going on in the story though.

Oh right, impossibility to mix dubs and subs. Fuck.

Mind sharing why? Not knowing any reasons, I would advise you to keep the PC. A Steam Deck cannot replace a gaming PC imo.
As someone with a steam deck i would advise against it, i’ll elaborate later tonight when i have more time as to why so if my reasons don’t apply to your situation you can make your own decisions

I have been considering going with just a Steam Deck when the time comes to upgrade so I would like to hear your opinions and objections on this topic. Why would you recommend against using just a Steam Deck as your main gaming PC?

I ultimately liked Control, but the story was not my personal highlight. Really the aesthetic is what kept me engrossed. Even the combat fizzled out by the end.

I have essentially used Steam Deck only since May. It has mostly worked, but there are little annoying bits. Mostly around game compatibility and I wish the docking was smoother (though I have not messed with it recently). I think if Valve improveds dual booting for folks who need it, continues to improve game compatibility, and I would love for a docking experience more akin to Switch, I would probably go full Deck.

The Deck is a wonderful system and I love mine but I have no illusions of playing anything demanding on it. It's a perfect system for indies and less graphically intensive games, for anything else I wouldn't consider it an option.
