Feel bad for the Concord devs. The last few months for them must have been so deflating and demoralizing.

You rarely see the type of negative wave of bad PR hit a game studios like that.

The only other dev to get this type of bad PR onslaught and outrage is Bethesda.

But despite how bad it is for Bethesda sometimes they still weather the storm and their games sell well enough to keep going. It shows how important it is to have some type of a a dedicated fanbase.

Firewalk had no chance. A true collapse from top to bottom.

From the trailer alone I'd say that the new Speedball completely misses the vibes of the Speedball 2.

I mean where's ice cream?! Even the "HD" release from few years back got the ice cream at the end of the trailer. Though the music absolutely sucks in that and in the new trailer.

Now this is good music.

Will the upcoming Ys Oath in Felghana release on consoles have anything notable the current PC release lacks?

This joke ignores how the music is explained in universe as Gallica, your Fairy friend casting magic that lets you hear said music. So only our hero is hearing this
So it's her fault I have to hear that weird theme every single time I get into a fight? It's absolutely maddening and I've considered muting the music at least during the really dull parts where nothing's happening in dungeons.

I played and finished the JP switch version last year but I haven't played the PC port in a while so I might be misremembering but I think the additions on Switch (IDK if PS5 is 120fps or not) are the new portrait options, new VA options, and maybe the difficulty/turbo options. Don't think it has added content beyond that because I feel like Steam also has a few OST options. I'm going to replay it on Deck prior to getting the english Memoire on PS5 and Switch for sure so I'll hopefully have a better and concrete answer for you closer to launch.

It is kinda funny how opposite our tastes seem to be. That said, the thing I like about Metaphor, and which we don't see in big games that often, is how unapologetic it is about being crass and not having any chill in its art style, presentation and music too. I absolutely love what the game is going for, and even after having spend the better part of 100 hours on it, I still can't get enough of its OST.

But I also totally understand how the game is not everyone's cup of tea, and I love how Atlus can just make these weird, out there games (at least in its presentation). Of course a lot of other parts are more conservative, in particular the dungeon design, that is kinda the weak point of the game for me. I enjoyed combat too much for it to drag the game down, but it's also clear that they didn't put much focus in making things visually interesting and weird, in particular for the side quest dungeons.

Imagine hating on this

When you hear it 600,000 times because they were too cheap to make more than 1 song it gets grating.

To this day I can't hear anything from kelly clarkson because that 1 big song she had played 5-6 times a day every single day for a year at a place I was working at. I wanted to burn the place down.

I'd say Anthem, C77 or No Man Sky had similarly terrible launches PR-wise, but they were way more successful commercially so (at least in the latter two cases) it was worth for the companies to fix and improve them to the point where their present reputation is polar opposite to launch.
Concord is kind of unique in that it had no technical issues, and was competently made, but nobody simply cared about it and bought it.

So you're telling me that IF waited six whole months (after PS4/PS5/Switch) to release a PC version of Neptunia GameMaker Revolution, but the catch is that it's only on the Microsoft Store as a part of Xbox Play Anywhere. No beta test (Although to be fair, at least since moving to Unity, their games have been more stable), no advertising it anywhere until launch, and it apparently still has a lot of the issues that Neptunia Sisters vs Sisters had on PC. The framerate has been raised up to 60FPS on Xbox (proving they could target 60FPS on the PS5 if they wanted) but it doesn't feel smooth thanks to the FixedUpdate issue where character movement is fixed to update at 50Hz in the overworld.

I ain't touching this or attempting to backport any of the fixes my mod for SvS has, until this gets a Steam release. I genuinely don't know what they're smoking at this point, Ever since the EA executive got on board to run Compile Heart, everything has gone haywire:

Also got my hands on Red Dead Redemption on PC, and it's kind of crazy how despite having DLSS Framegen and FSR 3 (upscaling), they don't have the frame generation part of FSR 3. The game for some reason runs terribly on my gaming laptop, but gets close to locking to 60FPS on my Steam Deck.

There's also a certain launcher for playing Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero (Which just works without any AC workarounds), Genshin, and the other games on Linux and the Steam Deck. Sadly can't link that here, but you can look it up on GitHub. It definitely runs better than on Waydroid though.

Even a communist needs to eat and a roof over their heads, which costs money. I am just saying that their position kinda makes sense, unless they suddenly start talking up Epic as PC gaming saviour, Then they'd be complete idiots.
They are still idiots with their magic decentralized selling structure.

Waydroid is really good and easy to install. It's not emulation though but running Androidx86 in a container. Check GitHub - ryanrudolfoba/SteamOS-Waydroid-Installer: Script to easily install / uninstall Android via Waydroid on the Steam Deck running on SteamOS.

Thanks, Waydroid ended up being good enough for my purposes. I've no interest in the Hoyoverse games, but I wanted to get back to an old favorite. (Girls' Frontline) now that the 2nd game is starting BETA soon.

Waydroid was a bit buggy, but it could just be that GFL is an older game. Still managed to free up my tablet again for Youtube while i play comfy in bed on Deck, and for that it's a win! :cat-heart-blob:

I bought a Meta Quest 3S when it launched a few weeks ago and I like it for the most part. The one thing I'm not liking is Meta's handling of the game and app store. They allow developers to give out discount codes for their games in addition to having regular sales and stuff. The problem with their handling of it is that a developer could give out discount codes back to back and these discount codes can have different percentages of discounts. Like I bought Vail when a 70% off discount code was being given out and then the developers gave out a 90% off discount code like 3 days later. I bought Zero Calibur 2 during a normal sales event and then 2 days after the sale ended, the developers gave out a discount code for a deeper discount. Luckily I was able to refund it, but these refunds are limited to 5 in a 30 day window.

Saw some videos of Dragen Age Veilguard going around and jesus christ.

I can't wait for the culture war to move on 10 years from now, so we can retroactively acknowledge how bad some of these games were written without being lumped in with said culture warriors
