Yeah, it's hilarious. And it's not only that game, several others (frequently 4-5, in 14) are EGS games.
Either Humble is indeed selling a lot of EGS games (because of the small discount they provide), or they are full of shit. I'll go with the later. :grimacing-face:
Theyre full of shit
Last time they did build a bundle the games if that offer were top sellers
Theyre manipulating the top sellers i worry....

If anyone's still playing HITMAN 2 (and you should), there's new content up:

Too busy with Final Fantasy 9. I want to play more Hitman 2 😔

There are more content coming too

The game hasn't left my disk since launch (despite taking more than 1/5th of the space available) . :)

I'm not playing it frequently (I still haven't played that last location, the Bank), but at least, every week or so, I fired it up to complete the elusive targets, or randomly going through some of the content.

I really wish games on steam separated multiplayer and single player achievements. I played crackdown 3 on game pass and there are separate achievement totals for multiplayer and single player! so I was able to get all the achievements playing single player and didn't have to play multiplayer at all. Just finished DOOM last night and I want to go back and finish off collecting stuff but there are like 30 multiplayer only achievements and if I cant get 100% why even finish off the rest of the single player achievements :(

I know cheevos dont matter but I like to 100% a game when I enjoy the game.
I used to feel the same during my achievement "hunting" days, which thankfully didn't last more than a year because, quite frankly, fuck that shit. Last thing I need is to turn playing games into a chore. If you feel like you'll have fun getting the rest of the single player achievements in DOOM then by all means go for it. If anything I like how an incomplete achievement list act as somewhat of a diary of your particular experience with the game.

I remember finishing Red Dead Redemption on the PS3 and wanting to 100% it but feeling discouraged because no way in hell was I going to slog through the multiplayer to achieve that. I just ended up not caring about that and doing the rest of the single player trophies anyways because I still was enjoying playing the game, and I even went for bonus stuff that only counted for in game completion and not for trophies. I did the exact same thing with Black Flag too. If it ain't fun, it ain't worth doing ;)

If you still feel like you want that 100% but not to the point of doing everything required for it, there is always "alternative" solutions to that problem hint hint wink wink
After they address that they need to make single and multi separate installations, it's so annoying when you want to install a game that is 30+ gigs to just play single or multi. Hard disk space is getting out of hand...
Now that's the kind of segregation I can get behind! It would be a very useful feature, especially with huge games.
PVVZ GW3 IS NOW IN EARLY ACCESS TODAY

Official launch is October 18th

If only this had a good single player campaign. Damn EA

Also, let us select what languages we want installed. By all means have them on the media/downloader/installer but don't make me install gigs of media i'll never watch or listen to. Audio & Video media are the biggest space hogs in most installations and if i'm going to delete the unused ones anyway i might as well not install them in the first place.

Too many games, also when will SE rerelease their DQ games again? Actually we didn't even get 1-3 did we like they did in Japan on the PS4 and 3DS.

A DQ3 remake in the next 4 years and assuming that it releases on PS4 and N/S at the same time, then there likely will also be a PC version and it will not be missing as much content compared to DQXI S.

DQ games take me a while to beat so I'm working my way through DQ IV on my 3DS right now.

As of now their are only 3 DQ games on Steam, their are two mainline DQ games on Windows PCs.

I don't know how good the mobile versions of the DQ games are but seeing how the FF games on Steam (well some of them) and Chrono Trigger are based of the mobile version (but with a little bit of work done on them). FF likely got that treatment since it would sell decently? CT got that treatment to see if people would be interested, which would explain why SE tried to fix it since they potentially might port that to other systems as well/it's part of that online back catalogue that they mentioned about doing where you will be able to play all of their games in one place.

By the way I think DQ and SMT are both cool series that people should try. DQ being a very simple intro to JRPGs in a way and SMT being one of the more "hardcore" JRPG series out there. They can be more challenging and unforgiving then some other JRPGs. The older SMT stuff has not held up that well but they still have a cool setting though
The mobile versions are actually great! And this is coming from someone who barely plays anything on mobile. I even think that they're the definitive way to experience the first 6 entries in the series. I finished 1-4 on mobile and only have 5 and 6 to get through on there. Dragon Quest is simply amazing. I fell in love with it ever since I played Dragon Quest VIII on the PS2 back in 2006, and I couldn't believe it when they announced XI for Steam. What a game XI turned out to be, easily one of the best games I've ever played in my life.

Am I the only one here who has completed all Gears games so far (with the exception of 5, gonna play that soon), including Judgement?

All of them except judgment personally.
I'll play Gears 5 eventually I'm sure whenever I happen to be using game pass down the line

Eh, my jam had green moisture on it the other day. Scalped at a safe depth and eat it.
I have diabetes, you don’t fuck with my urgency sugar intake :cat-pizza-blob:
You're braver than I. I threw out an imported sweet that I asked a family member to bring with them on the way back home, one that I had waited months for, because I messed up and forgot to close it properly after opening it only once. Now that I remembered I'm starting to feel kinda sad over it
Moon: Remix Adventure RPG

it's an inspiration for Undertale (which I kinda understand)

but holy moly why
Thanks for the admittedly indirect heads up. Seems like my kind of game so I'll keep an eye on it.
It would be best to finish XC1 first before playing XC2.
What about XCX? Is it also recommended to play before 2?
Daily check to see if Anno 1800 is on Uplay+... nope.
Poor Ubi, those damn technical issues :sweaty-blob:
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't they also pull their games for that super duper mega sale due to technical issues? Seems like poor Ubisoft just can't catch a break

Endless Space 2: Awakening ntroduces the Nakalim playable Major faction as well as the Academy Empire. You will now be able to interact and negotiate directly with Isyander. As his grand plan begins to unfold and rumors of the Lost begin to circulate, the Academy is set to take a more active role in the future of the galaxy.

ESO still doesn’t allow for cross-platform login right?

So what releases are you looking at picking up for the rest of the year?

Mine are

  • Death Stranding
  • Doom Eternal
  • Indivisible
  • Hades when it comes to Steam
Hope I have enough budget to pick up some stuff that already released like Fire Emblem, Remnant or Planetfall, too. Also having an eye on Blasphemous but I need to try the demo first. In my experience indies more often then not don't get the stamina management feeling right when they go for a souls-like.

I am lukewarm on Pokemon. I love Pokemon but this one isn't really doing it for me despite things not looking bad imo.

Also thinking about Breakpoint but probably won't have the money for it. Of course there is uPlay+ but this seems like a game you come back to from time to time and I don't know if I want a subscription for that. Would pressure me too much into having to play to get mah value™

Noita this month, Bum-bo in November. Jenny LeClue whenever it is released.

The one which I will most certainly buy is Bum-bo. For the other two, I will first take a closer look at the reviews.

That was stupid but there isn't a large group of fans spouting this bullshit all over like other vocal fan groups.
Sony fanboys are more passive aggresive than vocal, which in my book is worse.

Honestly the only games I might pick up on release day this year are Commandos 2 remaster and Desperados 3. There's still a million games from earlier this year that are interesting and I want to try out but haven't the time nor the money... this was a pretty insane year and it's still far from over.

I envy you.

I had to play through 1 and it was horrible. Horrible!
The grey color palette alone was terrible, but the cover system... bleargh :blobxorcism:

My opinion as well. Perhaps I'm used to cover systems now, but at that time, sitting safe behind cover while your health was regenerating felt like cheating. I also strongly disliked the color palette and arena-like level design filled with chest-high walls.

  • Code Vein
  • Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition
  • Trails of Cold Steel III (maybe)
  • Pokemon Sword
  • Sengoku Rance (if MG ever gets out of payment processors hell)

Those are the "sure" ones, there are probably more impulse purchases I'll make or something I forgot though.

edit: forgot Doraemon Story of Seasons and YU-NO

Gears 5 because it's on gamepass and my cheap sub is still up.

Aside from that, I had to look at what was coming this year to remember them all ( and it feels like i missed a ton of games ) and it looks like the only thing i might pickup day1 is Code Vein. I haven't looked much into the game aside from a video here and there. People that played the demo say it's trash, others say it's decent, so who the fuck knows.

There are other games that i would be inclined to play, but not day1, like river city girls, looks good but i find it too expensive honestly, so I'll wait for a sale next year or something. And that goes for all the other games that are not Code Vein I guess.

So I watched aliitle YouTube about dragon quest, but not too much to spoil anything, but one thing surprised me, someone mentioned it was linear? Definitely not something I want from my massive RPGs.
