It's really annoying when publishers feed us this kind of bullshit expecting we're actually dumb enough to believe it. Unreal.

Metal Gear as in the MSX version?

Sure why the hell not. Hopefully we can get the entire franchise eventually.
It says Metal Gear Solid so it's the playstation games.

I seriously need MS to make another Evil Within. They were far from perfect, but I really liked them.
That makes 2 of us.

There was some talk about Baldur's Gate 2 recently.
As always somebody from GOG.com is reading and there is now a D&D sale on there.
Unfortunately Planescape is missing, but NWN2, BG 1, BG2 enchanced are all only ~9€ each.

Might pick up IWD2 as its not on STEAM

Another game coming with Ray Tracing + DLSS 2.1 support for the GTX 30 Series

Owners of the previous game will get Infinite for free, by the way. Also, it's a one-man dev team, ridiculous.
From here on out, I will no longer be developing Bright Memory: Episode 1 any further, but I plan on making regular “experimental” additions of various new features, etc., which players will be able to try out. Once development of Bright Memory: Infinite is complete, it will be distributed as a separate game, but those who have already purchased Bright Memory: Episode 1 will receive a special “100% off” discount coupon for Bright Memory: Infinite prior to its release.

I think it started as a one-man team but it's now bigger.
Regardless, looking forward to Infinite. Episode 1 was basically my RTX and DLSS showcase game too, lol.

According to an update posted by a developer in my activity feed, Steam will have a Tokyo Game Show 2020 event page, that should be accompanied by a sale on some games between 10AM on September 24th through to 10AM on September 28th (Pacific Time).

It says Metal Gear Solid so it's the playstation games.
The leaker said Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid 1+2. Per the thread:
He clarified in the thread it's actual Metal Gear, Metal Gear Solid, and Metal Gear Solid 2, but does not know if it's a bundle or sold individually.
I just realized MS somewhat killed off Stadia. :p Bethesda and Ubisoft are Stadias 2 biggest supporters.
Hitting a corpse with a stick isn't killing anything.

I'm not really someone who looks too much into things, but Jesus.
Thing is that by buying SEGA there are a lot of side things too like the casinos and hotels and I don't think MS is willing to pay the price of a complete conglomerate just for the gaming side.

I have my reasons to doubt SEGA is a company that will join the 1P line-up

By the way, for those who missed the news, Mike Fischer and Jean-Baptiste Kempf joined Shadow, the former as CEO, the later as CTO.
Mike has worked previously at companies like Sega, Microsoft (Head of US marketing at Xbox), Square Enix America (CEO) and Epic Games (Head of Publishing).

And our new CTO, Jean-Baptiste Kempf, was the lead developer of VLC media player, the successful open-source video player software with billions of downloads.
I fundamentally distrust both that company (3rd CEO in two years), as well as Mike Fischer himself based on his company history. I mean, going from Microsoft, to Square, to Epic, all of them having implemented fairly fundamentally sleazy and anti-consumer policies in recent memory... I think it is reasonable to be wary of him based on how high his positions at those companies were.

That being said, Jean-Baptiste is another story. He's been a satlward proponent of open-source since forever and one of his priorities is to create a Linux client as well as materializing 4:4:4 encoding/decoding out of thin air.

I just hope the company won't go under nor implement something super shady in the meantime because that guy could be a potential walking disaster.

I see it now, see we bombed on Steam because... they didn't advertise us... didn't buy us streamers... we're going back to epic for out next release.

Devs: We bombed on steam can you give us another deal? We still owe you a heap of cash from the last game as it bombed here as well.
Timmy: Who are you again?

The guys from Rebel Galaxy Outlaw were shitheads. Originally, they announced a 2 year, or a 1 year and a half exclusivity (but later backtracked).
All in indeed.
And that patronizing explanation for the deal, as if they were leading a social movement against a tyrannical entity.

---

Anyway, there are worse cases, in terms of delays.

I mean the exclusivity deal for Shakedown Hawaii is long gone, and the developer has since preferred to release the game on every platform under the sun, including "dead" platforms (seriously, releasing on the Wii? and Wii U?), instead of launching the game on Steam.

Don't sleep on Record of Lodoss War-Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth- (from the guys behind games like Touhou Luna Nights, and Pharaoh Rebirth+).
The game is shaping up to be awesome, for fans of the Castlevania series.

And, the development seems to be going at a good pace now, with stages 3 and 4 announced to be part of November's update (that should place the game close to complete by then).
Here's a trailer for stage 3:

The game is currently on sale. The price will significantly increase when it gets out of early access, so if you planing to buy the game, you might consider doing so while it's in early access, and save some €.

I've been playong Shadow of Tom Braider and it's.. pretty good? I've heard that the heavy focus on exploration and tombs with the lack of combat are some of the main criticisms. But for me, it's probably the best modern Tom Braider. I probably need to finish it first though. The game also looks stunning.

Anyway, I was kinda stuck in finding the way to a certain treasure chest earlier, so I looked up on a YT video. They play on PS4, and somehow they died while traversing the cliff. And guess what, it took more than a full minute to respawn. I was curious and tried to replicate the death, and it only takes 2 seconds on a HDD. To think that I died a lot in this game due to traversal and traps is just.. wow, I can't imagine how can people put up with that for a whole generation.

They are still working on the Steam release.
Come on, the game is done on the PC, he only needs to add the Steamworks features. He told me months ago he was doing so, and the game would be out soon.
But, instead of doing so, he instead worked on releasing the game for platforms like the Wii, and Wii U (seriously, how many people are still using these consoles, and did not purchase any platform where the game is already available, like the Switch?), instead of releasing the game on Steam.

It really seems he isn't really all that interested in people buying his game on Steam. He knows plenty of people are waiting for it, and waited a year to get the game on Steam (he acknowledged so, since he receives several emails about the Steam release all the time), but instead of releasing the game as soon as possible, he instead worked on porting the game to "dead" consoles.

He has a big fascination for older devices like Wii and Wii U, seems like it's simply out of his pure personal interest he made those version and he said if he could port it to PSP he would, so I guess making deals for those deviced took some time.

It totally makes sense that, instead of releasing the game on one of the strongest platforms sales-wise for his previous game, to instead take months working on versions for consoles that barely anyone will play on.

That just makes it more clear that, at best, he got his money already, and isn't particularly interested in releasing the game on Steam, or at worse it's an insanely crappy move, to further annoy people who didn't buy his game on the EGS.

And yeah, I know he likes old consoles (is the Wii U, a console not even Nintendo fans like, an old "classic" console anyway?). I followed his work, and I did pre-order his first game directly from him well before it launched, and I followed closely this second game as well (up until the point it went EGS exclusive). And, I did email him after the exclusivity period has ended.
Still, I clearly don't think this further delay, and prioritizing these other platforms is an "innocent" mistake out of liking old platforms, and more of a dick move, frankly.

The nostalgia for that show is hitting me :).

That's quite the amazing work from what I can say, but how's the localization going?

Has it ever happened to you that you activate a Humble Bundle gift link but the email containing the link/gift never arrives? That just happened to me and it sucks because I don't think I have a 100% reliable way to prove I activated the gift link, i didn't made that purchase. Now waiting for support, which may take 3 days according to the FAQ.
Yep. Humble asked me to contact the person that gave me the gift to make them go through all the process. Gift link says it already redeemed and the recovery process only resulted in them sending me an email with a link to all the games I've redeemed, where the gift never shows up.

Basically system ate my gift and that was the end of that.

The early access version already has English since the very first version, PLAYISM publishes the game (the trailer was made for the Tokyo Game Show, that's why it's in Japanese). :)

I really can't recommend it enough. It plays soooooo good. Plus, lovely pixel-art graphics, catchy soundtrack, some clever gameplay ideas (even including a spin in Ikaruga's light/dark mechanics), this is the probably the closest I've played to a "metroidvania" Castlevania game recently (yeah, Bloodstained included).
If I ran Konami, I would hire these guys to take over the Castlevania series. They really know the genre.

Ffffffffffffffffffffine I'll break my "no early access" motto considering it's probably very close to 1.0 and Team Ladybug deserves it.

Not gonna play it until 1.0 anyways but I don't wanna deal with price increases with the way my economy is rn:steam_cleanseal:

Since stages 3 and 4 only come out in November, and only the update after that will probably bring the early access period to a close, you will probably have at least one more chance to buy it on sale, during early access. ;)

And yeah, I'm usually like you (if I buy an EA game, it's to support the developers, but I usually wait until 1.0 is out), but in this case I ended up playing it because I like their games, and it was so good I finished the available content. :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:

If you do give it a go (even if it's just for a few minutes), do post your impressions.

I like their previous games, but I think this one will end up being their best so far. (y)
