I mean part of game journalism is networking and contacts unless youre at a larger organization (like pcgamer, or ign, etc). Unless youre going like youtuber, then, i've no idea.

Well, I write about games a lot, but it doesn't pay, unless :
- You are well connected and can write on big enough websites / magazines to get paid
- You have absolutely no shame and can do marketing work instead of journalist work, saying games are great and being paid to make Twitch streams and Youtube videos about shitty games that pays a lot (hello, did you heard about Raid Shadow Legend ?). But it often means interacting with people.
- Make good content on Twitch, but it means interacting with people, too.
BUT : being well connected is something that can be built. If you can write / make videos / podcast / whatever, if you can be good at it, interesting, bringing something different... being noticed can happen.
The only thing for SURE : if you don't write, if you don't create, no one will notice you, either the audience or the employers. So why not try ?
After the news that Easy Anti-cheat will now be compatible with Linux I sat and thought about the impressive developments that PC gaming has experienced after its supposed 'death' in the 00s. Just think about this: In a few months we will be playing Halo, Uncharted, Monster Hunter and Elden Ring on a Linux PC handheld. It's nothing short of crazy. It is almost unbelievable how much the platform has evolved, improved and expanded over the last few years. The indie boom, classic genres coming back with a vengeance, japanese studios supporting the platform en masse, Microsoft releasing on PC, Sony releasing on PC, Linux becoming a viable option for PC gaming... It's all just incredible.
if so, fingers crossed that there's only a Sega copyright on the reveal trailer like there was for the 2017 teaser. decent chance that it's only a timed Switch exclusive in that caseWill we finally get news on Bayo 3?

What I thought was a data back-up by Ighor July could be the state of the database now.
Whenever I thought I had the latest data snapshot and I was comparing it to Ighor's data snapshot, I might have been comparing my data snapshot from September 13 (as it was seen from Europe) to the current state of the database (as it is seen from South Asia). Very weird if true.
Basically, 15 entries were deleted from the database, and a few real game names were replaced by code names after the leak.
Actually, the answer seems obvious for Dolphin and Super Mario. The dude posted a link to query these two appIDs in his original blog post:
If you replace Nvidia's endpoint with Ighor's backup, you get a chance to query the database, and the result is empty for these two specific appIDs.

So many great looking games coming out. Impossible to keep up. (But I'll try!)

Your job is essensially the hard part, the whole recreating the world part.

Quick Actraiser Renaissance impressions after about an hour of gameplay:
-The Fillmore remix is insanely good. I just sat at the beginning of the first level for a few minutes listening to it.
-The graphics have kind of a 90s prerendered look that is feels kinda cheap, but is also charming.
-The city building aspect is a lot larger in scope compared to the original. There are quests and tower defense gameplay which involves forts and a hero unit.
-To destroy a monster's lair, you have to take your avatar inside them and destroy a core. I'm not too keen on these right now since they mostly involve walking a few feet and hitting the core, but they might be expanded upon later.
I've played about an hour and am still in the building aspect for the first part of Fillmore, whereas I can completely finish the SNES version in 2-3 hours. I don't think it renders the original irrelevant, but it's an interesting spin that tries to do new things.

My god, this seems so familiar, but I cannot recall how or where I would have played it. Maybe I played the In Space? I feel like I remember this back from the Shockwave days, which I also sorta forgot about haha.
