Their old dog, Tess, you could throw a ball then shout left or right telling her which side of the garden to run down bringing it back to you.

Nice. Ours were never trained that well.
The two dogs and the two cats would be asleep next to each other and you could say "Where's the cats?" and the lab would go bounding up and down the garden looking for intruders and the collie would look at the cats, look at you then settle back down and go back to sleep.
When my sister had a new kitten the collie would follow it around the garden and bark to alert you if the kitten was looking to go through the fence or off the lawn. bless. Just picked that up too, not trained to do it at all.

My cat obviously suffer from pica, but further than that he took a liking to chewing on the cables under my desk.
Tried duct taping them together behind it but it took him maybe one evening to go nuke the tape.

I have to find a fucking wooden plank to put between the desk and the cable and pray :disapproval-blob:
