Well, we do have an OT for it.

But playing fast and loose with the rules is a part of Meta's ethos, so post away! :dana_wink:

I would say they are different cases. Healer is a porn show about revenge, while Goblin Slayer is an fantasy show with rape. I doubt people would have taken Healer seriously from first glance (at least I didn't).

i guess i spoke too soon :upside-down-face:
The outrage came with Ep 2 :grimacing-face:
I guess there is cultural difference, as I read some threads on Japanese and local forums, nearly every person is treating it as porn and saying "give me more".

To be fair, I think everyone can agree that this show is problematic. But imo, outrage towards it is not necessarily. It is written as porn, treated as porn and aiming at porn lovers. It is bound to be a problematic show. Any sorts of outrage is making it a show worthy of public critics.

If you ask me, Goblin Slayer is a story about dealing with PTSD and how having a support system (friends and family) is absolutely essential in order to move on with life. It's kind of regrettable that "goblin rape" is all people will remember about the show.

Same goes with that "adventuring with my mom" show, I'd say.

Yeah. I would say the question of "whether the goblin reproduction setting is necessary" is arguable, but solely focusing on one element and overlooking the whole show is certainly regrettable and unfortunate.

Watched the first 3 eps of BACK ARROW.

This is exactly my jam :steam_pigblanket:

Lots of fun, cool designs, good to great action and entertaining mash-up of lots of things. we have summon-able magic-mechs powered by CONVICTION and cowboy, imperial japan/china and medieval europe countries all mashed together in the same world.
Very entertaining and also gives me a somewhat old-school feel.

It also has a LiSA opening

And a glorious title drop

Anyone watching Pui Pui Molcar? This show is crazily popular in many places now.

I checked reddit and found that in the west there are so few people watching Pui Pui Molcar. WTF? It is like a social phenomenon here and in Japan. Nearly all of my friends irl are watching it. :astonished-face:

I guess no streaming service has picked up the show?

To be honest, I'm only aware of it because some of the vtubers I followed on Twitter are following the Pui Pui official Twitter account. Looks funny though, but I'll probably wait until the season finishes before binging it (also no western streaming service has picked it up so far, afaik).

It's pretty fun:cat-heart-blob:

Only 3 minutes per episode, so you will be able to binge it within an hour.

I haven't even started to read the article when my first thought was "Terraformars will definitely get a mention". And I was right.

On the positive side, Carole and Tuesday is a great anime everyone should watch. Speaking of which, the western release of the blu-rays is still nowhere in sight (I'm not going to pay 70K yen for the JP release).
Anime is lame

I've read somewhere that DomeKano can be categorised as something like a daytime soap opera, but with all the sex scenes out in the open.

Started watching So I'm a Spider, So What? and caught up. Lotsa fun.

The Ending is genius

Great opening too, but it's a bit busy-looking with all the big text

I am watching Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion lately. It is targeting at children but I enjoy the show a lot. The mecha are cool looking and story is very fast-paced while still maintaining a good balance of drama and character development. It also touches on Japanese geography and local railway history, so it serves as a show providing some extra knowledge and cultural education for the kids.
