I've just spotted the Human Head Studio closure tweet. What the deuce?!
So Rune II was such a passion project for the studio that they closed down and started again under a new name as soon as it was out of the door? That smells really dodgy and seems quite a shitty thing to do.

I have spent 19 hours on you and STILL, I'm not even 1/3 through the way done.
I don't want to admit this, but it is actually more taxing to play a fully 3D, FPS with a lot of verticality compared to my usual 2D rogue-like/rogue-lite.
On the one hand, this is a GREAT game. On the other hand, I'm frustrated as fuck by it.

Bethesda won. Remember the shenanigans around Prey and the suspected takeover attempt by Bethesda? Yet Human Head are calling them "Friends" now and have willingly gone to them. What a world.They wanted the free money, they got the free money. Why continue to support a game?

although - you might have trouble refunding it since apparently it takes into account playtime on origin as a basis for refunds

I don't have any problem with Origin achievement (would prefer Steam cheevos though).
I just want to be able to play the game anytime I want. Relying on a subscription makes me just anxious really.
Like, Im currently playing NFH Heat and Payback, not because I really want, but because I subbed to 1 month of Premier and want to play them as much as I can so I get my moneys for that month worth.
Played about 1.5 hours on Premier (Fallen Order) and I really like the game, so I wont' refund it.
I would have bought FO sooner if it didn't have such a shitty regional pricing, but the game seems to be really good and long. I love narrative story driven SP games, so FO is right up my alley.
I'm in the same situation. I was totally into getting the game when on sale because sure, it looked nice but EA and stuff. But now I'm reading some of the most critical voices towards EA express high praises for this game and I'm so tempted to pull the trigger and get it. I want it on Steam and not through Origin Access though, so that price is pretty prohibitive... even more with RDR2 so close behind.
Download speed as well. My download speed is limited to 100Mbit/sec = 12MB/s. But at least I don't have a download limit anymore; my previous ISP has a 200GB monthly limit, unless you take the most expensive subscription (which costs twice the price).
i don't mind the look, and i'll wait for it. it's day one whenever it releases for me

Just installed my new M.2 ssd but now my pc wont boot. It seems like it doesnt see the correct (origional) drive to boot from. I can get into the Bios and if i select the correct drive with the OS it just fails as if there is no MBR. I can see the new drive listed in the boot list but other than that i cant get into windows. If i uninstall the new M.2 drive it boots fine.
Any thoughts?
EDIT - never mind, got it working.

What is your motherboard model exactly and what is the SSD model exactly?
My guess is that your boot order has been changed.
What is the CSM/Legacy support setting of your MB? Is UEFI only, Dual or Legacy only?
If you have a Windows installation USB (you can create one) there is a way to repair the MBR. I had an MBR issue a few years ago when I was dual booting Linux and Windows and I deleted the Linux partition. Google information on how to repair MBR with Windows installation media.

I tried it in another slot and it works! Reading my Mobo manual it looks like some of the slots conflict with the sata drive slots? and i have 4 other drives mounted ( i know, i like to never delete a game, i have a problem). So i guess it was interfering with my primary drive.
Stuck it in another slot and it boots and i can format it and get cracking on downloading Star Wars. Woo.
Nice. Always double check the manual of your MB and look for BIOs (UEFI firmware set up now I guess) settings and see if there are any jumper settings. Also always Double check if its an NVMe (Pci 3.0 x4) drive or m.2 drive that uses SATA 3.0 signal.
Speaking of nvme drives, I think I've settled on an addlink S70 1TB. Due to availability and pricing it was between that, a Crucial P1, WD Blue 3D or ADATA SX6000/SX8200* (*most expensive of the bunch). I know there are other options, Samsung, Intel, Corsair, etc. but those carry a premium due to imports and vat and the like. This group is the one I narrowed down to which are available at around the same price.

It sounds good. What is your current drive? Are you adding space or will this be a new boot drive?
The one I ended up getting was a Sabrent 2TB Rocket M.2 2280 but it was a bit of an impulse buy as it was on a big sale (50% off).
I have an old 850 evo as my current OS drive. A WD blue 2TB mechanical as my general drive and another Seagate as backup (I really don't have much critical work to back up, just pictures and documents which are also on the cloud).
I'm thinking of simplifying by retiring the Seagate, maybe even moving on the 850 to another PC and a fresh install on the NVME as my OS drive. I'd prefer fresh to avoid the hassle of finding out how to clone it, but I'm undecided on that. Fresh could also end up being a hassle because I remember installing some drivers (particuarly Realtek audio) was a nightmare when I did this build a couple of years ago.
Sounds nice. I'd love a 2TB but it's outside my budget atm. From what I understand, the Sabrent and addlink s70 are very comparable so that gives me hope.
I hate in Steam that you cannot easily select amount of money from different sources when paying. In the end it locks the buying process for few hours since you just tried to make it work. No money for them or to Microsoft then for now.

Ya I have noticed that I have seen some Epic Game Store tweets and those usually talk about use code blah blah.
I can understand why such a system would exist but sometimes it just feels like it gets a used.
Anyway for me if Epic just did skins for games instead of buying exclusity for then that would work for me.
I think something sort of similar happened with FFXV. It was on multiple stores and the main difference was the pre-order stuff you got depending on the store you bought it from.

I'm weak so i've just put in 2 hours on Fallen Order and didn't even notice. It's been a while since a game has captivated me like that. I still need to work out how to get the DS4 prompts to show up, if it's even possible.
Looks great as it should because it defaulted to Epic for everything, which surprised me tbh.

If it has native support for DS4 then you just need to disable the steam controller input setting. (Right click and settings and controller options i think) I wish Steam would recognise this automatically to be honest.

edit: Nope. Because the game has native support for DS4 i had to disable DS4 support in Big Picture Mode and it works but i'm sure there's a more elegant way to do this.
edit: Re-enabled DS4 in BPM and disabled BPM overlay on the game and Nope. I might just launch through Origin if Steam is going to be this much of a pain in the arse. Someone, somewhere must know the Mystical Option-Combo for DS4 icons in games though Steam!

I know some people have been working on a fan translation of the first game (they have been for a while), but I'm not sure if there's going to be official translations of these titles.
It's something I would like to know as well.
Maybe The Queen, who has mentioned the series before, may know about it?
