So according to Gematsu, Wolf Among Us 2 is a timed Epic exclusive, thought it was a full exclusive for some odd reason.

All is good now.

Is it a episodic release?

At this point why won't MS just make the xbox an all purpose PC? Is it because it would be hard to do support if they allow installing another OS?

They could even sell xbox live cloud space/subscription for general back up purposes (photos, blah blah), and they can have an Apple Mac desktop computer equivalent.

Anyway, Steam store best store confirmed.

I think I remember Gears 5 had a shitty price but they applied region pricing after, I could be dreaming that though.

Don't know about you guys but I dig the new Xbox look.

Yeah I like it a lot too, it looks like a slick mini-itx case I'd want for a PC.

That said, what was in their mind when they decided on the name? Mid-gen consoles were confusing enough for the general public and now you launch a console with a name that sounds exactly like the previous console? Also, you announce that right in the middle of holiday shopping? You don't care about selling One S/X for Christmas? I know, it'll have full backward compatibility and stuff but the general public will just see that a new XBOX console is releasing next year so no sense in spending all that money for one now. Not sure what their strategy is with this new console.

I was sure Disco Elysium was gonna get robbed at the TGA but I'm suprised that it got the awards it deserves.

Geez the Austrian-Swiss rivalry has just gone too far with that pricing. Why do you hate us :blobweary:

49 CHF ? And 29.99 usd only ? WHAT THE FUCK is up with our pricing. That price is even more stupid than Octopath Traveler's Steam price.

Good thing it's on gamepass :steam_pigblanket:

They never lowered the price for some countries like Argentina and Tactics is even worse there.

Everyone either knows new consoles are coming next year or doesn't watch TGA. And if you're buying an Xbox now it's probably because there's a megacheap deal while the new models will be way above that price. Also my guess is that Series X is only the overarching name for every Xbox from now on while the (supposedly) two versions and everything coming later will get additional extra names.

Also, I'm more than happy that the GOTY won four awards.
For PC user the new Xbox looks like a compact mini ITX PC.

For console user though, they've used to horizontal design.

Not in Europe. Microsoft is using console prices for the pc version as well here, meaning all their AAA games will probably be €69.99 (=78.20 US$) . Since I won't spend a single cent on their locked down encrypted Windows Store "apps", I guess I'll wait until their games are 70% off on Steam. If that ever happens of course.

So the 12 free demos end at 12am Dec 14th PST? Bc I'd like to try Carrion but of course I didn't have a chance last night, too busy begging for scraps from Gaben and failing.

I did make a purchase, perhaps my last of the year, LiS2 for...... PS4. :/ I'm starting to set myself up for a very scaled back lifestyle in terms of space and while I could fit in a laptop and 24inch tv +ps4, dual 20 and 24 inch monitors and full tower case with KB+M+Speakers+other things isn't going to fly.

I had to google the new console. Are they really naming it Xbox Series X? They must be trolling their userbase, there's no way these consoles could be named like this by mistake.

So good to see that TWAU2 is still happening.

That Fast and Furious game looks hilariously bad.

Anyway, all you married folks, how do you fit gaming time into your marriage? For example, that Shinobi dude always posts about the games he plays on twitter and he goes through them at a rate like it's a full time job, yet he's married and has 3 kids... I would've gotten a divorce letter a long time ago if I put even a fraction of that time into gaming. So how do you guys juggle this?

Yeah the Fast and Furious game looked like one of those AA movie tie in games from the PS3/360 days!

My kids are 6 and 3, and up until recently (like the past couple weeks) my gaming time has only been after they're in bed. We hardly watch TV anymore so my wife doesn't mind this method of unwinding from the stresses of the day. Occasionally we'll go out or do something else on the weekends, but most days that's how I get games in.

The recent change is that I've started to allow them to play they Switch, so we'll play some Mario Kart or Smash Bros in the evening. Well, the older one and I will play on a team, we give the younger one a fake RC-car controller and tell her that one of the CPU players is her. I'm also giving them Let's Go Pikachu for Christmas since they're nuts about Pokemon right now.

Naming wise, Sony is the best. PS > PS2 > PS3 > PS4 > PS5 shows clear progression between generation.

Nintendo name is confusing but it's just a variation of each generation.

Microsoft if the worse. Xbox > Xbox 360 > Xbox One > Xbox Series X

That's what I do (and it's never more than 45-60 minutes because I get up for work very early). But what if the wife complains that you should be spending that time with her?

Wait, there's going to be a Haven demo? I'm pretty interested in that one.

Microsoft if the worse. Xbox > Xbox 360 > Xbox One > Xbox Series X

Don't forget the Xbox One X which is the one more likely to cause confusion.

We've come to an understanding about that. I asked her if she minds if I'm playing games in that time, and she asked me back if I mind that she reads or paints her nails while I play games. I said no, she said "Well there you go".

It's the communication that's the key. If she wants to do something else, we can do that. It helps that I'm never hung up on playing the newest releases, I'm mostly working my way through my backlog. There will always be another day to play games.

So what was actually announced? reading through the announcements and I can't tell if anything worthwhile was announced, just some indie trash? Where was the HL Gimmick thing? Does Valve even work paste 5pm?

It's even worse: Xbox > Xbox 360 > Xbox One > Xbox One S > Xbox One X > Xbox Series X

Nintendo got it incredibly wrong with the Wii U, but Xbox takes it to a completely new level of awfulness haha.

Reminds me of the Need for Speed series, with the repeated titles and reverse numbering:
