Thanks for the wonderful thread @lashman!
:steam_pigblanket:

Started playing Life is Strange 2 and wow such a step up from the first one! It looks fantastic! But man I really need retrain my brain haha, all I do is chase collectibles and do savescumming when I'm not happy with a choice, completely destroys the flow haha, also that check points are like hours apart.
enjoy! :)

It makes a lot of sense: getting a lot of positive responses from actual people definitely makes for a better pitch, especially when dealing with suits who only care about numbers...
indeed ... here's hoping it happens

Finished Doom Eternal. It was really good, but I feel the game threw too many demons at me at times. Felt super stressfull at times. I also don't particularly like that there's no team deathmatch or the regular modes in MP.

8.8/10 from me.

Yeah, I tried the Battlemode once after finishing the game and didn't enjoy it. Nor it did it seem very well balanced. Went against two Marauders & and all they pretty much did was run around summoning demons, using some "deny loot drop" skill and hiding behind blue barriers. Maybe I'm not aware of it, but I feel like there should be a cap on how many demons a player can summon in a single round. To stop players from turtling and just summoning demons.

Also, screw you Platinum What a long con for an April Fools joke! :blobclosecry:

This is the Dark Souls of something...
Looks interesting enough but hopefully they can smooth out some of those jerky animations.
EDIT: Actually, maybe jerky isn't the best word for it. There's just something weird about them though, the speed maybe?

Ehi lashman, check the latest patch for M&B:

Some of the crashes from older saves are fixed and these saves can be used again. (especially caused by fencing stolen goods & rival gang leader quests).

Maybe that's what can save your playthrough? o.o

I like the Legendary Moonlight Sculptor I have been reading the webtoon for some time now (and even read some of the LN as well), I found out that season 3 has been out since October (so for about 2 years there were no new episodes of the webtoon) and ya... they changed artist yet again.

So now he looks even more like a generic manga MC. He sort of already looked generic in season 2 but at least he looked older compared to season 1 but now in season 3 he looks even younger for some reason.

why do they do this!!!!!!!!!

oh and I finally figured out how to set up PS2 games on Steam individually. The only down side might be how to quit out of them.

If you're using BPM, you can quit the game directly from Steam Overlay.

I don't have it set up that way since I just launch everything through the regular Steam overlay, even when I am using a controller to play games.
It would be nice to bring up BPM overlay when I didn't launch Steam that way.

What controller do you use? If you map the ESC keypress you should be able to quit PCSX2 directly as long as you used the --nogui flag when setting up your shortcut in the Steam client.

And it works? :dana_think:
it launches the game but it doesn't close when I hit esc on my keyboard

I think I will just keep reading the webtoon and eventually try to get back into the LN. I think I was at Vol 2 in the LN. I got to the part where Weed knows Lion Roar already and has meet the Merchant (Mapan) dude and is now travelling with him.

I mean...
I'll probably get hate for this from someone but I really hated the first one and I love roguelikes/roguelites hopefully they improve the mechanics
I bought it way back when since I thought it was an interesting concept but could never get into it.
Really difficult and I never got the feeling of making any progression. And the platforming felt fiddly with bullet hell enemies all over the place.

Not for me, that's for sure.

I beat it on the second try. That's just how I am. Born like this.
I tanked the shit out of him with all the blue mask charms and won on the last mask left. Top strategy: max your health out, then button mash like it's Street Fighter.
Sounds exactly like how I roll in souls.... exactly like that!
I actually tried that blue tank strategy and failed miserably! Then I've read somewhere about a build that focuses on quick healing and being able to move while healing. I was very skeptical of it but I had nothing to lose so I tried it. It ended up making that fight so much easier that I kinda felt dirty about it afterwards

I'm 6 hours into Half-life: Alyx and so far... it's kind of disappointing. It looks nicer and is much more polished than 95% of VR games, but it feels a bit shallow after the initial glamour fades and you're left with something that is an FPS that isn't a very good FPS.

The guns and combat feel great, but there's incredibly little of it, and you are always worried about ammo. I've searched and scrimped and conserved ammo left and right and still am usually low for at least 1 gun on normal, meanwhile I've left probably 20 syringes and untouched medbays behind. Some enemies you end up just walking around and not dealing with (armored headcrabs are so terribly dumb) because it's not worth the ammo.

The physics are fun except... you can only use them for sandbox stuff (which gets old after a bit), or distracting Barnacles or setting off Trip Wires, both of which you did in HL2. You lose from HL2 the ability to use physics stuff in combat (you can deflect / block some attacks with some objects but can't do any damage), and as far as I've seen none of the physics matters at all in action or really in the world at large.

If Doom Eternal was DMC wrapped in FPS controls, HL:A is definitely some kind of RE game wrapped in a Half-life skin, and to me at least it's worse for it. Just add more combine enemies to create more interesting fights and give me some goddamn ammo, I don't know why TWO major FPS follow ups in a row decided that heavily restricting ammo is what is fun about shooters.

Day late, but happy b-day to Square-Enix. The merger of the two at least, April 1st 2003. Can't really name a publisher/developer combo with more influence on my taste and preferences in games.

I even like their crappy games for the most part. 3rd Birthday? Ok in my books. Type-0? Easily a top 10 FF to me.

I just wish they would use their in-house CGI team even more, and also I wish their PC efforts were a bit less wobbly.

Several more people were complaining about the price of Gears Tactics in Europe on the Steam forums. As a result, the community hub for this game is disabled now (or my region is banned). F*ck off Microsoft! 😡
Looks like whole App was deleted from Steam. So probably a mistake :p

It's too damn shame that most of the older Enix RPGs never made it to the west. We have Star Oceans and DQs, but stuff like Mahojin guruguru, Portopia, Eurasia Express, etc. will probably be lost to time.
