I think that Quackshots is real.

We know that Game Atelier and FDG are doing something together again, why not this?

HOLY MOLLY THIS POST IS GOLD!

Few questions :
1. All these are good for a first time playthrough?
2. I've heard about 7th Heaven Mod. What does that do? Also what about Tifa's Bootleg?
For no. #1, I'd say so. Unless you have a particular nostalgia towards Cloud's in-game model or the early 90s localisation, the mod is good for first-time players as well because they're not trying to diverge from the vanilla experience.
7th Heaven is a mod manager for FF VII, you don't have to install it if you only want to use The Reunion though. Unless you're trying to mix and match with other mods. Tifa's bootleg is basically a mod manager as well, it has since been superseded by 7th Heaven.
Excellent news. Let's hope for a good localisation since it'll be a shame if the quality lowers even further.

I recently went back to Hollow Knight. Back when it was released I "finished" the game (well, I got an ending), but it's pretty amazing just how much completely optional content there is in the game. Really looking forward to Silksong.
Hollow Knight has so much content that I'm disappointed that most recent DLC just mostly turned out to be rehash (or at least it feels like it, never played too far)

Guess there's no issues posting it here since a Steam release is pretty much a lock - albeit belated.

I had the strangest bug happening on my Steam client.
I checked my Steam list of installed games, and I had... Operencia?! o_O

Clicking on it, I only had the option of purchasing it.
Clicking on a further menu, I selected to uninstall it, and it was finally gone from my list (despite not uninstalling anything, nothing was installed).

I was a beta tester for the game, but before they announced the EGS deal, they revoked the Beta keys, so the game is surely not in my library, and I checked and I surely didn't have the game installed.
I don't know what the hell happened, the game was not listed a couple of days ago, but the launch of the game seems to have "triggered" this bug.

---

In other news, another free DLC for Dying Light:

Such a shame I can't claim any free stuff for Dying Light since it's technically not available where I live (Germany).
Have to use a VPN to even access its Steam page but that doesn't work when I'm logged in.

Don't watch the announcement trailer if you haven't played CS3 though. In a true Falcom's Twitter style, It spoiled a key element of a certain plot.

I'm glad the dropped the ridiculous "End of Saga" line after CSIV.

Excited to actually play CSIII later this year (I already bought it), cause I'm still wading through Zero and probably Ao after that. Gonna be a good couple years for trails.

Hopefully the PC version to TOCS4 wont take too long, the fact that they mentioned it when announcing the PS4 version is a good sign.

Make sure you play the Crossbell duology before CS3.

Caved in on Insurgency Sandstorm. Was not gonna buy it, but had a lot of fun with the free weekend and feels like a great mix between ArmA 2 and CoD.

Now I won't buy any more games unless they are 75% off or more and I desperately wanna play it.

Keep telling yourself that. :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:

I did that in the month of January, where I spent the whole month without buying anything.
Then, in February and March, the purchases easily made up for the "lost" month. :giggle:

But yeah, small steps.
I'm spending less money recently, and skipping titles I previously would have bought on day one, only for them to remain unplayed.

This is another incoming April release I am quite looking forward to but screams bomba

The original was a bit messy but ambitious enough that I admired it and would like to check out the sequel, but man this is not how you handle a game release.
Keep the title on indefinite delay for literally years (this was announced back in 2016 and then delayed in 2018 to 2020, a delay that pretty much everyone thought was a joke cos the slip was so large) and then announce a release in about 2 weeks time.
Madness.
I imagine the fact that the sequel isn't being published by Devolver unlike the original is saying a lot sadly.

I'm not sure what happened there, but yeah, the game just took too long to come out, and now the people who would probably care are not that interested.

Devolver was originally going to publish the game, I believe (they presented it at some conventions).

I just got the true ending in Hollow Knight.

The (true) final boss was probably the hardest non-optional (as in, required for an ending) boss in any game of this style I've played. Took me a lot of attempts. The ending makes up for it though, much more satisfying than the other ones.

CSGO got a new anime skin and it goes for more than $300 on the steam market (no joke) :blobyesanime:
The day gaming opens the door to furry art microtransactions is the day it explodes into a multi-trillion dollar a year industry.

Hey, Grip VR is pretty good. It's a lot better than I expected.. My main comfort issues came with the menu animations, a bug with the loading screen, and analog controls. Analog controls are too imprecise for me in VR, but switching to gyro steering fixed that up right quick.

The only time I felt off was when I was messing around at the end and crashing and bumping into everything. I'm going to play a bit more later. We'll see how it goes when I actually learn how to play and do the crazy stuff. If anyone has the January Humble Choice (Dirt Rally 2.0), give it a try. Just make sure you play a round or two in the normal pancake mode first.

Better a late release while knowing that a PC version will exist than having the porting teams crunch.
The PS4 version already exists after all, so it can come out once the localization is finished (it wouldn't make sense for them to delay the PS4 version just to wait for the PC and Switch versions to be ready, after all).

Everytime Catherine FB is on sale on PSN I wonder if Atlus will ever port it to PC. Catherine is one of my favorite games of the last generation and I still haven't played FB in the hopes of a PC version.

Started playing Life is Strange 2 and wow such a step up from the first one! It looks fantastic! But man I really need retrain my brain haha, all I do is chase collectibles and do savescumming when I'm not happy with a choice, completely destroys the flow haha, also that check points are like hours apart.

That Lodoss War metroidalike game is ... ~60min or less apparently? That's hard to understand.

Edit: oh god damn. Missed the large blue early access sign. Not done yet. I thought it was the full release. Gonna buy it then.

I've also had a lot of trouble with that battle before finally overcoming it. However, once I did beat it I've found myself easily capable of repeating that feat whenever I felt like replaying that fight. I mastered that boss to the point where I started feeling that maybe it wasn't that tough after all and beating it wasn't actually that impressive. But you saying that you found him that tough at first too means that maybe I should give myself a teeny tiny bit of credit for taming it by now

And yes, that ending is fantastic.... and heartrending too

I beat it on the second try. That's just how I am. Born like this.
I tanked the shit out of him with all the blue mask charms and won on the last mask left. Top strategy: max your health out, then button mash like it's Street Fighter.

Shoutout to all the people that can actually wait a year for the sequel to a 100+ hour RPG and not hop right to a spreadsheet translation. Those people wouldn't have survived the FC/SC days back in 2012 like the rest of us boomers.
Honestly glad I was only into Ys back then. That was bad enough

Ah, a new month and a new thread! Awesome job as always, lashman :cat-pizza-blob:

Tomorrow Is my brother's birthday. I initially thought about gifting him RE3, but the reviews don't seem that great. I'd gift him Gear Tactics, but it's 70€...

I could also just gift him some Steam funds and let him figure it out... :thinking-face:

Yeah, like you already noticed, it's an early access release.
The developers did the same thing with the previous game. They will be releasing the game in "chapters", until it's fully complete.

Considering the asking price, and how much I love their games, I bought it basically just to support them, they deserve the money.
And, I already played through the current content, and it's just awesome!

Yeah it looks cool and a 1 hour installment sounds ok to me. My time is getting eaten up by other stuff lately.

To be honest, when it's usually an early access release from a developer I like, I buy it, I spend 5 minutes with it (to sample how it plays), and then I wait for the final release.
I'm not much of a "chapter" guy.

But, this one I actually played until the end, and explored every bit of the map.
It really is a lot of fun. I think I even like it more than their previous game, Touhou Luna Nights, which was already awesome.
It's probably the closest we'll have to a new Castlevania game in the near future.

If I was Konami, and I had to hire a team to make a new Castlevania game, I would definitely hire these guys.
