Random thought of the day

I wish there were more deck-builders that are not rogue-likes/lites. Like proper RPGs with a story and shit. Are there even any?
I don't think it qualifies as a deck builder and it barely has any RPG mechanics but the story in Thronebreaker is pretty amazing. Just make sure to skip all the standard non mandatory battles since the game drags pretty much towards the end.

It's also on a historical low until the end of month.

Wonder if Heavy Rain will the first Quantic Dream game I manage to actually finish.
Nomad Soul was fun for a while, but gets too annoying somewhere around the middle, and the less said about Fahrenheit the better

I actually enjoyed Heavy Rain a lot. Beyond was a boring mess tho.

That depends on how much RPG you want in them, fullblown RPGs with deckbuilding like Baten Kaitos and Lost Kingdom are very, very rare.

But you do have some approximately RPGish to varying degrees such as
Gwent
Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories
Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist of the Roses
Yu-Gi-Oh! The Sacred Cards
Yu-Gi-Oh! Reshef of Destruction
Yu-Gi-Oh! Worldwide Edition: Stairway to the Destined Duel
Magic: The Gathering
Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales
Steamworld Quest
Hand of Fate
The day you'd cave in and decide to support EGS will be the day that I lose my faith in humanity 😂

How fortunate, cos i won't ever

I think Dauntless and Fortnite are the only games with Epics crossplatform system. Both Blands 3 and Satisfactory (I assume) uses it's own thing.
I wouldn't make that assumption just yet.
They might use their own accounts in the end but still use the services because of its modularity.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Satisfactory devs just underestimated the work and testing needed for cross store multiplayer.

Or they had to wait because they planned to use Epic's crossplatform solution and it wasn't available until just a few weeks ago. And who knows, Epic's solution might be a doozy to implement or garbage or both.

They should have choosen the better store with the better features. :D

I'm looking for more friends on Steam, so if you want to add me then that would be great.

I'm online all the time, but I use Steam's invisible mode.

Looks like it's on sale too.

Somehow I keep forgetting about Thronebreaker. Maybe because I associate it with Witcher first and I associate Witcher with regular combat first and not Gwent.
Thanks for reminding me!

Baten Kaitos and Lost Kingdom were exactly what I was thinking of when I wrote that post. It really is a shame that they are such a rare breed.
That said, I haven't actually finished any of them, so perhaps I should just do that :thinking-face:

And I actually have Hand of Fate 2. Should play that as well.

Hooray! 1404 was a game I dropped many hours into. Was also the game that prompted me to start upgrading and then building my own PCs. I bought a graphics card to play it but it didnt fit into my off the shelf Dell computer so i just went ahead and bought all the other bits and built one.

You're right, I'd love something like the Pokemon TCG on gameboy... I know there's the Ittle Dew card game that's similar, but I don't like the gameplay.

Also, I WOULD REALLY FUCKING LOVE A PORT OR REMAKE OR A CLONE OF METAL GEAR AC!D 2. I think, for me, to be one of the best card games played on console. It's a great hybrid of deckbuilding (you build your deck to use on a mission from the cards you have unlocked) and tactic in the actual gameplay.
Also you got cards buying (with game currency) FUCKING BOOSTERS LIKE A TCG AND WHEN PROGRESSING THEY WOULD UNLOCK NEW THEMED BOOSTERS WITH A FAKE AD:
