A next gen. game is loading in extra details at roughly the same distance as current gen. games?
Are you talking about block like artifacts? The cutscenes are prerendered movies coming from the original version. Durante talked and complained a bit about it in his article. It is as it is.Anyone else having aliasing issues in the movies of P4G? Game itself is fine. AA is activated in the settings.
Stupid question but, without the source movies in better res, there is nothing one can do about the quality ?Are you talking about block like artifacts? Other than Yakuza Like a Dragon, I'm guessing that they may be working on releasing Yakuza 3, 4 and 5 at the same time, and since that's 3 games that they have to port, it's normal that it's taking longer to arrive. So, I've been thinking about the lack of Yakuza at the PC Gaming Show and now I'm wondering if they're holding off until the Microsoft thing so they can announce Xbox+PC at the same time. I really hope they're not holding back the PC releases just because of the Xbox ones, though, because it's been over a year since Kiwami 2's PC release and it's not even out on Xbox yet...
You are asking the wrong person, but Durante suggests AI up scaling for those kind of situations in his article.Stupid question but, without the source movies in better res, there is nothing one can do about the quality ?
Re-encoding or some other magical shit ? (I'm stupid) ((oh, I already said it, I'm really the worst))
Yeah, that's what I'm wondering. Now in practice, the game having Denuvo means all of that is maybe nil, but in theory, what could a dedicated modder do ?You are asking the wrong person, but Durante suggests to use AI up scaling for those kind of situations in his article.
I remember somebody doing it for a short sequence in Babylon 5 (manually, frame by frame) and the results were quiet okay (remastered footage is at 0:18)
I have no idea how or where the movies are stored or what files are encrypted with Denuvo. Maybe they are part of some kind of library that can be accessed and things can be exchanged? As said, I'm absolutely the wrong person to ask.Yeah, that's what I'm wondering. Now in practice, the game having Denuvo means all of that is maybe nil, but in theory, what could a dedicated modder do ?
Could we see the same type of things we sometimes see in movies (Star Wars fan something edition) ?
I really liked it but interest puttered out after a while. I'd still recommend it you like the idea of a wholesome family battling strange things in a strange land .Did someone play Children of Morta ? How is the rogue-lite aspect ? What do I lose or keep when dying ?
Shouldn't the Hyperdimension Neptunia format be .nep files?Persona 4 Golden - Amicitia Wiki
amicitia.miraheze.org
According to that page the PC data is in the PAC files which are archives in the Hyperdimension Netunia format. I'd expect some modding tools to be updated for the PC release quite quickly.
Wow. I have anime blocked, so this won't show up on my homepage. Pretty cool of Valve.
Shouldn't the Hyperdimension Neptunia format be .nep files?
Someone already figured out how the movies are stored and extracted them. Denuvo generally doesn't prevent asset modding.Yeah, that's what I'm wondering. Now in practice, the game having Denuvo means all of that is maybe nil, but in theory, what could a dedicated modder do ?

We completed it in local coop. The game is really "lite" on the rogue (which I appreciate). You only lose your progress in the current sub-dungeon (which is never that big). Your global progress through the dungeons, your level/xp and the currency you use for permanent upgrades are all saved,Did someone play Children of Morta ? How is the rogue-lite aspect ? What do I lose or keep when dying ?
It will, probably. Can Persona 4 make it in this weeks top 10? (should release in ~12h I think)
Now imagine if it hadn't leaked.I really love when games get announced and dropped at the same time. Sure I get that devs need time to promote and build hype for their games but wish we got more games like this.
The wild thing is that the only reason it leaked is that the event moved (and therefore the release date). Now imagine if it hadn't leaked.
That's a good point. The party dynamics are the best by far in P4 though.playing the intro of Persona 4 again, I prefer the start of P3 to P4 and P5
What I like about the start of Persona 3 is, that you are not this superhuman being that has the power to summon Personas and is seen as a god by his peers right from the start like P4 and P5. You are just one of the new members of this secret organization who is a little special but still needs the help of his friends and mentors to navigate the shadow realm.
Will you make a fix like what you did with Dark Souls? The wild thing is that the only reason it leaked is that the event moved (and therefore the release date).
If it had gone as originally planned it would truly have shadowdropped without even a credible hint. Think about the mayhem.
That's a good point. The party dynamics are the best by far in P4 though.
I also think I've figured out what's wrong with all 3 Persona games' pacing, and how they could relatively easily fix it. Might write about it in the P4G thread later.
Yeah, P4 has both P5 and P3 beat it there. That's a good point. The party dynamics are the best by far in P4 though.
Tim's idea of getting people to notice EGS
Timed exclusive, giving games for free, and paying ng money to advertise these free game giveaways
Valve doesn't do much
P4G releases
Profit without having to give stuff away for free and have people advertise the game for free
Luigi wins by doing absolutely nothing.------
There was hype surrounding the event.
Had they done it like Yakuza that would have been great. The confirmation stuff was nice but did kill some of the joy and also when the game released before the event started.
Oh well.
The original is better anyway. The Full Body content hurts the game.I'm tempted to buy Catherine as a 'reward' of sort to Sega / Atlus, but with Full Body coming to Switch, that pill is a bit difficult to swallow.
I've seen this opinion a lot. What's wrong with full body? The original is better anyway. The Full Body content hurts the game.
Same song and dance with DQ11. I still haven't bought or played it, and wouldn't want to buy the Switch version if there is a possibility of an update to the PC version. Though I'm really doubtful about that one.I'm tempted to buy Catherine as a 'reward' of sort to Sega / Atlus, but with Full Body coming to Switch, that pill is a bit difficult to swallow.
I would say mostly that the dungeons and the time management are too distanced from each other, having a big chunk of one and then a big chunk of the other instead of having the two more intersplicedI also think I've figured out what's wrong with all 3 Persona games' pacing, and how they could relatively easily fix it. It's not something that's easy to fix after the fact. By "relatively easy" I meant more that I don't think it requires a lot of core changes to the game design. Will you make a fix like what you did with Dark Souls?
Yeah, that's exactly it.I would say mostly that the dungeons and the time management are too distanced from each other, having a big chunk of one and then a big chunk of the other instead of having the two more interspliced
The new content doesn't add anything. The story was compete without it. The scenes with Rin feel like bolt-ons rather than being important to the plot.I've seen this opinion a lot. What's wrong with full body?
I am facing the same problem. Currently playing Tokyo Mirage Session and Dead Cells on Switch, as well as Supraland on PC. Counting down to Hardspace: Shipbreaker on 16th and the upcoming summer sale where I plan to grab Deep Rock Galactic and other stuff... In no way I should start a long-ass JRPG now, but an irl friend just gifted the game to meBut hell, I'm already playing Enderal and Final Fantasy 12 and there's a Steam seal in like 2 weeks where I planned on picking up some Atelier and
I think the most that they said was that they had not completely ruled out the option. Which many viewed as being the polite version of saying it will not be an update to the PS4 or PC versions of the game.Same song and dance with DQ11. I still haven't bought or played it, and wouldn't want to buy the Switch version if there is a possibility of an update to the PC version. Though I'm really doubtful about that one.
Did someone hear whispers going in that direction ?
I may even buy the PC version anyways, not that the graphics are everything but I'm not sure I care that much about side stories.
The hype was real.Luigi wins by doing absolutely nothing.
Does Persona games have individual stories or is it good to play all of the first games before?
That's a bizarre problem and a solution.Yay fixed the sound problem I was having! Seems I can't have the game in the default steam folder or drive. If I have the game on an external drive it works. Yay now I have sound... but now I have to run it from a slow ass external drive haha!
You don't want to reward a company for releasing a game, especially one which crashes whenever people attempt to stream it.I'm tempted to buy Catherine as a 'reward' of sort to Sega / Atlus
Check if there is an even cheaper option:I feel tempted to refund P4G and just get it cheaper from HB. Its a $5USD difference. I would basically be getting the Deluxe Edition stuff for free. But then again ATLUS gets more money?
