About Flight Simulator:

Game will be 150GB and those 10 DVDs are only half of that.
Makes me wonder why they don't offer a BluRay version tbh.

Anyway, gimme the floppy disc version or get out Microsoft.

Its for the nostalgia of having to switch discs during installs. Except they clearly went overboard and now make you do it 100 times more. LOL

Disabling Steam input for Death Stranding made the game jump from 74 fps to 110 fps for me, with FidelityFX CAS (whatever that is), I gain 125 fps.

Right click in Library on game -> Properties > Steam Input Per-Game Setting -> Forced Off

My PS4 controller is also fully working btw.

The last time I installed a game from disc was... The Sims 3 maybe? I remember being asked questions during The Sims installations, because they all took forever. Even back with The Sims 1 (maybe my poor PC was responsible as well).

I'm really enjoying Death Stranding. 5 hours in and boredom has not hit me yet.
It's an oddly relaxing game.
I was worried I would find all the walking/traversal boring, but it's suprisingly not.

Listenign to calm/chill music in Spotify while traveling in the game is quite franky amazing.

Thoughts on this list?

Then again these jRPG fans have an odd definition of 'short' for these kind of games ^^;

The water is nice and warm on Linux.
I recently decided to give Pop_OS a try for their tiling feature (shoutouts morningbus), and was pleasantly surprised by how streamlined and simple it has become. I was on Steam and playing windows only games via Proton in minutes.

The only game off of this that I've played is CT. Some pretty interesting looking titles on that list though.
Problem with playing older JRPGs is that they're often somewhat pricy, I found. Or I'm not looking in the right places. Another case for more PC ports!

I live for the auto-tiling. It makes going back to Windows hard.

I'm glad they're making progress in Battleeye under Wine. Multiplayer games make up a significant amount of my gaming time now but it's wild that that's all that is missing for me.

What a trip the last ten years has been in terms of bringing Linux up to be competitive with Windows. If I was a single-player only gamer I don't think I'd bother with a Windows license.

It looks like Sony is still tinkering with Horizon pricing even today. Earlier, they reduced the EGS price from $29.99 to $14.99 in here, which means it'll be available for purchase at $4.99 with the coupon.
Sony raised its price by 37.6% at my region on Jun 9th and now I am not going to bother until steep discount.

I wonder if GMG is planning to do a big sale now that they're revamping their VIP system.

Hmm, the new XP system on GMG is interesting. My account is at bronze. Let's see how much discount I will be able to get.

CD Keys still lists the game as including DLC !
Not sure if you still can have pre-order DLC + day one DLC :thinking-face:

I would say 'probable', but I would hate to give you a misleading info.
Don't think so, not on Steam at least. This is the package being sold now, and this is pre-order package - as you can see, the one being sold is missing the pre-order content (1258610).
If you want to be 100% sure that you get the pre order stuff then you have to buy the physical copy since all of those should be day 1 editions
Thanks guys. this more or less confirms my thoughts. I love Kojima but I decided not to get Death Stranding now since I'm more in the mood of playing something else in this moment of time, and hey, might as well just wait until I upgrade to a GPU that supports DLSS considering how much it apparently improves the experience (30XX When!). I also know it's completely irrelevant to Death Stranding, but I still haven't played Kojima's last two games (Peace Walker and Phantom Pain), so that's one more excuse not to spend the money right now!

Hope everyone who's playing it now has a blast, and if this is your first Kojima game, consider giving Metal Gear, one of the best series in video games, a try next!

They include Suikoden 1 AND THEN 4??!?!?!?!??? Suikoden 1 sure. JUST PLAY SUIKODEN 2! Its not that much longer (assuming you skip the all 108 bullshit), and is maybe one of the best JRPGs? Suikoden 4 is a travesty. Don't play that game.

Lots of other weird choices on there. Lots of really old JRPGs that require lots of grinding that I dunno if modern players want to put up with (old DQ and FF for sure)

Yep, it has gotten pretty straightforward to setup. In fact the OS install process to booting up a game I'd say is a lot faster than Windows.

Tiling window managers are pretty great, though I'm currently using GNOME with an extension for this. I've had good experiences with bspwm though.

If they can solve the issues with BattleEye and EAC then Linux will be able to play pretty much everything.

What are the pros of using linux for a casual user ? More elegant UI ? Faster ? Other things ?

The biggest thing I know about Linux is that it is maximally customizable. You can customize anything if you put in enough work. You can change every font, every window, every command line to be something different. You can have things happen when you open windows or fire off jobs automatically very easily. It all requires some esoteric knowledge that is pretty easy to find and figure out if you have some computer background.

However, that customization comes with downsides. Much of that requires getting into some deep computer places and without some guidance you're gonna be lost really fast and might cause harm to your system. Though these days it should be pretty tough to do anything you can't fix unless you're at a command line typing "rm -rf *" or something else very bad. The package managers and such you'd use are all very good now adays.

I don't use it for anything other than programming, for which I tend to use it exclusively. I will say that compiling and doing other programming things I find to be MUCH easier on Linux than windows and it isn't even close. So that's another plus I guess. I don't use it at all for gaming though.
