They closed one but there are still four remaining.

Nudging players to explore a character creator beyond the basic human, isn't really calling out anyone.
For a 60th Anniversary celebrations, the deals are just OK to meh at best. Had hoped that esp. their Japanese games would've gotten better discounts.

I guess the assumption was a joke like this would set off the angry white male gamer babies that act like they're oppressed every chance they get. Most of the response to the post has been positive but theres still a few piss babies crying.
The funny part is, Most people arent going to read this blogpost except the hardcore fanbase, and I doubt the crybabies have the attention span to read through a dev log, So a screenshot of just the joke in question blowing up on twitter is likely to direct more hate at Larian than they would have gotten otherwise.
I'm looking at the set up of the Japanese VA (Tanaka Rie) and it just seems a bit unusual. For some stuff it seems that she live streams stuff just off the PS4 and most likely just uses a mic that's attached to the PS4 controller but in some other clips it shows her and some other person playing games together in the same physical location.
Also this is the PC thread and are we not going to talk about AMD? And other PC stuff (there very likely are dedicated threads to this stuff, but realistically this is were most of use likely gather)? I have not done a lot of research but the next series of Ryzen processers are really not that big of a jump? Even their new high end GPU seems to be something. Close to the RTX 3070??

Among US seemed to have hit is peak about 2-3 weeks ago.
PS there seems to be more people playing Phasmophobia than either Fall Guys or with Avengers.
By the way what was it that made Fall Guys so popular that you had brands wanting "partnerships", back in March to May you did see something similar happen with Animal Crossing (that game is still popular now but it seems to have hit its peak just before Summer started.
Also I've had Uppers on my wish list since October 12 2018. Wow so it took about 2 years for them to finish the PC port?
One month from now the XSX and the PS5 will be officially out and all of that.

I actually never played Monkey Island 4 or Tales from Monkey Island....
Just played the first 3 games. When 4 arrived I remember that my then computer couldn't handle the 3D graphics.

Something I found a bit funny. So it seems that Forbes made an article (Its not an official article but rather more of an opinion piece by a "senior contributor", it was shared by @yosp)
It mentions G Impact. I talked about how the PS5 was going to be hard to be as it's article headline. I was thinking the article was going to mention how the game will be upgraded to the PS5 and how it will make use of all these cool things that are only available on the PS5 that the mobile and PC versions of the game never could type of stuff. And well it was not about that. Basically the article talked about games and how PS5 will be BC and how the PS4 had a lot of good games and third party support and stuff (which I do find funny since that maybe have been true at some point but that has been changing in recent years with some Indies just not even seeing a reason to even release on Playstation anymore but yosp may likely change that? And there is also fan service stuff in Japan, with the recent Uppers likely having the PS4 version just canceled. ) I mention that because in the article they specifically mention that devs make games for PS since that's were gamers are and gamers play on PS since that's where the games are at. This is both correct and incorrect at the same time depending on the type of game that you play.

Larian is right to be upset when they give people a robust character creation system and people turn around and betray them by not making anime characters.
Should i get RDR2 for 36 Euro or should i wait? How gamified is the game? I had not much fun with HZD as a open world game.
It's their own fault for not providing a robust anime character creator.
Regarding RPGs, I always try to create myself, or a ideal version of me and I'm 100% generic white male even at best haha!
Meanwhile, there is still no PC2 in sight. Why we PC folks always treated as secondary citizen? Outrageous.
I am actually pretty excited towards Xbox series x. The backward compatibility looks awesome and it literally sold me the console. Won't have money for it in foreseeable future though so I will wait till next year to get one.
I would like to know as well. What is the default character in the creation tool? Is it randomized, or does it start with a preset one? If so, what is it? I do not believe that most people would spend time in the character creator. The game is in Early Access: most people would mash "Enter" to start the game right away, especially with the hype over the game name. If there is no default character, my theory would be proven false.
Since Larian has the data, they should show some top 10 of characters (character with the most common options, character with the second most common options, etc.), and they should show the character over number of play-through. Most people will mash "Enter" for the first play-through and spend time with the creator for the second play-through. They should also provide more data analysis, because it is pretty cool. I liked the community stats regarding choices in Telltale games.

If Best Buy was not sold out I would buy both at launch. And BC sounds nice for both of them
I mostly want to play original Xbox and Xbox360 games on series x, whereas PS5 don't support older gens. I would have planned to buy PS5 earlier if PS3 is also BC.
Is the Yakuza one still open ? Or, more importantly, is the big one, the historical one, open ?

Yeah, I must say that between me losing any faith in Gears / Halo being ported to PC, and Game Pass, I fucking would gladly buy a Series X.

I have no problem playing any form of pre-designed character, but when it comes to me creating... white, male, human. Always.

I usually dont mess around with character creators that much these days so yeah, generic white dude #12983734. I will give him grey hair and if possible a big grey moostache or fluffy beard.
I alwys pick the standard dude option and I’m done, if it’s anime I’ll pick green hair.

It's a beta, the game is unfinished people do not customize that much because they'll have to repeat the 20h of gameplay anyway.
It's also not worth it for every game imo: I won't create a unique character for CP2077, nor did I do so in Mass Effect or Divinity OS2.
Now for MMOs games? I can tweak for hours. It depends on my mood and the game tbh.

I always spend 1-2 hours on character creator. I usually have a slight idea on the avatar's personality (eg. tsundere princess, mercenary with sad childhood, mood maker in parties etc.) and adjust it accordingly. Always consider these traits in-game as well (eg. if I was a princess, I wouldn't jump around like crazies).
Not sure which one is more historical. All of them look very similar both outside and inside, and all of them are huge with a few floors.
And yeah, I have no money as well. So... no new hardware for me soon.

I thought about creating a weird character but then I did what I always do and made a male Half-elf ranger with a beard named "Arvarodd" Been playing that character since BG1!

4 has its moments but overally it was a huge letdown for me. A lot of it felt like retreading old areas, reusing old characters for a fan-fiction-esque story. In fact, I never felt compelled to play much of Tales because of that. I want Ron Gilbert to make a "real" Monkey Island 3, like he envisioned. He said he had a trilogy in mind, and Curse, albeit a good game, was not his creation, as we know.
Haha, yep, I see that anytime a main character is not a white guy, someone wants to change it. They never mind when it IS a non-changable white man, of course, and women/non-white people dont seem to complain (as much, anyway, I never notice it at any rate, so this is basically all anecdotal hearsay).Nothing will ever satisfy white male privilege though.
I do like character creators myself as well, and I generally like playing as a woman more than as a dude. If its fantasy, I'll usually go elf or human, nothing weird (like the Skyrim animal races or something demonic, or dwarves). Do we have a "show your created characters" thread?
But the second generation PC, the IBM PC/AT already came out in 1984
(It has a 80286 processor instead of the 8088 of the original PC -- but if thats not "2" enough, there's also the IBM Personal System/2 from 1987

Finally finished Cold Steel 3.
Gonna tackle Yakuza Kiwami 2 and Atelier Ryza next. God bless family sharing, I don't own either of those games lol. Gotta play through the whole Yakuza saga on PC before I die. The games started to get pretty damn long with the PS3 entries but I want to revisit them with the improved visuals and frame-rate, Kiryu's saga is one of my favorite things in gaming.
