I feel a little bad for Stadia. It reminds me of Mixer for some reason. I like the concept of Stadia, but the execution and decision making is straight trash.

No killer apps have been their biggest failure. Its a shame too because the tech is good but you can't launch a gaming service in today's day n age without a killer app on your store. Give people a reason to go to your platform. Destiny 2 and PUBG isn't good enough.

Amazon is falling down the same path but at least they have Twitch and that big mmorpg releasing next year. But even that MMO is not exclusive to LUNA so wtvr.

What has Google been doing the past 18 months? They have all the money in the world but too afraid to get their hands dirty. They should have dropped a couple billion by now if they were serious about the gaming industry.

MS is gonna wind up sweeping all the cloud gamers anyways because of gamepass. They spent 7 billion plus several more billion to aquire talent, ip etc...and all of it to add value to peoples gamepass sub. That is how you do it.

Great JRPG with an unique protagonist. Be sure to play it in the future. :cat-heart-blob:

Heard a lot of good stuff about it, so I definitely will!

Some worthwhile reading for y'all

All the stuff with the Vita and how unceremoniously they're letting it die is such a huge bummer. It's been memed to death, but it really is a great piece of hardware that Sony seemingly hamstrung at almost every given opportunity.

If Sony actually committed to BC, my interest in a PS5 would skyrocket. They've got the hardware that can do it. Having support for older hardware seems like such an slam dunk move to further lock people into their ecosystem while also respecting the libraries people have already built. It's a win-win for them.

But instead of recycling the infrastructure they've already got in place for PS1, PS3, PSP and Vita digital purchases, they go and effectively pull the plug. I can't wrap my head around it. And then they're also trying sell people on an all-digital console... A great look given all this.

This cloud is only win10? Pretty small cloud frankly speaking.

Hmm. I want to play Cyberpunk with brutally high settings, same with Control. And that's not talking about the new monitor purchase I would like to do.
I didn't buy games this month. I think I can continue.

'Will Check' nailed like a mofo.

If anyone cares:

I wonder if UPlay+ still works by registering with a invalid cc. I was gonna subscribe for 1 month long time back (don't remember why) and I realized the moment I had pressed the "buy" button that I had pasted the wrong number into the CC info, but UPlay+ was still activated, yet no money was taken because it was the wrong card number. I got bad conscious so I contacted support, but they didn't have the ability to cancel it.

Did I read correctly that Cyberpunk won’t be supporting AMD flavor of RTX until next year ?

Makes me wonder if I made the right decision to finally sell mine. Do have a bluray drive that can read/rip ps3 discs though ,so for my limited library, i'm good to go there. Now to hope rpcs3 ever gets to a point they're all playable.

Not really a spoiler, I think, but yes, it seems to be the case. Cant confirm tho, I dont recall it stated specifically.

"One early review of Rune 2 described it as 'Skyrim on steroids'," the suit says. "The hit videogame Skyrim is part of Bethesda's Elder Scrolls franchise and was developed and published by Bethesda and its affiliates. This review signalled to Bethesda and ZeniMax that one of their biggest cash cows was under threat."

It wasn't a review. It was a comment on a trailer...And Rune 2 never looked that good.

Really disappointed in Darkest Dungeon 2 being EGS for ANY amount of time. Red Hook sold so many copies on Steam and as an early access supporter of the first game, it's extremely disappointing. I'll buy it on sale in 3 years I guess.

What is worse is they are using discord as a forum feedback. That stuff sucks then used that way, but it's going to be like Hades. Almost non existent.

Just came across this game. Did anyone here get a chance to try out the demo during the Steam Game Festival?

It was decent. Really impressive graphics, but same-old action platformer.

This is just pure bad blood between Beth and people from Human Head.

I was a Kickstarter for the first game and the news about using EGS just pisses me off and puts them straight on the "deep sale or fuck off" list.
Well done for upsetting existing customers and early supporters I guess.

That can't be real.... Lmfao. what are they thinking 🤣

Who would even call Rune II Skyrim on steroids, they're a different genre, style, everything. They bet on judge ignorance?

Or like there haven't been other actual open world RPGs Bethesda could target and sabotage instead of some has been action game IP.

It's shady how it was handled for sure, but if they did see the game early it was probably just to show it as portofolio piece and seal the hiring deal.

Unfortunately it is what it is. Most indie devs are not going to turn down what is basically free guaranteed money with no downsides, since they now know that most players will still buy the game when it hits Steam 6/12 months later. (see: Hades, Satisfactory, Control, Outer Wilds, etc.)

I honestly don't understand those of you who take EGS exclusivity personal (except in cases where the devs clearly went "hahaha fuck you, peasants!" like the Ooblets folks). Devs didn't care about you before and don't care about you now, just as you mostly don't care about them but only care about their creation. “I'll buy this game in 50 years” will only result in you depriving yourself of something you'll most likely enjoy, since the devs will take their money anyway from Epic, so they won't really be affected financially by your choice.

I guess its more of a desire to stop this 3rd party exclusivity stuff from becoming the norm on PC, so not buying these games might send a message to some devs that yes, you'll get some money up front but your long term sales and reputation might take a hit and there is always your next game to think about that might not get moneyhatted.

The only way to prevent this, I think, is by not buying exclusive games on the platform that paid for said exclusivity. Indie devs will always take that guaranteed money upfront (unless they think they can use their refusal as a marketing push) and understandably so since, no matter how much their previous title sold, they're still small fishes in an industry that's getting richer and richer by the minute, and they're all one bad game or one bad business decision away from going bankrupt. They'll always accept that kind of financial security and I don't think they can really be blamed for it. Hurting the big fish that wants to push the exclusivity model by showing them that purchasing exclusivity is only a waste of money both in the short and long term is the only real way to boycott this business model, I believe.

I can understand those who do both, but I think indie devs are the wrong target.

Dropped my phone. Need a new one, and I'm reading up on what's out there currently:

Honestly? I think a Pixel 4a might be more than enough. I need a device for messages, calls, photos, streaming music via Bluetooth in my car and Google maps navigation.

Any experiences with pixel devices? How annoying are they in terms of google shenanigans?

So if I'm on classic and take to Humble offer I pay 6 a month ?
And if I pause I lose the discount ?
But, more importantly, will I revert back to classic or will they nuke my status ?

edit - Oh it's only for 1 month ? wasn't there a longer offer out there ?

Just pause when u dont like the bundle
My understanding is that accepting the offer applies for the next 6 or so bundles that you buy

Are you guys and girls excited for Cyberpunk?
Not really. Extremely. Not sure.

Firstly because this is the type of gen defining moment that I would prefer to play with high settings, and for the moment I think I could just hope for a very good 1080p.
Secondly because I really liked playing Witcher 3 late with all the DLC installed.
